I didn't even know this camera had shutter speed options honestly. I haven't played with it that in depth. I just use it stationary for my drum videos. BUT I did notice one reason my videos were uploading with really shitty quality was because my ISO was set to auto. Did some test records at 800 ISO...Came out wayyyyy better 👌

The Image Stabilization only works well in bright sunshine and can do so without the jitter. The dimmer the lighting is, the more jitter will show up to the point the image blurs. Lower lighting can cause you to think your cameras Stabilization is faulty. If there is plenty of bright sunshine the Image Stab is amazingly smooth with no jitter at all. I have other cameras including a couple drones that utilize EIS instead of a gimbal and results are the same in low lighting. Must be brighg light. Hope that helps some people it sure had me questioning the quality of this feature at first but it indeed works really nice in the outdoor bright sunshine. I won't even attempt to use the feature unless ideal conditions. When ideal, I sometimes use it most of that time. Panning should be slow. The EIS even works amazing as dash camera, silky smooth.

Jonathan J Scott Films - I thought I had the same issue until I RTFM! I had the resolution set to 4K ultra and that only allows 25 or 30 fps depending on PAL vs NTSC. If you select resolution 4K (3840x2160) you will get various options up to 50/60 fps, again depending on the video standard.

Just to say you're dead right to lock down the ISO and leave the shutter speed on auto. The camera shoots everything at maximum aperture so that exposure is controlled by varying the shutter speed, and the staccato effects of very high shutter speeds are far less damaging in action-cam footage than the dancing grain of high ISOs.
Interestingly, the camera must be applying quite a lot of image correction even to the raw files, as the unavoidable max aperture vignetting is hidden from us.
