+Sulema Montoya None of them will work except for the first one because at the end of each link, there is the word "share" in the link.... trust me, I've done the same
Your tutorials are very useful. I am 33 and have just started using makeup within the past 2 years. Within the past 3 months I've been searching tutorials on youtube to aide me better in applying makeup. Thank you so much for going step by step for a newbie.
I've been subscribed for about 2 years now and I love referring back to your videos like a refresher course as makeup trends change. I'm glad I saw this again because I've been having a hard time with my foundation and now I see I may need to change my application type to a flat kabuki. Thanks for being so awesome!!
The result is also super smooth and flawless. He also made a video about that, I think it's called "the foundation tip that will change your life" or something like that.
HELP!!! I don't understand the difference between using a stippling brush and kabuki brush. It seems from the video, that you apply both in round movements. Which brush creates an airbrushed look?
Never tried the damp sponge method until I saw this, and suddenly my daily foundation application chore (I have rosacea) has become much less painful :)
What if I'm using a matte finish foundation, can i mix serum with the foundation?? Because I find that the foundation tends to cling on some of my dry patches.. Or should I just use a beauty blender?
Use oil! I have eczema that gets really dry even after moisturising and I find that foundation can highlight it rather than hide it. I've started mixing a drop of facial oil with my foundation and it works a dream! I worried that it would affect the longevity of my foundation but it's actually grand. I don't use powder anymore either because it dries me out.
I tried lots of types of foundations but i can,t hide my pores i dk why after nearly 1 hour of wearing it i fee like it gets inside the pores and they look more prominent than before :( plz help
I also have big pores and the technique that works best for me is using the sponge and dabbing the product to my face like he showed. Then I finish it off with loose powder on a small oval brush that I brush in a circular motion. If you don't have an oval brush, a kabuki brush works just as well.
"Piss off the skin" Love it! I didn't realize there were so many different ways to apply foundation! My favorite is using the damp sponge as well and my hands. I particularly liked the tip about going downward with foundation so that the hair does not show up so much! Thanks for such wonderful videos!
This was the first video I have seen where it explains what kind of coverage you get and what type of skin type is best for each method of foundation application. I learned a lot. thankyou
Wayne, I absolutely enjoy watching your videos. You're my ultimate beauty guru, I started getting rid of most beauty videos I have. Thank you, you've been a great help. God bless!
I, too, was so happy to see you mention and use the Rae Morris brush. I'm sure you can imagine my disappointment when I saw it is sold out from her site! Hopefully, they will make more, soon. Thanks so much for all of your wonderful videos!
Great video! I always find yours educational and interesting, but this was especially helpful. I never considered how different application techniques could affect the look and coverage of the foundation. I'm excited to try them!
I so need to get myself a beauty blender. They are amazing!! I love all the different ways to apply foundation. Who knew you could just get a powder brush. wow
I have combination skin type with drier cheeks and always wondered why the foundation stuck to my dry spots and enhanced them in a not good way. This demystifies that. thanks a lot. I guess I'll be using a sponge more often! What a great tip :)
I normally use a sponge to put on my liquid foundation, but I was running late for work this am and just decided to use my fingers and my foundation came out beautiful, i didn't even bother using powder, other than for 1 shiny nose touch up. Great Tips!!
thank god for this video, I had gotten to a point where id invested in brushes but had no idea how to use the things! and sponges- all this time I've grumbled about the loss of product when i just had to wet them down. Im in a never ending battle against dark circles, even when well rested i have dark eyes. Also- using your method of putting very distinct lines on the face, makes you look like a supermodel in low light (i.e. dates) and makes you look thinner in pictures. Love you goss!
Your videos are amazing, thanks to you I now am learning to apply makeup properly and finally understand what most of the brushes are for in a makeup brush set I got two years ago. Thank you :D x
This video is a perfect example of why I think Wayne's is the BEST MU GURU ON UA-cam seriously this is an awesome and informative vid - I learn on this channel !
You honestly are one of the best, informative makeup artist I have watched in a really long time. I have subscribed and wait for your videos all the time. Thanks.
I bought the Beauty Blender sponge to do my look this weekend and I loved it! I need to get a few more, plus all the other must haves I made a list of from watching you!!! FABULOUS!
Thanks for sharing awesome videos Wayne! I now know how to apply the basics properly, thanks to you! I really appreciate the time and effort you give into these videos! and love your personality, so bubbly
I always enjoy watching your videos Wayne, and I learn something all the time.. I actually have a notebook with notes from your videos! hahah thank you for all the effort you put into making clear, concise and as much as possible brief videos! You're amazing!
hi! i saw pretty much all of your videos and they are helping me a great lot! my dermatologist said i should use a manipulated sunblock that is made out of gel and its also a foundation, i started using it and its amazing how it dries fast and stays really dry *my skin is VERY oily so its a confortable sensation*BUT its really really hard to apply! its hard to blend and if you put any concealer it looks so fake! my acne is really harsh so i can't go out without make up..
Ok Mr Goss...I guess I'm a makeup video noob and very late to the party (found your channel this weekend, and probably watched every video you've made already) I'd gotten a Real Techniques sponge a week ago and didn't see the fuss. Until I saw this video and the LIGHT dabbing action you got goin with the Beauty Blender! There was me thinking you spackle foundation into every pore. An actual Eureka moment. I look like a human lady now, thank you!
I think I understand what you are saying.. After I put on foundation I use translucent (clear) loose powder. It sets the foundation and keeps it on for longer. You could also try using a primer or setting spray.
I just love your videos. I only recently started wearing makeup. at 21 I feel that I'm getting a late start and when in doubt or if I have questions your videos always have a answer.
I finally bought a kabuki brush.. I love it! :) it works soo much better than just using my fingers. The price was worth it. I love your videos, thank you so much.
For some reason i really like how you do your titles and use tons of exclamation marks, lol. It's awesome that you don't talk for like 3 minutes before the tutorials start. You're special, you are! You seem like the kind of person who can talk or rant or argue for long periods of time, but you know WHEN to do it. Takes talent too! Interesting video, i only usually apply with my fingers...dur :p
I Stopped wearing foundation, because i just don't like any of them look, i use to use BE for a long time, but I am 52 and I think I have good skin but I see I really don't know as much as I thought ... love watching you!! - I want to use a brush - have to find the best liquid foundation for myself... so will be checking out your videos!!
Another great video, by far the most informative videos on the net for applying makeup. You not only offer the how-to, you offer why, when, where, what for for different ages, etc. Awesome!
Just had a makeup revelation! I have dry, sensitive skin. I use a very soft foundation brush and I love the way it makes my products look, but anytime I try to use something heavier than a tinted moisturizer, my skin looks very rough, even flaky. Your term "microexfoliation" is a perfect description actually. Even primer doesn't solve the application issue. I'm going out to buy a pack of sponges ASAP :) Can't wait to try this technique to get some smooth looking fuller coverage. Thank you so much!
I have that problem as well, plus some acne scars, and I've found that by using a damp, non-latex sponge and by patting it all over the face (instead of just doing down strokes) I get great coverage and my skin doesn't flake!
any kind of oil, almond, rosehip, grape seed oil,but only one or two drops and only with foundations which are more heave like Double wear EL,no with sheer and light foundations ;-)
Love the information, I always learn something so 'obvious' in your videos which helps! With a sponge, can you also bounce it like a beauty blender to get the same airbrushed effect? And wouldn't the damp sponge absorb more foundation
I have dry, older skin, I have found applyingvmineral powder with a Kabuki brush after applying lots of moisturiser is best for me. I apply whilst skin still moist from cream in circular motions from centre of face outward, then use concealer brush for extra coverage where needed:-) I've never had to top up my make up whilst out yet:-) love the beauty blender though:-) more tips for dry/nature skin please sweetheart, thank you:-) XoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoX
I use the damp wedges, the soho beauty blender, eco tools brushes... Now i would love to get the large long brush - the flat radiance brush. brushes wedges/sponges and blending is important I am learning.
by far my face beauty guru!
He reminds me of the counselor from camp rock
omg same
Thank god i wasnt the only one thinking that!!

What foundation did you use in this? It looks flawless!
Your skin is already flawless
Request!!! Could you please do a skincare tutorial? About your routine, about your facial, etc. You have gorgous ,perfect skin. Please!
I've been subscribed for about 2 years now and I love referring back to your videos like a refresher course as makeup trends change. I love that you always wink at the end haha
Which is your preferred method for applying foundation on oily skin? Thanks in advance
tanzin tabassum buffing and stippling brush
bushra malik Brushes make my foundation streaky
I just use my hands for foundation and a triangle sponge for my concealer. Works great. I ALWAYS wash my hands before putting on my foundation.😊
i love how you don't do irrelevant talk and get straight to the point unlike some other makeup gurus. keep up the great work
Eyebrows on fleek. 😉

Wayne Goss can I mix oil in ma foundation? coz I have dry skin
+pooja shah Definitely x
+Wayne Goss Thank you :)

HELP!!!
I don't understand the difference between using a stippling brush and kabuki brush. It seems from the video, that you apply both in round movements. Which brush creates an airbrushed look?
Stippling brush should give you lighter coverage then the kabuki brush. Kabuki will be more full coverage.
I love that you give a breakdown of the different brushes & application for various skin types. Thx!
such a helpful tutorial :) thank u so much
i absolutely love this video, exactly what i needed
Never tried the damp sponge method until I saw this, and suddenly my daily foundation application chore (I have rosacea) has become much less painful :)
Seriously.U just saved my life!!! I have a powder brush and wasn't sure how to use it with liquid foundation. Now i know!!!! Thanks soo much!!!
What if I'm using a matte finish foundation, can i mix serum with the foundation?? Because I find that the foundation tends to cling on some of my dry patches.. Or should I just use a beauty blender?
+Ameerah N Apply a really hydrating moisturizer before plus a primer could help as well. And definitely use a beauty blender or damp sponge :)

Dr.DODO Tommy he did a video about minimizing the pores. you should check it out it's really helpful :)
Raghdaa Al-Tohami try using a pore minimiser primer it really helps makes your skin soft and your foundation look great
I use basic foundation brush... Does that really makes my foundation look as if I am wearing a mask... Do i need to switch on beauty blender?
ria singh No use whatever you feel more comfortable with
"Piss off the skin" Love it! I didn't realize there were so many different ways to apply foundation! My favorite is using the damp sponge as well and my hands. I love how your face & eyes glow in this video!! Thanks for your videos!
My favourite way is my applying Nars sheer glow in Fiji with my Sigma flat top kabuki. These techniques are awesome for other types of clients!
