What game has the EASIEST speedrun World Record?

- Speedrunning is seen as one of the most complicated and difficult things you can do in gaming. But that's not always the case. In this video, i'll be looking at the easiest speedruns that ANYONE can get the world record for. And spoiler alert: the easiest one is SO easy that I even got it in this video.

As smarter people have pointed out, the probability that I portrayed at 6:29 is untrue. it is actually 1/5040, not 1/823,543. My apologies
About Seterra, sure they might not be main categories, but there are categories like New South Wales: Cities where you only have to click on ONE THING. And if you press Alt+R (which resets the game) while hovering over the thing you need to click on, it can be a SUPER FREE world record.
It doesn't _really_ matter for the context of this video, but it is still an interesting thing to point out and explain why the probability is 7! instead of 7^7
@@cileavictoria1229 Well if you click Antarctica, Antarctica is not gonna show up again because you already got it. So now the game picks randomly from the other 6 continents. And if you get Africa, Africa AND Antarctica won't show up anymore. So then the game picks randomly between the other 5. And so on.
That's why it's (1/7)x(1/6)x(1/5)x(1/4)x(1/3)x(1/2)x1 and not (1/7)^7.
@travislina Sorry I don't see how there's no luck associated with the 2nd click. Don't you have to blindly click in order to be fast enough?

Some would argue that WR ties aren't WR, for example this rule applies in Trackmania where an improvement must be found. This means that tracks like A-0 has its 2007 WR of 4.39 likely locked in forever.
Can’t you do things to drive in a straight line faster though? Or does the track not reach enough speed for those tricks to be useful
@@Thymed All you can do is wallhug the s-curve better and finish slightly diagonally. There was a TAS of 4.38 but it was imported into a different game with slightly different physics, so that doesn’t guarantee it’s possible.

personally i think it makes more sense. i think of world records as "you are the fastest run in the world". if you tie someone, you don't have the fastest run - you have an equal run. but it isn't faster than everyone else's, especially if like 20 people match one person's run.
By that logic the world record fastest sprint is not a wr

I have gotten a one click win in minesweeper before in school during computer science... I never realised how rare of an occurrence it actually is
Fun fact: henry stickmen also has a reverse leaderboard category extension (walkthrough%) where you have to watch an endlessly repeating cutscene until your power or wifi goes out irl or whenever you feel like it. the world record is 999h 59m 59s 999ms

I used to get one click minesweeper clears all the time as a kid. I just used a custom board with the maximum size, and minimum mines. You get 1 click boards like 70% of the time.
Found this in my recommended tab, when I reached the end I checked out your channel expecting to see you had 100k+ subs, but no! I'm shocked. What an incredible video for your first attempt at this style. Keep this up dude, it might take many videos like this to build up an audience but you've got the skills. As MrBeast says, strive to make every video better than the last one, so I'm excited for what's next!

damn, I really should've brushed up on my math before telling people what probabilities are true, huh? you're 100% correct and that's a mess up in my part 😅
I was just about to comment the same thing after realizing a day after watching this video. A 1 in 823,543 (7^7th power) chance would imply that any continent could appear more than once on a given try. 1 in 5,040 (7 factorial) limits each continent to one appearance.

2:38 portal 2 had a new player (unity) come in and steal almost all the challenge mode (il) records and also get a really good fullgame time, so that sort of thing can actually happen
I really hate how some people think Minesweeper is super easy or all luck based. The beginner one-click category he shows is not the main category for minesweeper at all. I just play casually and I have a 3 second beginner.
Expert and Intermediate no RNG manipulation are what people play for, and are records you couldn't beat without years of improving your skills. it has some luck involved with the boards, but so does Minecraft with its random seed runs.
Just needed to say this because a lot of speedrun youtubers think minesweeper is super easy.

As a brazilian, I would like to point out that subway surfers has a similar effect of garena free fire, that being a sticky game who runs on the cheapest and older models of smartphone, these owned by most people. This shows the potential the country has for the gaming industry (along with the great sucess of some e-sports teams like SK Gaming on csgo major or LOUD on valorant), but sadly the lack of investment and acessibility is the biggest reason mobile games are so popular among people

as a brazilian i can confirm that we have some subway surfers tiktokers and they are always competing so it makes the community try harder, i remember when these wr were around 12 min and now they are 20

I can confirm that one-click game is possible on newer versions of minesweeper, but it's banned in speedruns.
Very entertaining video. You should keep the momentum going and make more researched and narrated videos about speedrunning. I really enjoyed it and there aren't that many people doing these kinds of videos yet, even if the numbers are growing.

2:06 This is absolutely a nitpick but It is majorly on my nerves. If saying that it's not a full release or a game extension because quote "technically they're just games made inside a game engine" that would classify 90 - 100% of games as not full releases or as game extensions by literal interpretation, since most games are made using either publicly available or inhouse game engines.
Things like the Source Engine, Unreal Engine, Unity, Godot, etc.
I know what you said probably was just phrased poorly and you didn't mean it in the sense you said, but I can't get it out of my mind without writing this comment.

Arguably Matching the any% run for pokemon Yellow based on the old timing system is one of the easiest popular games to get wr in.
Well it does require skill but old timing was based off the ingame timer. So after learning the inputs you can beat the game in 0:00 consistently since there is no rng in that run.
Honestly even with very little skill you could pull it off. My first attempt was 0:01 and I had only read what the steps were. It’s one anyone could’ve gotten after maybe 20 tries. With real time records it’s a bit better but even then it wasn’t the worst thing
@@SuperTheast relatively speaking to press start game then win it does. Also 0:00 is pretty tight 0:01 is incredibly easy. I never tried to go for 0:00. I just learned the run and did it a few times to show off

Fun fact I actually hold the unofficial world record for a mile. I ran a mile in 2:40 which shatters the world record by almost a minute. Now listen you may not believe me and that's completely fine but here's how it happened. So I'm skinny right? Severely underweight so my backpack for school is like half my weight. So I had been practicing racing people on their bikes from school to home while I was sprinting on foot. From the school to my home I first have to go down a pretty steep hill that's like almost 40 degrees. It was a bit scary but thrn one day I decide to time myself as I run that mile to see how much I can improve. So I start the time as soon as I get to off campus to the hill and then leap right into a full sprint. I was running in a full sprint with a backpack on that was about half my weight down a hill that was about 40 degrees steep. Yeah stupid idea I know but at the time I didn't think about it. Turns out when I got home that was just a few dozen feet over a mile from the school and stopped my timer, I had ran a mile in 2:40. Really the only reason why I have a world record regardless of whether it's official or not (at least I know that I have it) is because by some miracle I didn't trip and bash my face in and die when sprinting down that hill. But yeah, unofficial world record.

5:35 Just Dance Games also have a category where time goes from highest 1st its the so called "quick play" category which is in every just dance game but most popular on the 2022 version of the game! The goal is to play the quick play mode for as long as possible (its a mode where you infinitly get songs) the wr is currently over 8 hours

I can't believe that I said 1,024 for the most tied world record and was 3 off.
I remembered I got a world record on hit man 3 xbox, I was #1 on dubai for about 4 hours, not silent assassin just time, and it got beat so fucking fast I went down to 7th place, i’m now down to 28th and behind a whole second
Back in the early 2000s I was tied for the fastest time in minesweeper beginner with about 34 other people I think. It was a 3 click board but since the game clock didn’t record times less than 1 second back then it still counted.
