Quick tip, setup one model, set it up the way you want it, then create another model and copy the setup you just did to the 2nd model...
Do this every time you add a new reciever to make it easier and faster for you to program it.

I have the 4 in 1 so I can bind it with my many Dumbo receivers and it’s really convenient. Range is great but also bought the Nano Ranger module just in case. Guys like Joshua Bardwell and Joshua Bardwell have good setup videos. I did that same lockout with light confirmation. It’s not a walk through the park but once you get the functions you need it’s really worth it.

    I’m going to get one of these three to clean up my 81817272616252 transmitters laying around;
    Futaba 4pm, Radiolink Rc8x, Flysky Noble NB4.
I ain’t going to mess with that radiomaster, I don’t need all that extra stuff.

Nothing against stuff like this but I’m generally happy with the stock stuff, most of my stuff is traxxas and I’ve never really had any issues with them, my main radio is just a tqi with the Bluetooth module and the traxxas app and it works well for me when I want to mess with anything. I picked up a Losi Hammer Rey a few weeks ago and it’s been a great truck and of course that came the Spektrum stuff and I like that too, it’s nice to have the 50/75/100 switch and the lights for the battery percentage too. I’d rather have another truck than spend the money on more radios and receivers but that’s just me lol I’m just not into the technical stuff enough to need to go for that stuff. Seems pretty nice though

I'm new to the surface rc hobby, i got a cayman pro, an mjx hyper go, a boat, and a couple of tiny rc crawlers, but before that, i got into the drone hobby first, so im slightly familiar with how edgeTX works.
What i like about this radio is that it can be whatever you want it to be, it can do whatever you can think of, if you can program it it will happen, and only for a fraction of what sanwa offers..
Also i hate the transmitter that comes stock with literally EVERY rc car, i have 5 stock rc transmitters that i dont use that they (company) could've saved and add the cost to a better quality rc car.

Already done,, need sort out some switches for different modes for 4ws and dig 🤔
But I might just sell it and get the radiolink rc6gs V3 for ease of use, 🤷‍♂️ I've got the v2 but I can't assign switches for dual rates or different 4ws modes,,

@@HolmesHobbies I hear you there , it's just me and technology especially when I'm used to something and how it works ,It's like going from easy basic cell phone and then changing to multi features one that takes an age to set up and even longer to familiarise yourself with,, my patience with tech is very slim ,how I haven't thrown the mt12 at a wall yet amazes me 😉🤣

Missed a GIANT step with binding ELRS. Right after you create a new model on the radio, you have to go into the settings and turn on the ELRS module. If not, when you select "Express LRS" after pressing the system key the radio will basically lock up. This radio is a master-level device, 110% NOT for beginners. This radio makes NOTHING easier. What this radio can do is VERY impressive, but Radiomaster missed the mark big time, and should have cleaned up the interface.

    • @HolmesHobbies

It seems that all the models on my radio already have that done. I'm noticing that they constantly are changing and updating the "stock " firmware

    • @ConnorSmith_24

What are the biggest differences between the elrs and 4 in 1? I have the 4 in 1 and can’t get it to bind with the r85c receiver. (I needed a 5 channel receiver for rear steer and dig). I’ve watched multiple videos and can’t seem to make it bind. What steps am I missing?

I hate this radio. It's absolutely over complicated and relies on people to volunteer to fix the issues on their own time. In other words, a bunch of airplane guys who really don't give a rats ass about surface vehicles.
If you're thinking of buying this system.... Do your homework. Go on the forums and see the interactions. It's a horrible system unless you're some kind of programming guru. It's very frustrating to use. Don't let anyone who got it for free tell you otherwise

    • @HolmesHobbies

    • @DustinRea

@@HolmesHobbies Yeah I own the MT-12. It's a real mess. I'm happy you're not promoting this just because it's good for relations with the company.
The TX is page after page of information and titles that confuse me to no end. Nothing is intuitive.
I didn't receive a start up guide with mine. And the website gets you to edgeTX and a list of radios, none of which are the MT-12.
When on the forums, you have a mix of guys giving you crap for buying a TX that's not for beginners, some people telling you to hang in there and wait till the devs get it fixed, and people angry about anyone expecting the devs to do it all for free.
Meanwhile, Radiomaster advertised this radio as something they're constantly working with developers on to make a good user experience for the customers.
This radio is awesome technology. But it's absolutely a nightmare to use. It's not intuitive at all. It's not enjoyable to use. It constantly angers me. It was a waste of money.
They need a completely new menu and for someone who isn't named Poindexter to be in charge of it

@@HolmesHobbies I mostly crawl and trail, but I do have a growing fleet of on road cars as well. Also interested in FPV and was a big reason I got this MT-12. But I have since decided I need to get a much much better setup to use, perhaps simply because I'm too dumb to comprehend this one. But oddly, I reached out among all the people who claim this thing is super easy and asked if I could pay someone to set it all up for me on to a pile of receivers and not even one person wanted to make a few hundred bucks. So it says to me, it's not actually as easy as they say
