- Erica Stimaker, a 4th generation Alaskan, is the owner of Yeti Dogs - Alaska's most famous hot dog cart.
Located in Anchorage, she and her partner Dominick have been slinging everything from Alaskan reindeer sausage to rattlesnake and pheasant dogs for the last ten years.
MUNCHIES trailed their food cart to taste their famous dogs and Coca-Cola onions and see how a winner of the best "National Hot Dog" contest operates.

Oh man. We are absolutely flabbergasted. Thank you Munchies for including us in this Street Food Icons video. It was a true honor for us. Also, thank you to everyone who has gotten us this far. It's all thank to you ✌️❤🌭
a hotdog for 6 dollars is wild
Its been 10 days after the video stop @ing me apes
That van looks mint. Regret nothing.
Now, I have a stronger reason to visit Alaska. Greetings from the Philippines. Would like to try the reindeer dogs. See you probably a few years from now. 🤣
@@gtxez it’s only $6 😂

I love how she says I couldn't do it without him..and he says she's the brains and he couldn't do it without her....now that's love
Right I’m going to Alaska
I would argue that it is more respect for each other than love.
Lol yea.....that "partner" lol. Thats not love.
Love? Or a director?
Im clapping her cheeks bro
She’s like Batman. She harnessed her fear to make it her identity.
U can't be serious
that’s right on man 👍🏼
Cleaning up the mean streets of Anchorage. One hot dog at a time. 😜

What a lovely couple, humble and kind. I want a yeti dog so bad now

couple goals to me. husband is the goat. working his job and still finding time for her love. they both deserve each other
I’m scared of hotdogs bc I don’t eat pork hard ta tell wats in it hopefully next year I’ll get to try it beef 🥩 style
@@Tay-wd3iv Hebrew national or any cart operated by a Muslim owner are good choices. They're typically forbidden to touch pork so they'll supply beef hotdogs or at least have some on standby if asked
@@Tay-wd3iv Those weren't pork buddy. The reindeer hotdog is literally reindeer meat. Lol there is a reason why you're paying over $6 for a sausage. I'm not sure about the jalapeno cheddar one though that could be a mix of pork and beef.
@@Xmasta420 yea where they at or located cuz ion see non
@@Tay-wd3iv any larger city hell even my small town all hot dog carts only serve beer franks
In a world that thrives on instant gratification it’s nice to see how they continued to persevere and show up. They didn’t buy a fancy truck, they built it. Those hot dogs get marinated in sweat equity
This is crazy! I’ve followed her on Instagram for like a year and half. She even messaged me back about me starting my own hot dog cart in Northern California! Badass chick!!! Love this!! Can’t wait to have my own cart!! Keep killing it girl!! You’re inspiring!
Nice!! What part of nor cal?
Hope all is going well with you! Hot dog slinging can be a dream come true.
@@determineddad7935 sup bro! I live in Sonoma County! 30 minutes north from San Francisco
Ill donate a cart to you
Awesome I used to eat at their food cart all the time . Very cool to see my home away from home . Literally in the koots parking lot that my balcony overlooked.
It makes me so happy to see Alaska covered more in internet and TV, it feels like otherwise we dont exist.
It's ok if we don't exist to the world......shhhhhhhhhhhh........
Ppl will be moving up there by the millions over the next few decades as climate change takes effect.
Nah, Americans have a fondness for Alaska... not its food though. This episode was insightful.
When I clicked on this video I was not expecting it to be nowhere near as endearing as it was. This is definitely one of my favourite munchies videos of all time.
It would be so cool if Yeti would send them like a PR package so they could be rocking all their stuff in Yeti coolers
That would be cool but reality of the world we live in today some executive f*** at Yeti is probably wondering how they can sue the small business for using the name same name
@@moparstuff440 Leave to modern corporate lawyers to copyright the name of an generations-old North American folk legend...
@@moparstuff440 this is probably true sadly._.
“Yeti “ is not the same as “ Yeti dog”.
@@cmsense8193 and also its not in the same line of business, so they have nothing to sue them on
A tip for everyone:
Never ever watch Munchies when its 2am and your stomach is already growling with hunger.
fuckin true bruh 😝
@@alphasam9410 @Alpha Sam lmao i ended up putting some fries and fishsticks into the oven. Rip my self control😂
Rookie move bro.
Seems common sense. Thanks for sharing tho….
@@puzzymonsta69 you definitely lame as hell at the cook out
I rode the coastal trail to Kincaid on bike for several years in summer. The reward was a dog with Yeti dog. A dog, chips and drink for $6 or so. She even gave us credit if we forgot our $. She said get me next time….. there was always a next time. A wonderful Anchorage hallmark, that beautiful shiny truck
There's genius in simplicity. Give me a bun with a hotdog and a sauce on top and I'll be a happy man. These look absolutely amazing.
We had Yeti dog experience while in Anchorage August 2022. NO Regrets!!! Was absolutely delicious and the owner was sooooo nice.
They're good af
She is so modest and humble 💯👌
As always great video from munchies. Nice story. The work they put into that work van was amazing. Definitely great looking and not to be forgotten. Exactly what you want a food truck to do.
We ran a Top Dog hot dog cart for several years. Loved it, loved the people. There’s a great deal of satisfaction serving/feeding others. Great, great story.
Now I want to make a road trip from Atlanta to Alaska just to try those dogs.
If you visit Denali National Park there's also a great foodtruck there that has awesome tacos, burgers and other stuff. When I worked there 4 summers it held us down.
In Atl rn just dreaming
Alaska would love to have you.
It’s worth the drive . Bratwurst with bacon and onions.
Sounds like a beautiful trip. I wish I didn’t get so car fatigued. I fall asleep from Houston to Dallas smh
The Yeti Hunting Permit tags absolutely killed me 😂 These two both seem so kind and silly.
they seem like cool people and honestly thats not a bad price for a quality dog
I'm so happy that you guys are thriving and at least having a good time while doing it.
I really enjoyed hearing and seeing the honesty. That’s someone I’d work for any day.
So chill and down to earth
Would give them business solely on the fact they seem like wonderful people. Food looks amazing too
I loved this! Finally some feel good stories
What amazing dogs they have and anyone would be envious of what they have in each other. Good luck with them both.
It's a great place to get some lunch after a bike ride at Kincaid! Absolutely recommend. Really glad to see a slice of home on a major UA-cam channel, it deserves to be noticed!
Thanks for coming up to Alaska and showing love, Anchorage/midtown resident
The start of this video is classic! Awesome
Congrats Erica, As you know, and I can see it's all about the QUALITY! WELL DONE GUYS!
Great story, I like how humble they both are. Also makes me want a Yetti Dog
Rattlesnake and pheasant?! Oh my God that sounds awesome
The food truck itself looks awesome. Dude did an awesome job fixing it up and giving it a unique look.
My favorite Hot Dog Place!! I have been a fan for years!! It was great getting to know a little bit more about you
So nice to see two such positive people succeeding at such a creative endeavour. I’m hungry after watching this....all the best...Chris 🇨🇦
Love their attitudes. Very nice people humble people would love it around my neighborhood
I live in Anchorage and have visited Yeti Dogs many times it's always the Buffalo sausage or the Reindeer sausage both great every time.
This is dope. You've inspired me to grab the cart I've been wanting and putting off for 10 years.. salute
These really remind me of the stuff they make up here in northern Wisconsin, I'm from the Chicago area so tomato, onion, pickle, peppers, drowned in mustard on a poppy seed bun is always going to be my go to but you seriously can't go wrong with sauteed onions.
Congrats on the biz and the feature on Munchies!!! Definitely inspiring and I hope I get to be on here someday as a fellow hot dogger.
Do it brotha, I’ve had your weenies before and they’re 💣💣🔥🔥
crazy seeing a vice video of ppl i actually personally know and stories I know!
Man I want one of those dogs so bad. Such a nice couple, I am happy for all of their success
I am SO glad that Vice is back to producing standard quality content. I think that they got away from that and saw the effects. This is QUALITY content. Good work.
They should have stuck to this stuff instead of trying to be left wing propaganda and woke.
Great story thanks for featuring.
Looks great. I wish I could live in Alaska. But know no one. Love your establishment. Thank you
I will always support mom and pop food cause you know they put dat love in it
If I could hit a love button for this video I would. Kudos yeti dogs!
Dedication, hard work most importantly love, and will get u exactly where you want to be and more.
yup. had one at kincaid back in the day. really good.
It's Samsquanch, Ricky.
Oh man, I wish I could get some of those. The exotic meats sound so intriguing
I'm happy for them. They put in the work and it paid off.
Yo the background score on the video was fire! Great choice by the editor.
“It hard to say no to a good hotdog” she ain’t lying!!! About to go make me one.
❤️ grill hot 🔥 dogs
We need more of these stories. This is what real blue-collar success looks like.
this is gold, love the Yeti outfit... hotdogs do look delish... awesome content..
Lived in Anchorage for 2 1/2 years and missed this. Anchorage has a great food scene for not a big city, at least by lower 48 standards.
Amigos!! Your hotdogs look delicious-trimmings and the toasted bun makes em perfect. Best of luck. Greetings and respect to all from Durango Mexico 🇲🇽
No mames wuey
Now this is on my bucket list to eat at!
Looks so good!
I would love to visit Anchorage some day, I'll be sure to stop by when I do
Nice van, nice people, nice food, I wish them all the best.
Good series
Love love love Yeti Dogs, and I'm not even much of a hot dog person! Thanks for featuring Alaskan businesses Munchies!
great duo look forward to getting some more of those delicious dogs in july 😋
I can testify, these dogs are fantastic!
I'm from Seward, AK but have lived everywhere from Fairbanks, to Wasilla, to Seward. I moved to Washington in 2007 and have only been back home one time since. This video makes me want to go back another time so I can make a stop at this hot dog truck! The dogs look great and the owners seem really awesome.
I want one of those costumes ASAP! Need one for the cold this Winter
best truck best dogs amazing service i'll be by sbs again thanks again stay warm thank you for the dogs
Glad to see the positive vibes in the comments .
Cause I’m confused as to what’s so special about a hot dog vendor. But glad to see someone working hard for what they want !
Long time fan of Yeti Dogs, theyre a staple of the city and of Kincaid Park. Really gonna miss em after my move.
Wow!!! Loving her, what a awesome accomplishment!!! When I finally make it to Alaska I’ll hunt the Yeti down…. I wanna try all of the dogs heh…
recently started usin carmelized onions on my dogs. it is now as critical as buns. takes 20 minutes to cook the onions down to a real carmelized point so I'll do or 3 onions during a cook. they'll last 2 weeks max in a cold fridge.
Wow, I lived in that white apartment complex across the street from where they first set up in this video. moved away from there years ago but it's neat to see the old stomping grounds, and the Spenard windmill too!
AND your commissary is literally across the street from my current neighborhood, this is hilarious and awesome.
Love These Story's ❤️ 😎
Man the shimmer on that truck is legendary riding clean 🎩
I badly want one now, looks great!
Wow I wish I knew this was in Anchorage I definitely would of tried it out.
The best love the fact she comes to our job at Spenard builder supply every other week will always get dogs from her as long as she keeps makings them
I'm in Alaska and I've never heard of these until now, but I'm definitely going to try them on my next trip to Anchorage!
they don't microwave well, unfortunately

In Ireland we have footlong hotdogs called The Big Foot and they are amazing . Hard to eat a full one tho . Alaska is on my bucket list and when I get there someday.......I'm for sure getting a Yeti !!!!
Those dogs look delicious! Cant wait to get up to alaska and try one.
Love their story
The truck is beautiful. Looks so smooth. Hard to smooth out the dents without any body filler and paint to cover it.
Yeah buddy. Alaska getting some love. YETI DOGS are the best!
Love Indian valley meats the best 👌. Also love this show I normally buy meats from Indian valley meats but I been up north
I go to this stand all the time in the summer lol. Love riding my motorcycle to her rig in Kincaid.
