My best friend in high school's family owned the local funeral home. They had two of these. They were used for "removals", picking up stiffs from hospitals and funeral homes, and taking them to the crematory. None of their breathing clients *ever* sat in the wagons, LOL. The hearse was only ever used to transport coffins and caskets, and they had a short, three-row stretch Cadillac that transported the family to the cemetery. I'm going to bet that there are some holes in the cargo hold of this car where the gurney tied down latches once were. This does look like a nice driver example, and I wouldn't mind having it.
This one's missing the nice chrome dress trim on the B-pillar, which distinguished the Buick from its lesser stablemates. I suspect it was removed during the re-paint and not re-installed, along with the lower body panel rocker trim.
Beautiful wagon, the fact that she's shiny black and factory at that makes the car even better. They did make some of these into hearses. The Caprice is a much better looking ca but in wagon form they are equal
The Olds Custom Cruiser soldiered on like this one through 1990 and then a few more years in the hideous whale tail bulbous version. I think the Pontiac ended in '86.
Notice that this 1990 Buick Estate Wagon has the exact same chime sound used in the 1987-90 Caprice Classic instead of a more luxurious Ford-like chime sound.
@@kazbartv well if your not very deep and it doesn't bother you to drive around in a car that was all about death and sadness and bad energy. Then it's a great car.
Real nice car. Given the quality of GM paint in the '80s, this re-paint is probably glossier than when it was new.
I like the wood grain delete it really makes it look classier
This is a nice car. My father always drove station wagons when I was a kid. If I had somewhere to store this, I'd buy it. Really gorgeous.
Wagons are the best !!!!

Nice everyday car !
Hello how are you doing? I love this wagon like the black 🙃🙃
Nice one. Hard to believe GM made these all the way till 1990. They killed the Pontiac and Olds wagons in the 80s.

I never liked these in station wagons just as sedans and coupe models only 👎 or as a stretch limousine
@@lancehudson6327 Car probably smells like flowers and formaldehyde.
