I recently filmed a vegetarian keto vlog and during my week of being veggie I chanced upon this recipe. I had plenty of coconut flour as well to use up. You folks spotted this paneer paratha in my vlog and so here I am to show you how to make this super versatile keto flat bread which is a naan and also a paratha and also an uttapam. So enjoy the recipe.

Being doctor myself, I was little worried to start keto diet, but somehow wanted to reduce my weight at any cost as I am a diabetic. Your recipe are just next level as you try to maintain the nutrition without compromising on taste and flavor. Great work. God bless.

I absolutely hate complicated keto bread recipes with like 10+ ingredients, which is why I love yours. Yours is so sweet and simple and makes it easy to live a keto lifestyle. A lot of the videos you have posted have help me my blood sugar low since I'm a diabetic. I was diagnosed with diabetes at 17 with a blood sugar of over 230, but thanks to you I have been able to keep it sub 100 without the use of medication or insulin.

    Awesome recipe. Some observations:
Website says 8g Psyllium (= 2 TEAspoons), Video says 2 TABLEspoons. I've tried both with NOW brand psyllium. 2TB, the look and texture was very much like naan. 2TSP (8g), the batch was thinner and more like soft taco shells. Both types were delicious.
Ghee neutralizes the coconut flavor and makes crispier edges more than nonstick spray (I like either).
I only use about a 1/2 cup to 3/4 of warm water. A full cup is way too much.
Part of what is so great about this recipe is that is so flexible; it doesn't require exact measurements for good results. And there's room for experimentation. Thank you!

    • @nicolew9419
      @nicolew9419 5 років тому +1

TheWushuliu how much coconut flour did you use? I followed the video and mine came out gooey not sure where I went wrong. It definitely was not bread like or taco like.

Just made this (1st time ever making Naan bread). I added some garlic to mine. I think I may have added a bit too much water because the dough was a bit gummy... but I rolled it out super thin to a crepe-like thinness, cooked it in coconut oil and a couple of them (the thinner ones) had crispy edges that were just divine! Also liked that the finished "bread" rolls/folds nicely and doesn't crack. Ate it with some Malai Kofta that I made and it was delicious!!! Thank you so much for this great recipe! Will work on tweaking it next time I make it.

In all fairness, I started watching you because Keto cooking + East Asian (Indian) + Heavy Metal = WHAT?! Who can resist the completely unexpected? And especially with this video - ESPECIALLY with this video - I can't thank you enough. One of my biggest challenges with Keto is that everything I eat is wet... translation, not remotely close to dry; like starchy foods fried/baked/dried, and this one tiny thing was literally keeping me from embracing keto for more than a few days at a time.
So I found a few recipes for "keto bread" here and there but they were either eggs disguised as bread or had the texture of sponge cake or were more work than I really wanted to invest into a piece of something dry to eat that wasn't beef jerky. But HERE! I finally found a form of bread that makes me happy, it is fast, it is easy, it is simple and it is Indian... along with the tons of other Indian based other recipes here making keto a lot more palatable than the standard American bacon, eggs, cheese, repeat recipes I find a lot of. (Nothing wrong with it but sometimes, you just want something different in life)
Thank you, thank you, thank you. You have no idea what a huge relief being able to make these little naans and parathas are for me. I can finally do this keto without worrying about slipping up because I desperately wanted something dry like a piece of bread for a change. Rock on!

just tried this and it was amzing! the four combination replicates the fermented rice flour in a beautiful way. it also slightly reminds me of an omlette when made as an uttapam which is so nice because im allergic to eggs! i plan on making these for many things! thanks heaps :)

Omg i just tried this pratha, it's super delicious. I am really amazed, cause i don't even like the taste of coconut flour. But this is over the top, like all your recipes that i've tried, i don't taste the cocunut overpowering. I even made a pan-pizza with it. Love it love it love it, thank you

Thrilled with how good these are. Just the right amount of fluffiness and chewyness. I pressed in nigella seeds on one and chopped garlic & garlic powder on another. Both cooked in ghee. Delicious!

This made me very happy to watch. My husband and I LOVE Indian food and since we went on the keto diet, we were bummed that we could no longer have any of the traditional breads of India. Thanks to you, we now can enjoy it again. And I can only imagine how delicious it is made with coconut flour! WE APPRECIATE your wonderful demo. We subscribed too! ☺

    Sahil,
Sorry for the late comment. I made all these flatbread the same week I saw this channel but somehow I forgot to let you know how delicious they were! Btw, I added some chopped green chillies and freshly plucked coriander to the Uttapam filling and it was a bomb 💣
I shall make some again later this evening. Thank you again and God bless 🙏 ❤
