Teach a man Hebrew & Greek, you feed him for a season. Teach a man to hear HIS voice, you feed him for LIFE. Amen 😉

"It is time for us to return to the truth of all truth in Jesus Christ"..."It is time to rethink everything we thought we knew" ..."More light, Jesus, more light."

Thank you, Baxter, for this clear explanation of how the church ended up where it is today. It answers many questions I struggled with for years. I appreciate your passionate yet restrained delivery.

Anselm built the frame for the coffin, Augustine finished it , Luther and Calvin drove the final nails in the coffin of Christianity. I left Christianity and organized religion because of their theology.

Honestly, I don't get what half of what he says even means, but there is a problem with western Christianity, and our response or lack thereof to deism and scientism which came out of Enlightenment thought definitely has a lot to do with it.

its has become part of the world. Its only a label they put on themselves as a badge of righteousness.

I’m not saying Kruger is mistaken, but what I want to is what he’d say about all the GOOD things the Enlightenment brought? Reintroduced democracy to govt., beginning abolition of slavery and imperialism, ending superstition and the horrors that went with it (burning witches for instance), separation of church and state so the state could not dictate the religion you choose.

He never said the enlightenment was a bad thing, he only said that it caused the church to lose its way

What the other commenter said. There are also different strains of thought in the Enlightenment, so it's not just this one, monolithic thing. There are very good and very bad things that came from the Enlightenment.
