Finally someone that explained clearly and didn’t explain 3/4 of the game at the same time but stuck with the description of the video!
Refreshing …
I actually miss the old system where you could simply buy packs of crafting components from vendors, instead of having to upgrade endless amounts of Tier 1 and Tier 2 junk. That's the only thing I miss though, otherwise I'm having an absolute blast with Cyberpunk 2077 2.0.
How do you upgrade tier 1 weapons? They don't even show up in my crafting menu
Miss being able to craft the mods easily more
Word
@@kaisersickle154You've probably found out by now, but it's in the upgrades tab. I'm not sure if you can do tier upgrades but maybe you can once they have enough "pluses"
@@kaisersickle154you can only upgrade iconic weapons
This my first time playing since the update and I was so confused on how the crafting worked and then I wasn't able to craft a higher tier iconic weapon and I was lost. I appreciate it, dog. Really helped
one minor thing on the quickhacks - although the vendors do seem to sell some of the low level crafting specs, I got all my quickhack crafting specs from doing the breach protocol minigame (the one where you have to pick the codes in the right order). The quality seems to be tied to your cyberdeck level - once I upgraded to a tier 3 deck, I started seeing tier 3 recipes more frequently, same with tier 4 and 5. If you are going hacker build, be sure to upgrade your cyberdeck asap and hack every terminal you see.
I needed this video so much. I didn't really understand how weapons worked in regards to level and you explained it really well. I thought all iconics just stayed the same no matter what, I think. Now I understand how to get more powerful in the game. Thank you, thank you.
Clear guide to the crafting changes in 2.0. Thanks a lot, much appreciated! 😀👍
Glad it helped!
@@zKarma Is there a console code to get more mats?
@@buckfamily2533 Pretty sure you still need to install the mod to actually be able to use the console, but yes there is one. Materials aren't that expensive tho, and weapons sell for a lot more.
@@Ecliptor. Now that I'm getting further into the game I'm starting to see that the weapons sell for a lot more, but I just can't seem to get enough Mats. I wish they had a mat vendor in the game where I could purchase some.
@@buckfamily2533 If it wasn't changed, all "junk" vendors sell plenty of materials. You can also reset them by waiting 24h right outside the shop. There are junk vendors everywhere.
My issue with crafting is it's pointless outside of iconic weapons and and quick hacks. The later being the exception because quick hacks are insanely expensive at tier 5. They said they changed this stuff so we can keep the weapons we enjoy but if a T5++ shotgun drops I'm using over anything I can craft. Not being able to craft ++ weapons hurts.
Don't forget cyberware, upgrading cyberware from T1 or T2 doesn't increase the cyberware cost of them (I think).
Wait what? I disassembled all extra wepons and upgrade all my favourite wepons and clothes. Why they cut it ffs
Money isn't a problem once you're able to craft quick hacks like suicide, cyberpyschosis, grenade detenation. They sell for 25k.. I wouldn't spend a dime on upgrading cyberware until I start seeing tier 5 items. It's a waste of parts to upgrade. Since now it's a pain farming components.
Thank you sir! Everything I needed to know. Was afraid to upgrade my weapons until I maxed out in level, glad they changed this!
Very informative video mate, thank you for taking the time to do this!
Easiest way to get tier 5 components is to buy tier 5 clothing/recycle tier 5 weapons you get while fighting. I don't know when but once you hit a certain level, all clothing vendors will sell tier 5 clothing, buy the pants/hat as they're the cheapest items. Cycle through the clothing merchants, wait 24 hours and do it all again. Going into dog town and stealing cars gives quite a bit of it too if you think the first method is too boring.
Thank you for this guide. I just started playing at 2.0 and now this makes sense. Im playing a lot better now and dying less thank you!
HUGE THANKS for the vids been searching for how this worked for few days now
Thank God for the last part selling or dismantling iconic weapons . did not know that .
There should be an in-game tutorial about crafting / dismantling mechanics for newbies as this is not intuitive at all. Thank god for UA-cam videos!! Like who in his right mind would think that dismantling clothing would give "parts" (for lack of better word) for weapon crafting?
ty for the video! It's a shame that you can't tier-up non-iconics. I really hope they tweak that and let us upgrade everything in the future
I'm running a specific build around the DB-2 Satara (as the only Tech Shotgun in the game) and having to wait for a 5+/5++ drop is going to be rough
Until this video i was confused why i was only ever getting a few weapons showing up in the upgrade menu. It's really quite disappointing.
As a newbie, I thank you
Unless it's an iconic weapon, don't craft a weapon. Unless it's an iconic weapon, don't invest components in upgrading. You'll pick up guns while playing, and they'll get better as you level up. Some weapons will have mods and scopes attached, which will make them better than one unequipped. But you're going to be picking up mods and scopes all over. When you pick up an iconic weapon, start upgrading it ASAP. Because you can't buy components, you either have to pick them up or convert weapons, clothing, and junk that you find.
Almost. There is no way to upgrade non iconics. But you got it.
I was lvl 45 when i tried upgrading a weapon for the first time and i didnt even had enough components for a single one. Even after dismembering a lot of legendaries. From a dmg point speaking i dont feel like i need upgrades at all, i still use the supressed overwatch that only has like 100 base dmg, but with all the headshot multipliers it still oneshots most enemies.
Not having randomized weapon stats is good, and not having to upgrade weapons and armor every level to make them scale is also helpful.
Not being able to buy components adds a degree of difficulty, with my 1.63 level 50 characters, crafting components are their biggest expense.
Iconics are a different story now, and we will be hunting them down (some of us already did), and upgrading cyberware will be something I’m very interested in.
I like these changes
As a new player, are iconic weapons random? I thought I saw some previous videos of them being in certain locations or was that before the update
@@linkfield in location or stats?
No to both in 2.0. Location and opportunity has always been set, often locked behind a crafting requirement that is much easier now. Some of the locations are mission specific, so you have to get them in that mission, or buy them from the Black Market Dealer in Dogtown.
All weapons stats are set now, iconic weapons will likely be better than average, and can be upgraded.
Hope that helps.
Quickhack blueprints and hacks themselves drop a lot from hacking terminals. Second code in the terminal gives components, third code gives a hack or blueprint (+some hack components). There is no real reason to visit hack vendors. Duplicates are also strong source of income. Netrunner enemy NPCs can also drop them.
yeah im aware, I was just briefly mentioning quick hacks. I will be talking about quickhacks more when i cover the intelligence tree.
Thanks I think I will give the new crafting system a miss, I much preferd the old style crafting system. 👍
Thank you so much! Straight to the point and clear, no bs!
The biggest problem I’m having now is with the lack of modularity with Legendary sniper rifles, and the scopes they give you default in the game are ridiculously bad. And the glare in the scopes, especially with the overwatch sniper rifle is so ridiculous, it becomes unusable, and you can’t shoot through walls or containers, while the AI once it has targeted you can shoot through walls and containers!😂 So I reduced the crazy glare levels somewhat with using Reshade to dial down the bloom effects, and I installed a scope mod that allows for better zoom in sniper scopes, but it doesn’t fix the scope problem on Legendary weapons where you can’t swap out the scope or change mods, like the Overwatch, and the Breakthrough, which are the two best rifles in the game. All of these problems become glaringly obvious during your raid of Arasaka Industrial in the Gimme Danger Takemura mission. Here sniping is critical and all of these flaws become glaringly obvious.
I purchased Cyberpunk a couple of years ago for my Xbox One X, i just started playing it 2 weeks ago and im loving it so much that im going to get the Xbox Series X next week just to get the knew content.
Just started playing for the first time. Freaking love this game! But yeah, i was completely lost on crafting and upgrading. Thanks so much for the help!
Thanks brother, super clear! Cheers.
I was just considering selling my tier 1 iconic weapons until I saw this video 😅. Thanks for the info 👍
A few other details... Dropped 'broken' weapons are automatically converted to Tier 1 components...one per weapon. Clothing items give you one component of the same Tier. Disassembled working weapons give you multiple components of the same Tier. You need a lot of components to upgrade both Iconic weapons and cyberware, so start collecting them early and spend them carefully. You can craft lower Tier components higher...usually 5 for 1 higher. Weapons you pick up will often have mods you don't want attached...crafted weapons will always have empty mod slots...so will weapons you buy in shops. Weapon mods can be upgraded 2 for 1 of a higher Tier. Mods can't be removed from weapons, so be careful what you install. It's a waste to install a lower Tier mod on a higher Tier weapon you want to keep...better to leave it unmodded until you find, buy or craft a higher Tier mod IMO. Finally, sometimes it makes more sense to buy higher Tier cyberware than to spend crafting components upgrading. Collecting and upgrading needs to start early and be deployed judiciously to get the most out of it.
I'm loving this new way of playing tbh, and well, thanks for explaining it all this nicely ^w^
8:15 Thanks! Exactly what I wanted to know!
addition to getting specs/blueprints, do a lot or all jackins/hacks you can do where you hack with hexadecimal matrix, now when you do the highest tier reward, you get specs for guns, hacks, etc.
Cheers dude, you helped me out a lot 👍
Thank you sm man, I was literally abt to quit the game after 20 hours bc it felt extremely shallow, but it turns out I just was missing out on a ton of info. They need way better tutorials.
Thank You!
You're welcome!
Thank you! This was so helpful and informative as I am returning to the game for the first time in 3 years, since 1.0 launch. So much has changed and this helped me to understand how they've overhauled the system. Appreciate it and keep up the good work! Also, is it just me or did the original 1.0 game seem to have a LOT more loot? The game seems very thin on loot now. Maybe because stats and everything are fixed and more streamlined.
I love that game, 2nd play after PL, I have so much fun- great vid
pre 2.0 was confusing af but was fun to compare weapons with different stats. but the new system definitely makes more sense now
Just started playing the game never played before definitely a very involved game lots of little things that you have to figure out along the way looks like a fun game
Bro I love u so much, I was sad 'cause I thank that I'll never get my errata at tier 5, but now I know that they changed it, now u need to upgrade it to be a higher tier
Thankyou, this game had me very confused until now I really appreciate it❤
Glad I could help!
Nice video, thanks! I wonder what is the point to craft weapons in first place if you can get just the base tier. Not to mention blueprints are very expensive, this make no sense to me.
OK, so with the Kongou for example, I just started playing 2.1 for the first time and picked it up at green tier (tier 2 I think). All I need to do now is just straight upgrade it until it's tier 5++ for the highest stats it can have? And I DON'T need to invest in that one perk/skill anymore for that capability?
Haven't paid major attention to the changes that 2.0, PL, and 2.1 brought.
Thanks for the video!
So many thanks. I subscribed.
Thanks for this great video!!
I swear the previous update allowed you to craft Iconic weapons & equipment if you sold or dismantled them.
They let you craft the ones that were craftable in the first place. Most of them were crafting specs found at ncpd events. But the ones that you found a physical weapon of, no. Those were gone for good
Thanks for the info dude
Thank you so much for this clear and detailed explanation!
I'm so glad for these changes! The previous system was so damn complicatet and unnecessary!
And yeah btw. you have you earned a new sub here ;)
Thank you & Glad it was useful
Really well done video
This simplifies it. Thank you. Just want to ask though, where do you get that iconic DB-2 Satara?
Awesome job 👍🏽
Could u make a video on how cyberware works now saw it’s completely redone
@0:31 Holy shit... Already, with the Ashura displayed here... Base, that used to cost something like 50 basic, 25 uncommon, 10 legendary (those are likely incorrect numbers, but good enough for the subject matter) to build. According to this screengrab, it now only costs 30 legendary to make?!?!? That's freakin excellent.
Better example, Lizzie (legendary pistol) costed 19 uncommon, 34 rare, 44 epic, and 1 legendary... If they've streamlined Crafting to that extent... Man that is going to make things soooooo much nicer.
I used to have a STRONG legendary Overture modded out but now post patch it’s gone😤😭 I miss the old mod system
Thanks man!
Beginner here: I find this way better, having the dps depending on the tier level
Crafting should add a random stat or extra mod slot. Why go through so much grind if i can buy it or pick it from the floor
I have cyberpunk on the ps4 and ps5 and I like the ps4 version better because it’s easy to get components
Awesome info.
Great info
very helpful thx
Its been a long time sense I played, when I got on my older save file everything was reset and whole system changed. I was so confused I restarted the game I have been waiting to upgrade my Lizzy being afraid by end game would be no good.... THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!!!
Thanks g ✌🏾
Already completed main story with most side missions before 2.0 update released but before 2.0 update never watched this much cyberpunk 2077 suggestion videos that I am doing now, it's fking weird how much they have changed stuffs, completely looks like a different game, so without watching you tube videos not many can survive in hard difficulty head to head combat after 2.0 update😌😌😌 (stealth, quickhacks won't be a problem though)
Thank you
Very helpful. Was so close to beating it before the update came a week early before phantom liberty. It really threw me off
Thanks ❤
The changes are so drastic I wouldn't recommend anyone update in the middle of a 1.6 playthrough.
Some stuff like not being able to upgrade non-iconic weapons and not being able to use higher tier attachments with lower tier weapons is just too senseless, what the actual heck were they thinking.
thanks man
This new loot system is SO MUCH BETTER! I hated the previous loot system where looted weapons constantly leveled to the player like in Witcher 3 so that you're constantly swapping out weapons and can't invest in any loadouts properly. I hope this is the direction they continue to go in going forward in the future Witcher games! Although if I'm understanding correctly you can still find the same weapon as various different tiers? I'd prefer if certain weapons were only ever of one specific tier. It just makes more sense from a lore perspective that some guns should naturally always be better than others.
I wish they didn’t change the modifications on the iconic weapons you can’t even add anything anymore that’s the only problem I got
I miss being able to upgrade. Now I can only upgrade iconic weapons. Most of which don't have mod slots. Well at least for me in my play through
The more I learn about the changes the more I hate them. This made crafting completely pointless outside. I loved crafting before. Upgrading shit and trying to get new blueprints. Same goes for clothing. Real shame.
I’m a completely new player to the game. Bought it at launch of ps4 and well we all know how that went. After 3 years I finally have a ps5 and the timing could not be more perfect. As a new player this was very helpful so thank you!
1 question though… so “legendary” is no longer a thing as that was a pre 2.0 concept? Basically it’s the tier system to 5++ and only iconic?
Only iconics can be upgraded to highest tier. Non-iconics need to be looted to get the highest tier (5++)
@@zKarma looted or crafted, correct? And you can only loot or get lucky with a vendor to buy the crafting “recipe”? (can’t think of the right word at the moment lol)
Huge W
I was obssesed with crafting at 1.5 got my gun stats upgraded to oblivion. I have absolutely no clue how do I spec now when crafting is dead.
so they disconnected the gear from the level, thank god i used to afraid to use legendary uniqe weapons at early levels cause they will be stack at that level scale for the entire game
I can't seem to find an answer to how to craft higher tier items. These questions are for Crafting, not Upgrading. Specifically:
1. Once I get a crafting spec for a item, does that spec cover all tiers of that item? Or is there a Tier 3 spec for it on a vendor(s), and then somewhere else in the world there's a crafting spec for Tier 4, etc.?
2. Before 2.0 your ability to craft higher tiers ("rarities") was purely based on your Crafting skill. What's it based on now? Is it Street Cred, i.e. at 40 Street Cred I can begin crafting Tier 4 items, but Street Cred 39 or below only lets me craft up to Tier 3. Is that how it works?
1. Vendors. But they will only sell you crafting specs based on your level. If you want to collect every tier of crafting spec, gotta visit regularly as you level up.
2. No. There is no requirement for anything anymore. If you have the crafting materials, you can craft any tier at any point in the game. But the game is design to drop certain tier items at certain level ranges. Don't expect to start a new game and craft a Tier 5 without mods.
Hey guys, have you heard the weapon stats aren’t tied to your level anymore 😉
soo CDPR just "fuck all" with crafting clothing and all pre-order content that first buyers got. Nice to see they still screwing people over.
I decide to fully start over, because all my cyberware got change and all my equipment stat goes to trash.
no wonder the enemy got harder to kill lol.
There are iconic variants of regular weapons that just let you upgrade them like iconics and to be modded. Not sure if there is one for every weapon but I've found a few so far.
Yeah most weapons are iconics of normal guns. The kongou you saw there is a Liberty
@@zKarma Well yes but what I'm saying is that they are iconics without any special traits or rather their special trait is to be upgradeable like an iconic and have open mod slots. An example is winning the shooting challenge Wilson hosts will get you an iconic version of the Lexington that is the same as the base pistol save you can upgrade it like an iconic.
I wanted to jump back into the game, but seems like they did away with all the fun aspects.. great video by the way..
So do weapons not scale with you as you level up? Because I like the iconic blade I’m using but I fear it’ll grow behind on stats later
If you pick it up it scales to your current level with a tier. Iconic weapons are also upgradeable, but not moddable. You can bring them all the way to t5++
Nah it will be fine. Just make sure u upgrade the tier as you progress. A
dude i noticed you had a red net runner suit, were did you find that, i have been looking for it
I have the physical disk version of game, put it down for quite a while and just this past week have come back to this game. And tbh a bit confused now bc I just crafted a higher rarity (you heard right) of the cotton mouth melee weapon and the lower rarity (blue) dissapears from item menu. The only one there is the epic (green) version. Ok so I find this video while trying to figure out whats going on and hear you talking about "Tiers" I don't have that option. Yet I seem to have much of the other things update 2.0 has given us. Game says I'm fully updated. You think this is a bug? Kinda not wanting to attempt fixing this or updating since apparently I won't be able to buy components or craft mods (I still can)
I came looking to find out how to get the components I need to upgrade my pistol, but there was nothing here about that in this "everything I need to know" video.
Dismantling guns and clothing or buying at shops.
Great explanation. Maybe a dumb question but if I dissemble a weapon, does it automatically put any mods in my backpack/stash or does that get destroyed too. Just trying to see if I need to take the extra steps to remove any mods first. I get going fairly quickly on dissembling weapons after a battle that I forget to look to see if they have handy mods.
They get destroyed fam. You only get to keep the iconic mods
Somehow made crafting and upgrading more of a grind
Now think upgrade change some stats if you have the perk but only for melee weapons
Can you no longer upgrade weapons for free like before? I remember having the perk that gave me a percentage chance.
I didnt even pay attention that crafting was in the game.
Is it actually worth it to upgrade any skills around crafting. Outside that I have a close range sword build with shotguns and lmgs
Great and easy to follow video !
you forgot to mention that you can craft higher tier components from lower tier ones.
true true. Just went over my head since its been a thing way before this update. Keep forgetting tiny details for new players. I had three different versions of this video lol. Even then i forgot something small like that.
@@zKarma oh, here I thought it was something new from 2.0. wish I knew it back in my first playthrough.
They finally overhauled everything to fit GenZ no brainer gamers…everything is there u just need to upgrade it.
What I don't understand is, if you find the crafting specs at the start of the game, so its like green or blue quality, does it evolve with you to tier five as you level up or you are stuck with the noob version therefore you should wait before looting it?
How do you unlock tier 5 crafting? I got the breakthrough spec but i can only craft items up to tier 3 how do you unlock tier 4 and 5?
U have to do the ncpd missions. It's the most efficient way I found so far to farm crafting blueprints. Legendary will drop there too. 😁
There seems to be a gate based on level: I couldn't craft any T5 until I hit level 30.
Nice my Dying Night stayed at tier 1++ and wont go any further, along with Genjiroh, Apparition & Byakko. FUCK.
Yorinobu's house. lmao
So from what I understand, correct me if I am wrong: In 2.0, all weapon stats are static with respect to their tiers, "weapon tier" scales with character levels at the time you loot them. Then what's the point of crafting non-iconic weapons if crafting always produces the same tier version of that weapon. Instead, you can loot higher-tier non-iconic weapons at a higher level....
Also this means that you should always level up your iconic weapons the moment you are able to, because the stats increase are going to be the same regardless of your level.
I'm new to cyberpunk 2077 from witcher 3, if what i understand is correct, this is a much hassle-free implementation of weapon scaling.. no more waiting to upgrade and worrying about stats!!
Yeah basically. You'll find iconics at a certain tier depending on what ur level is at the time. You'll notice that as you level up, weapons u find will have higher tiers. And I agree, crafting is pointless now. Just focus on upgrading your iconics as you go, loot tier+ non-iconics, and try to find some with mods. You got it. I played witcher 3 not too long ago. I loved that game. Wish i played it when it first came out
Groundloot non iconic can vary in stats. Only crafted ones have static stats.
@@mejokin are you sure? Do you have any example of groudloot non-iconic with the SAME tier having different stats? For me, every groundloot non-iconic with the same tier has the same stats. Make sure to double check their tier!! ( "tier 1 +" is an upgrade to "tier 1")
@@frederickthethird5302 I'll double check it for sure! I think it has something to do with the weapon mod slots. I found an Kang Tao t4 with one slot and the same weapon with 2 slots. The 2 slot weapon had lower dmg then the one slot weapon. Maybe they balance weapons like this but I'll make sure to check on the tiers again.
@@frederickthethird5302 U were right it was t4 and t4+ my bad. Apologies for that! 😅🙏🏼
