    Hey Ziv, I wanted to highlight something very quickly.
    You know in recent events what has happened and how you handled this is just such a tactful way of doing what you do.
    You have always had a very balanced approach and this is why I watch your videos like a hawk (not always able to get through in one viewing as there is a ton of info).
    I bought the Polyend SEQ based on your breakdown, there was nothing like it when it was released, still nothing like it today.
    So your influence remains something that speaks volumes and people do listen with keen ears.
    The way you handled the whole fiasco was a pleasure to read, the decorum was one of the upmost professionalism and could only be seen with admiration.
    This is why your channel is so successful, you have an uncanny way of presenting things, even when they're negative, with a positive light.
    That cool calm and collected voice of yours, gives reason when what happened, was handled the way you did, even leaving an open invitation in the end.
    I can only say thank you for doing what you did, you have many supporters and probably gaining more from your ability to handle this with panache`.
    Kudos.

    I have Uno Synth Pro (desktop)... I love sound of the morphing oscillators and filters on this device, access to all option is quite easy already in older version so the added knobs are not necessarilysomething that can convince me to upgrading.
    What I like:
    - powering it through dedicated power supply is definitely better for level of noise
    - additional "Link" function for filters
    - there is also something described as "Tracking" - it also not exist in the previous version of synth
    - I think I don't have "Loop" function on Env in the older Uno Synth Pro
    - there is also added "Bassline" which is also something new
    - I like you can modify 3 oscillators at the same time.
    - third envelope
    What I don't like:
    - buttons for sequencer are much bigger than buttons for "keyboard"
    - "keyboard" is very limited and the range of keys is smaller than in the previous version of synth
    - overall the access is much faster to many options (because of multiple buttons/knobs) but I have strange feeling that the older version was more logical designed and easier to learn
    - there is no "modwheel" or "pitchweel" in the newer version

    Definitely the media blitz is on for this - good luck to them. At the price (as mentioned) Minifreak, Deepmind 6, and Hydrasynth Explorer are all just $100 more if buying new. The superb less mentioned SE-02 is $50 less and there are many choices quite a bit less is patch storage and onboard effects are not needed/wanted.

      @@patsalty it and this are both too small in general for my personal taste. Roland called the shots on those aspects once SE provided the voice architecture so there were always going to be too many corners cut. Dumb. While it is recognized by more than a few for how good it is imagine if they had also offered a full size with a quality 4 octave keybed, the EXT Box features built in, and a full set of CV I/O on the right like the desktop Moogs. For around $1k they would not have been able to make enough of them with the 2016 "real deal" ending that limited run around then.

    of course i bought an uno synth pro b-stock for a great price from IK 3-4 months ago, make my first ever short using it last night, and then the following morning this gets released LOL. before i bought the keyboard version, i saw various reviews from different people at different points in time saying the OG is a better deal than comparable synths by Sequential and Moog, especially considering price point... so i thought i'd give it a shot and i definitely have no regrets. i love that they did address some of the biggest issues of the OG since programming felt so finicky and cumbersome without plugging it into a PC/Mac. so this is definitely on my wishlist. thx for the ever informative reviews!

      I got a b-stock too, but mine died after a month and since I got it on reverb, ik multimedia would not replace or fix it. I was out the price I paid. Not cool of them. I understand what your saying about your DFam review, the sound on the new Behringers have a lot fuller and darker fee. Also the frequencies are fuller on the Crave as an example (I purchased the Crave because of this exact factor,)
      But my all time favorite comparison side by side review with sound wave comparisons hands down has to be the Mother vs CRAVE.
      It actually made me purchase the Crave because it performed way better for what I do; special effects and theme music for movies

      So after reading all this I contacted Behringer and told them I was producing my first album as a professional audio visual producer. I mentioned that I wanted to showcase the Crave and loved it. They were very supportive of my endeavor and facilitated anything I needed.
      I had to share my experience with the world with proof attached is my first LP. A huge check off from my Bucket list, a huge accomplishment for the 3 months total it took. My expertise is Video Production, please let that sink in. I play for the guitar yes the bass yes since the age of 15.
      I honestlyn never understood these comments about a company not being friendly or cool. Didn't know people saw products or companies as such, maybe I did sorry, but never stopped to smell those roses at all. I prefer performance in my Pro equipment and yes there's brand preferences, but letting external personal feelings get in The way of expression, and clear creative thinking isn't constructive in my eyes either. So I had to test the waters myself.
      This is a gift to the world.

      In my books they treated my dream, as their own. And that's gold. Especially if I had to spend what the original Crave inspired brand cost. Point blank is: in my experience, my creative manifestation would have been out of my enthusiastic hobbys reach. Now if I were an audio engineer I may have the MOOG just because of Pink Floyd lol a huge inspiration in my life and album as well as Nicolas Jaar. Envelope pushing artists, who empty their feelings into music. Making these vibrational fills a healing process of love and nurture.

    As a big fan of the IK Multimedia's Uno Synth Pro sound and duo-filter config, this is encouraging to see...at least until I saw they won't do an X full-sized keys version. Would be curious if they fixed/updated the envelope behavior where filter envelope values are carried over to the next key press/envelope retrigger (like traditional analog mono synths), instead of 1) digitally resetting with every key press or 2) only triggering once with legato playing. That very digital behavior was really my biggest complaint about the previous version of the synth. Regardless, glad to see they're addressing some of the shortcomings other folks had. Have to admit, though I didn't mind the previous matrix SO much, I would prefer knobs.

      @loopop That kinda defeats the purpose if I want to minimize a desktop setup and want to control more machines more swiftly and efficient and at the same time. Already using a keyboard and its sequencer for other instances. I would constantly have to switch its midi channel.
      And to buy a very premium midi keyboard that's able to split keyboard with midi channels, would mean this synth only gets even more expensive.
      A machine needs to have decent controls on its own though. Workarounds shouldn't be.

    100 more expensive? Yes, with the Fatar keyboard version of the Pro. At Thomann in Germany the Pro desktop sells for 277 and the new X for 589. That's double the price!

    • @xfghffhfg
      @xfghffhfg Рік тому

      No, the desktop version was sold for 399$ when it shipped.
      It's been almost 3 years since it first shipped, I don't know if you noticed but everything since then is much more expensive (New products)
      Also, 30 knobs instead of 8, much more buttons and 2 more effects processors has its price...

    • @GertBoers
      @GertBoers Рік тому +1

      @@xfghffhfg I am talking about current prices. And because of Germany, in Euro. Current price for the desktop is € 277, not $ 399.
      And I know it's more hands-on and therefor more user friendly, but that is not my point. Point was the mentioning that it's $ 100 more expensive than the Uno Pro desktop, which at this moment, is not true. It's € 312 more expensive and whatever current exchange rate you throw at it, that wil always be more than 'only' $ 100.
      If it was only $ 100 more expensive, it would be absolutely worth it, as you say, it has much more hardware components and is way more hands-on.

    • @xfghffhfg
      @xfghffhfg Рік тому +1

      @@GertBoers You wrote "That's double the price!", I understand that you meant it's not priced right so i point out why the price differs. If you just wanted to mention the price differences with no resentment to the IK set price, yes, it's double now, or triple from the first one :)

      Nothing changed, some bugs are part of any digitally controlled/complex synths but now somebody is pointing them out. I still have some 90's synths with bugs that will probably never resolv and if they do, it will be by reverse engineering and changing chips, not a simple firmware update. Many companies add features and requested features by users along the years and breathe new spirit into old instruments.
