Over in Boston, Dr. Larry Benowitz with Boston Children's Hospital has dedicated his professional life to figuring out how to regenerate connections in the optic nerve. He talked with Adam Chodak about his own research and its progress along with other avenues being explored in order to restore eyesight.

Yeah, I was originally diagnosed with MS (optic neuritis attacks on left eye), fast forward 11 years later, I had recurring optic neuritis attacks on both eyes! Still no improvement one my left eye, 90% blind

They are getting great results in Germany with Electronic Eye Stimulation. The results are amazing but I don't hear anything about it in US. More money in studying a problem than fixing the problem.
