Muslims are a minority in the uk, it is unlikely that the parties are going to have new laws specifically for muslims when the majority us white Christian. Voting right now will allow less of two evils, labour is scrapping tution fees which would remove the problem of riba debt for young muslims taking out student loans. There are many things that labour will do like reduce foreign intervention in other countries, improve nhs funding improve school funding. If muslims show support for certain principles then parties are going to start showing these principles in their manifesto to attract the vote of the muslims, bettering our lives.

Democracy is a taghouti and a kufr system, a judgment of jahiliyah as mentioned by Sheikh Muqbil, since it takes the attribute of Allah (ie the Al Hakam, Al Hakeem and Al Adal), so the one who votes is falling into shirk and kufr, but there might be a preventation of takfeer like ignorance and false ta'weel

well actually there are two different opinions on how Abu Bakr (ra) was given the khilafa, but you're right one of them is similar to voting at that it was a group of sahaba who agreed which isn't really that much like democracy but more ikhtilaf
So, does this mean that we should not obey the laws our country we live in? Because we live in democratic countries, does this mean the laws made from democratic countries are haram because they are not the laws from Allah? Please clarify
Excellent question... now there is a world of a difference between participating in a process that contributes to CREATING law, and then abiding by law that has already been created... the first is not allowed where the second can take place.. the evidence for this is the treaty of Hudaybiyyah in which the Prophet SAAS agreed to the conditions of that treaty that were conjured up by men, he didn't create any condition he was compelled to abide by it... so we as Muslims in the UK have a covenant that we will not create, chaos, or harm, or threaten anyone's security or create any mischief in the land... the law has been made and it has compelled us to be in accordance to it, this is fine as long as we do not participate in the creation of this law and provided the law that we are compelled to abide by doesn't disable us from practicing our religion... if the latter happens we do not fall into anarchy or violence... because we are still under a covenant of peace and security with the citizens of the land... rather what we do is we just relocate to another part of the world in which we can practice our religion in peace just as the Prophet SAAS did when he moved from Makkah to Medinah... hope that clarifies your question my sister

Salaam all. What the brothers have said are 100% true. we shouldn't vote for democracy but we should be voting for the lesser of evils! Tories and UKIP have similar stance on Islam. Not saying the other parties don't but they are not the same extreme levels as the other 2. all I'm saying is vote so Tories are no longer in power. this is our country too. we live here ànd we do live by the law of the country so wouldn't that be haram too? we would like to practice Islam freely. with Tories in power it won't be that easy. so vote to rid Tories of power. - this was from a khutbah.

I'm just really confused because so many people are saying so many different things...btw I'm 16 not allowed to vote and not going to hopefully inshallah
The only thing people have to use against you guys is that you are young. it's sad really how thats the only argument that can be made against you. When you guys are coming with quran, hadith, and words of scholars, no one dares say anything to criticize those sources. They try to critisize you guys who are simply mediating from the sources to the people. But my brother Imran, the snapchat filter at 1:05... Someone advised me not to do it as it is a distortion of the face. I myself don't know what the scholars have to say about it and I haven't given this issue the time it deserves but perhaps you can look into it if you haven't all ready

Actually it's pretty confusing, if one of the party will bring harm to the muslims and the other wont, then Islam permits the believers to vote for the one better for them.
