I kinda explained my reason why he's not on here and Velkhana is in a few comments below but as I said in the video, there are no bad elder dragons :) If I wanted to be boring, there would be no elder dragons on the list :)
@@spottablegaming425 nah I get your reasoning but I would say Kushala is a tad more annoying but his armor is definitely worse. But he does have a better general design
@@nightrain1121 that makes no sense, velkhana’s fight sucks because she can shoot through her ice walls which makes no sense at all. She’s not a difficult fight at all but she’s also not very entertaining. Nergigante is a very easy fight, but is a very entertaining fight.
Kushala's armor is pretty damn useful in rise and generations. Also fighting it in an arena is superior because of siege abuse its more fun there. Also rise brought back its poison weakness and flaming espinas in so it gets bodied. Poison makes it take even longer to rise when its risen too. Its ice weapons are also always a good option against teostra.
I didn't want a ton of low ranking on the list. That wouldn't be fun. All the raptors are pretty much the same (so no point in specifically naming one), out of all the sub and variant species, Azure rathalos is just blue and flies more. Emerald congalala has a different look (although slightly) and doesn't usually have the smaller fellas around him. Not usualyy I can still happen. Plum hermitaur at least looks decently different that the original with the diablos shell. I also like the idea of see different skulls on the crabs :)
frost craft is niche even on those 5 weapons because who would want to sheath there weapon every time they want to do peak damage? It could just be me though
Concerning Velkhana: Nevermind that there are far worse Elder Dragons, including Lunastra, Kushala (World), and Chameleos. It's fine if it's your least favorite, but to claim Frostcraft is "niche" is factually incorrect (at least in the case of World). FC is top tier damage for GS, DB, SnS, LS, and IG. 5 out of 14 weapons getting premium damage from an ability pushes that ability way out of "niche" territory. Maybe it's different in Rise, but in World, ATV armor is a perfectly reasonable alternative to Fatalis for the afore mentioned weapons.
Chameleos is GOATED. Good easy fight, awesome looking armor/weapons, and he's just a silly guy :) That's still less than half the weapons tho. It would be different if it was a skill specific to those weapons, but it isn't. EVERY weapon can use it but using your example, it's still less than half the weapons. It's not a skill you can just kinda throw in there. It's significantly better for different weapons and harder to implement with others. Not impossible but just takes more effort which leaves you with less room to put other skills you want. That makes it niche and that fine. I like the skill but it's practically worthless as a gunner. P.S I do use the skill for a sniping heavy bowgun build and it's so fun that I even have a video talking all about it!
@@spottablegaming425 35% of the weapons in the game is not niche, especially considering those 5 weapons by themselves garnered around 50% of the playerbase to pick them as their favorites in worldborne,

@@BobThePenguin. Yeah true buuuuut not everyone even uses frostcraft. It's not used like sharpness, handicraft, critical boost, attack boost, ect. there is a TON of skills you'd want before frostcraft. It could be different now but okay let's say not "niche" definitely undervalued since it's not on EVERY build and for EVERY weapon.
Bruhhh hating on velkhana and not kushala is crazy. Kushala is worse in every way design, the fight, armor/weapon design. Kushala is really boring in every way.
Kushala armor skills is overall better (in a general sense), the monster has been in the game since MH 2, he's kinda basic but they don't make him seem more powerful than he actually is, 100% his weapon designs are better (the different animal design for each weapon it LIT), and in RISE/SUNBREAK his fight is actually pretty decent (his world fight is ass tho ngl) Fun fact, Kushala was going to be in the 5th spot until I really broke it down and looked at everything. As I said in the video, there are no bad elder dragons :)
@spottablegaming425 true pretty much every elder has something to like about them. Personally I just find most of kushala really boring and Velkhana's fight get really fun when u learn it (at least for me).
Velkhana was so ass they literally just went and reused its tail gimmick for another flagship elder dragon in the literal next game. And they didn't even bother changing its theme song in the next TWO games it appeared in, didn't even mix in the AT theme or anything. What a useless bum of a flagship. The problem with Azure continously returning is that back in the old generations really is that they only tweaked the subspecies a bit for distinction, unlike the past few generations where there was very clear and distinct differences. Diablos and Rathalos/Rathian all could benefit from their subspecies having clear distinctions other than color and fight pattern. (Ice rathian/Thunder Rathalos would be cool concepts)
idk what it is but this and your other vids just keep making me laugh. can’t wait to be notified for future vids, keep it up man :) *also velkhana was a nightmare for me lol*
I’ve been meaning to make a top ten Monster Hunter monsters video, favorite, least favorite, for elder dragon, regular, subspecies, and deviants. I won’t say much incase those videos do come out but I will say my opinion about each monster on here. Velkhana: I know a lot of people hate her, and for good reason. But personally, I do like her a good amount, not a top 10, but I enjoyed the fight. And while Velkhana wasn’t portrayed well in cutscenes, she had enough screen time to be well built up. Azure Rathalos: Personally one I am slightly disappointed in too. I think they could have done better. I don’t hate it but it’s not a great subspecies. Cephadrome: Hate it, always will hate it and will never stop. Blangonga: Similarly to the Cephadrome, hate it. Crystal beard: This is a hot take… Crystal Beard is my second favorite deviant. Mostly because I like Uragaan a good amount, and changing less of the monster was what made it good, because deviants who changed too much just… was a train wreck. They added more explosive rocks to its attacks and its slightly better with its rolling attacks. I think these small changes make Crystal Beard an Uragaan that is more intense of a fight, and tbh that’s good for me. It did much better than Steel Uragaan.
My opinion of the monsters listed in your video. Velkhana: I do like Velkhana very much but I feel like Capcom didn’t give Velkhana that much importance heck why did they make Velkhana attack a gate instead of flying I mean Velkhana literally is a Elder Dragon which is the most smartest species in the world (atleast most Elder Dragons because apparently there are dumb Elder Dragons). Velkhana literally is very intelligent considering it can make itself a ice armor, make ice walls and uses them as a shield (seeing when the Huntsman tries to slash Velkhana), and it definitely recognizes our main character whenever it saw us in the final round against it. Also I feel like Velkhana doesn’t do that much flagship like importance because most of the time it just appears and then went away that’s it, overall I like Velkhana but I wish Capcom did Velkhana way more better and not just make it look like a dumb animal even though it is one of if not the most smartest Elder Dragon species. Azure Rathalos: I feel like Azure is not bad for me but I just wish Capcom make Azure a more reckless type, what I mean by this you may ask? Well apparently the lore of Monster Hunter Universe states Azure is a more reckless type then a normal Rathalos so that would mean Azure would do something reckless like maybe using more reckless attacks more often yet we did not see this in game and I just wish Capcom makes Azure do something thats like a reckless quality similar to Tigrex and I also wish Azure has attacks where it just uses very recklessly to the point it makes itself vulnerable maybe then it will make it more unique and more better overall and not just there is a UA-camr make a video about Azure and how to make it better in game and apparently they say make Azure do a spinning in the air attack like that of Rodan from the Monsterverse to attempt to hit you but then it makes it self feel dizzy and fall on the ground and gives you a opening to attack and genuinely like that idea because it makes it more unique and it really shows Azure’s reckless nature. Cephadrome: I didn’t fight this monster because I only have Iceborne and Sunbreak but after seeing it through UA-cam and all I went bruh because of just how lazy it is. I feel like Capcom could’ve done better by make it do something more unique then just moving around like a A.I attempt to hit (I know people are confused by this so let me explain you know how every monsters have their own unique game attacks and all, well for Cephadrome it has nothing unique which is just bruh and everytime I think about Cephadrome all I remember from seeing this creature is that it spins a lot to attack and it seems to have the laziest attacks ever). Maybe if Capcom just went more through with designing Cephadrome then maybe it could’ve being much more better but sadly we did not. Blangonga: I do like an ice bamboo with saber teeth part but I feel like Blangonga is not really that lore accurate, for starters Blangonga didn’t even call its minions in the way it should’ve done because in lore Blangonga are very tactical and are one of if not the most amazing leaders of Monster Hunter because they are very social in nature but in game I feel like they didn’t do anything that’s based on well intelligence you could say and they just feel like Rajang more often just weaker and does ice, overall I don’t see it as bad but I just wish Capcom makes Blangonga more leader and more intelligent like creature then we have in game hopefully by Wilds they make it have a more leadership role in gameplay if it returns. Bulldrome: Probably even more lazy then Cephadrome. Lavasioth: I don’t understand why they make Lavasioth had a magma hardening in World, I mean I get it you can’t return leviathans for some reason but that is not excuse to give Lavasioth armor hardening like Agnaktor. If Capcom decides to bring Lavasioth back I hope they make it more unique and just generally don’t do something that is like Agnaktor or any other monsters because let’s be real if Lavasioth was done more right and does something more unique and not just it doing the same thing like the other monsters then it would be no doubt that it would not be one the most hated monsters. Lao-Shan Lung: Literally does nothing but roar and keep going forward which is just bruh… Paolumu: I have nothing to say about Paolumu but say that it is *ADORABLE!* Crystalbeard Uragaan: I feel like Crystalbeard could’ve being a lot more better if it has unique mechanics instead of it just being normal Uragaan.
Thats the most Random list i've ever seen. Plesioth, Green Plesioth, Nightshade Paolumo (for Melee), Gypceros, Kushala (espacially World) are all worse than these. (Except Cephadrome)
Okay, I’m not hating or just throwing a fit I’m just saying the main reason Lao Shen Lung moved or wasn’t really tryna fight in the game was primarily was cause he was tryna get away from Fatalis so we basically hunted him for just tryna escape is all for clarity just so you know 👍🏾
Yup I knew that. That's why he's not ACTUALLY on the list and is just a mention. Even if it's cool from a lore and story perspective, it's still not a fun hunt :)
fun fact about deviant armor sets you can make mixed sets of them if you are a blademaster, pop on gunner hat, remove chestpiece and bam still got the set bonus with the right charm and chestpiece you should be able to get a skill you want Unfortunately crystalbeard's armor is only useful for charm running which if you find it relaxing good on you but the brachy charm farm exists so its inefficient. you are better of mixing dreadking(damage cough silverlos chest) or dreadqueen(pretty good support set)
14:20 Navirou Jumpscare Other than Velkhana, which I enjoy but also wished did more, I feel like she could have taken Ruiner’s spot at the end of the DLC (Maybe fly over the gate, because wings). I like this list, I just started GU and started G-Rank. I unlocked Crystalbeard… I don’t know if I should fight it.
16:39 Get a friend thats blademaster, have him use his ammo pouch for you. Now you have more ammo. this is probably most useful on ahtal ka's mech where you got time to give them the ammo Or lao shan lung.
Crystal beards skills are ass too, looked it up while you were ranting. Its just Charm Chaser, Negate Hunger, and the Good Luck skills. Literally just increasing rewards or getting more charms
Rise fixed Kushala’s fight to the point I love fighting it, Velkhana…I despise it either way a passion!! It’s not difficult I fought enough to know what it can do, unfortunately what it can do is annoy you with its bullshit zoning tactics!!
Blangonga is a real one, He trains you for Rajang, he's a Artic Monkey, in 2nd Gen his Variant ls is Meta, his Armour design is cool, overall i am a bit biased bc i just like his design, his roar and any opinion is valid anyway i hate Velkhana too don't get the hype about her
this is all wrong because the real list goes: 5. lunastra 4. lunastra 3. lunastra 2. lunastra 1. lunastra yeah you thought i'd slip someone else in if there's only one lunastra hater in the earth, it's me. if there are no lunastra haters on earth, i am dead *i fucking hate lunastra*
Dance with velkhana is one of the greates experiences especialinwith at velkhana her gracefull millitary theme is insanely good my top 2 dragon with white fatalis beeing top 1
Velkhana is probably the most benign picks of yours. Nothing about the amazingly choreographed and designed fight. Just some arbitrary shit that nobody with reproductive organs actually cares about. "It loses to Nergiganteeee" "It’s generic" But it’s not? Even under the armour, its detail is still fairly distinguished compared its contemporaries (Kushala, Alatreon who share the same skeleton). It’s designed to be muted; it's meant to contrast between the regal looking armour and the frail underside. And you also fail to acknowledge the literal rapier tail, but that would require you to actually talk about its moveset which you would have to concede is a very strong point in its favour. And again, you don’t acknowledge the whimsically beautiful soundtrack between both its regular and Arch Tempered iterations. You’re on thin ice buddy 🫵🙂↕️
Ahhhh I see what you did there :) This video isn't a positive one where I talk about all the good things about the monster, I'm sure you noticed. Although the more down the list, the less good there is to say. As I said before, there are no bad elder dragons. Velkhana could be so amazing but in the end, it falls short compared to A LOT of other elder dragons. However, I LOVE when people tell me their reasons for liking a monster!! It's way more interesting when we all don't like the same thing right????
How dare you dish my Ceohadrone and uragaan. But azure fair. Man is kinda cringe. Velkhanna aswell tho my problem is just how they were used in the story. For me fight and design work well

Yup I knew that. That's why he's not ACTUALLY on the list and is just a mention. Even if it's cool from a lore and story perspective, it's still not a fun hunt :)
Please. I need the "What killed the dinosaurs" velkhana video 🥺
fun fact about deviant armor sets you can make mixed sets of them if you are a blademaster, pop on gunner hat, remove chestpiece and bam still got the set bonus with the right charm and chestpiece you should be able to get a skill you want
Unfortunately crystalbeard's armor is only useful for charm running which if you find it relaxing good on you but the brachy charm farm exists so its inefficient.
you are better of mixing dreadking(damage cough silverlos chest) or dreadqueen(pretty good support set)
Don't worry. I hate Velkhana as well
I still have grudge against rathalos (also its variants) and kushala till today.
they fly too much 😡
Not to sound like a contrarian, but I think naked Velkhana is a cooler design than the ice armor form.
Velkhana fans when anyone makes a good point against her 😡 (Also screw sunbreak velkhana)
>Teostra fan
Cuck down. Lunastra is with a better man (Brown Espinas)
Bro started crashing out on uragaan😭💀
14:20 Navirou Jumpscare
Other than Velkhana, which I enjoy but also wished did more, I feel like she could have taken Ruiner’s spot at the end of the DLC (Maybe fly over the gate, because wings). I like this list, I just started GU and started G-Rank. I unlocked Crystalbeard… I don’t know if I should fight it.
16:39 Get a friend thats blademaster, have him use his ammo pouch for you. Now you have more ammo.
this is probably most useful on ahtal ka's mech where you got time to give them the ammo
Or lao shan lung.
Lunastra would like a few kind words with your Velkhana.
you can mix azurelos armor with normal rathalos armor btw which literally means just using the beta helmet.
Crystal beards skills are ass too, looked it up while you were ranting. Its just Charm Chaser, Negate Hunger, and the Good Luck skills. Literally just increasing rewards or getting more charms
you gotta fight crystalbeard 11 times actually for the g-rank version of the skill to activate.
No Plesioth on the list?, wtf.
I was paid off by the fish to not mention him unfortunately lol
I think bro hates Crystalbeard Uragaan. Might be wrong though.
4:04 Vanossgaming mentioned WTF IS BAD COMEDY GAMING!!!
Rise fixed Kushala’s fight to the point I love fighting it, Velkhana…I despise it either way a passion!! It’s not difficult I fought enough to know what it can do, unfortunately what it can do is annoy you with its bullshit zoning tactics!!
Blangonga is a real one, He trains you for Rajang, he's a Artic Monkey, in 2nd Gen his Variant ls is Meta, his Armour design is cool, overall i am a bit biased bc i just like his design, his roar and any opinion is valid anyway i hate Velkhana too don't get the hype about her
Lao Shan Lung is a classic man
nah i'm sorry but the first one discredited the entire video
Good video
this is all wrong because the real list goes:
5. lunastra
4. lunastra
3. lunastra
2. lunastra
1. lunastra
yeah you thought i'd slip someone else in
if there's only one lunastra hater in the earth, it's me. if there are no lunastra haters on earth, i am dead
*i fucking hate lunastra*
Dance with velkhana is one of the greates experiences especialinwith at velkhana her gracefull millitary theme is insanely good my top 2 dragon with white fatalis beeing top 1
Valkana just feels uninspired to me. also how you going to put Cb uragaan in 1 place because he's a deviant?
Velkana is a great fight and so is teostra and even kushla
You didn't say the name of the #3 monster.
My god you're right!! I guess that kinda proves my point that it's not a memorable monster lol
Also his name is Cephadrome :)
Azure is definitely the worst flagship..capcom could do more with him other than claw attacks and flies more.
Am I tripping for enjoying velkana?(Fight only)
Nah but I feel like it could depend on your playstyle and which velkhana we talk about since his Iceborn and sunbreak fight are decently different :)
You aren't velk's fight is honestly one of the better fights in world, personally right below alatreon.
@@spottablegaming425 well I don’t have sun break so world only
No vespoid queen?
How much did kushala pay u?
10,000,000 Zenny. I need the money for armor upgrades!
Velkhana is probably the most benign picks of yours. Nothing about the amazingly choreographed and designed fight. Just some arbitrary shit that nobody with reproductive organs actually cares about. "It loses to Nergiganteeee"
"It’s generic"
But it’s not? Even under the armour, its detail is still fairly distinguished compared its contemporaries (Kushala, Alatreon who share the same skeleton). It’s designed to be muted; it's meant to contrast between the regal looking armour and the frail underside. And you also fail to acknowledge the literal rapier tail, but that would require you to actually talk about its moveset which you would have to concede is a very strong point in its favour.
And again, you don’t acknowledge the whimsically beautiful soundtrack between both its regular and Arch Tempered iterations. You’re on thin ice buddy 🫵🙂↕️
Ahhhh I see what you did there :)
This video isn't a positive one where I talk about all the good things about the monster, I'm sure you noticed.
For me fight and design work well
Nah...I hate Nibelsnarf just as much if not more than Cephadrome
Ain't no way bruv. Saying hate and niblesnarf in the same sentence gotta be a crime lol
i hate velkhana sooooo much
My top 5 worst monster list:
5. Brachydios
4. Nightshade Paolumu
3. Chameleos
2. Gigginox
1. Khezu
Now hold on a minute brachy and giginox really we gonna pretend that blue kutkoo and purple gypseros dont exist. There are a hundred worse monsters like their over giadrome atleast
@@AlexA-ie5zv I don't give a damn about Gypceros and its subspecies, though they're definitely on my top 10 list cuz I heard of how horrendous it is to fight
@@AlexA-ie5zv Similary, I don't give a damn about Blue Yian Kut-ku since I never consider it at all
Why brachydios
He gave me more stress than Lunastra and Kushala
True worst monstee of all time Dodogama
Velkhana is actually a female🤓
Not rlly the velkhana is a species
The one in the story possibly is but we don't hunt only female ones like gammoth 💀
I think the design is more feminine so I see what your getting at but as a species they are not exclusively female
My top five are khezu, rakna kadaki, viper tobi, black diablos, and Lunastra I hate her supernova in master rank I never want to see her again.
Sounds like someone is having trouble with the game.
