A healthy diet sounds great in theory but eating plenty of fruits and veggies can exacerbate all of these issues. You may need to diverge from a healthy diet and eat what makes you feel better; potatoes, rice, bread, pasta etc. They are all great at absorbing excess acid.

I have to do low fiber. I’m tired of people selling the same diet across the board.

I already had IBS-D and got progressively worse first after the Astra Zeneca vaccine. Now even worse after getting this latest JN1 version of Omicron. Even before I had to eat soluble fibre mainly. Now, I'm on a restricted diet, I can barely eat any fruit or veggies. I agree. Selling the same diet across the board is idiocy.

It's been two months and i still have bloating when eating, lots of hiccups and strained belching, random constipation, stomach and intestinal cramps... In seeking treatment I have come to learn that the gut and immunology is easily THE LEAST understood areas of human medicine. The fact they don't have accurate diagnostics for this stuff is mind blowing to me. Seems like they just bounce me around to a procedure farm to bill my insurance for an endoscopy and then threw their hands up and stamped "IBS/IBD" on my forehead. Seems like the blanket term for all this stuff.

Same here! I've had a colonoscopy and endoscopy, some other image exams and got nowhere. They don't give me medicine and I've been having really bad cramps, diarrhea and bloating for 3 months. Have you got any better by now? I study nutrition health in a public university in Brazil. They do a lot of research there and I've been trying to find a professor who is up for it. I think we need treatment. This has exhausted my mental and physical health.

I'm getting better. Had Omicron four months ago. Drastically slowed gastric motility. The gastroenterologist wouldn't even do a food motility study, but my symptoms correlated so strongly with SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) that my kind GP prescribed Xifaxan. It knocked out the infection fast. Despite a very low carb diet, to starve the microbes, a few weeks later SIBO came back. It's disabling. With few expectations, I bought Atrantil for SIBO, classified as a supplement, but reviews on various websites were so good I went for it. It works very slowly, but within two weeks it was almost gone and then I completely recovered. Stayed on the Atrantil for two months to avoid another relapse. Then quit taking it, and a month later I am treating my third SIBO infection again with Atrantil. The whole GI system is so slow I have to take a laxative every third day, and even that takes a ridiculously long time to work.

I got it in December 2021 and really didn't get hit with symptoms until mid march. I was fully vaccinated. First headaches then I had stomach problems and anxiety. It didn't help that I already had some traumatizing things happen to me those first few months so I think anxiety made it worse. I feel like I'm constipated but I go at the same time everyday and able to go but its for sure different then my bowel movements before. Also heartrate and acid reflux apparently have been affecting me. Never serious just annoying and sometimes you just have those days where you cant handle it. I'm feeling better after taking probiotics and my diet and exercise have always been good so I think only time will tell. Also vitamins i think improved my symptoms like vitamin d and b12 and c. Took a blood test and they said I was slightly low on wbc and potassium. After I took them idk if I just tricked myself into feeling better but its easier to manage now

    @marcd1981 11 місяців тому

Good afternoon. I see this video is about 2 years old, so I'm hoping this still reaches someone that can try to answer my questions.
This is September 18th, 2023. My condition (the severest symptoms) started back on July 7th, 2023. At the onset, I had severe lower right back pain, went to the ER where a CT scan (without contrast) was run, and I was told all organs, including kidneys, were normal with no signs of stones (what they assumed was the problem when I was admitted). Now for my journey:
    1. The CT scan showed Diverticula on my colon, with no evidence of infection (Diverticulitis). The ER doctor told me on July 7th this was causing my pain. I did not realize until a week later after researching with my wife that Diverticulosis does not cause pain, and it is usually found through CT scans or colonoscopies. Also, Diverticulitis would cause pain in the lower, LEFT abdomen. My pain was in my lower RIGHT BACK.
    2. I have attempted a visit (3) times with my Primary doctor with no success. Needless to say, I need a new doctor.
    3. One week later (July 14th, 2023) I still had the pain (which the ER doctor did nothing for, just sent me home with Ibuprofen) in my lower right back, went to Urgent Care, was told by former ER doctor there it seemed to be my hip.
    4. Contacted a chiropractor through a friend's recommendation, first treatment July 17th, then July 21st had an MRI done to check for stenosis. No stenosis found, went through three weeks of chiropractic treatments (adjustments, extension table, massage, etc.). Low back pain was gone, however, it was now pain and pressure in my right flank area. The right flank (love handle area) was also numb at the start of these treatments, and it never went away.
    5. Saw a Pathologist at the chiropractors office, she thought Internal Shingles was a possibility. One week of anti-viral 5-times a day, as well as another drug for nerves prescribed. One week later nothing had changed. Pathologist thought it could be musculoskeletal, suggested Acupuncture.
    6. Acupuncture was tried throughout August with no help. On August 15th, the pressure built up in my right side from my hip to my chest to the point I went to the ER for a second time. This time a CT scan with contrast was run, and again, I was told there was nothing they could find that would cause my pain. No Hernia, no Mass, no Infection, they said there was nothing there. I asked how that was possible with the pain I had every day for (6) weeks. I received a shoulder shrug from the ER surgeon.
    7. I saw an Osteopathic doctor at the end of August who was no help, as she seemed to not believe what i was describing my pain. She saw the tests (multiple blood panels, multiple urine tests, (2) CT scans and MRI) showed nothing, and pretty much brushed me off, saying to me, "I'm just a family doctor". So why does she have DO after her name?
    8. I have been in Physical Therapy for two weeks in September, doing the prescribed strength and stretching exercises, with no relief. This past weekend was one of the worst I've had in a while. Could not sit or stand without extreme discomfort in my right flank area.
I have NO OTHER symptoms mentioned here, or asked about at my doctor visits; No fever, no nausea, no constipation, no diarrhea, no heartburn, no weakness in my legs, etc. The only thing I have had is the constant pressure and pain in my right flank area.
The ONLY thing that gives me relief is laying on my back. Within 10 minutes the pain and pressure are gone. However, no matter how long I lay down, the pressure, then the pain, start within a couple of minutes of me standing back up. And this has been going on for 11 weeks now with no end in sight.
I have a GI doctor appointment, as well as an Orthopedic doctor appointment scheduled. The problem is they aren't even THIS MONTH. It is literally a miracle if you can get a doctor appointment the same month you call for one. My former Primary doctor ordered a colonoscopy back in May of 2023, and the FIRST appointment was the first week of OCTOBER.
I am really hoping someone, somewhere, finally sees this that has seen or heard it before. It's getting to the point I have nowhere to go.
