Thank you again Hal, great to know you are telling us the truth about all these shark attacks!! Never ever going into the oceans again!!! Never doing any excursions either!!!!
Well Trinidad and Tobago will now be part of your statistics Hal, as we just got news a tourist was attacked by a bull shark (we were not aware they were in our waters) yesterday in Tobago. We have never, I mean never had a shark attack in our waters. Believe me we have swam, skied, hydro slide, surfed, paddle board, you name it every water sport in open oceans and never had an incident until now. And we have plenty sharks here. Unbelievable. Times are changing and so are animal behaviors.
That GWS was not happy to have surfers in her territory. Poor Bruce. When the shark cuts your femoral artery in the water, every pump of your heart spurts your blood out and you just bleed out.😢 That’s why they make it to the beach and then succumb. It’s a very effective hunting tactic, unfortunately, for us.😢
@@zipmegolden she was dead. Not by a shark I think she was murdered and then thrown into the sea hoping to conceal the evidence. Sorry if you get offended by black mob humour but that's the way we armed forces survive
I don't even like driving on a bridge over water . If the car going over the side didn't kill me , I just know there'd be a damn shark there to eat me when I emerged from the vehicle . 😳
@daze4341 That bridge is creepy. Especially with that old bridge running right beside it that ends very abruptly. I haven't been there since 1987, is the old bridge still up, or did they tear it down?
Think that's bad? Because those bastards live in salt water, I can't even put salt in soup. THAT'S how terrified I am of sharks. My kid put goldfish crackers in her soup. When they started bobbing to the surface, I nearly had a coronary. THAT'S how... well, you get the point, I'm really scared of sharks. All though neither of those examples are true.
Because the shark didn’t stick around to eat them. This was more likely a territorial attack where the shark didn’t want other large predators lurking around where she’s trying to get a meal. If she’d wanted to consume either one, she certainly could have. It’s not like a shark can’t catch a wounded human who’s merely paddling on a surfboard.
It ate a leg. In those situations the shark is the one deciding if you make it to shore or not. The fact he made it in means to me the shark not interested in feeding but clearing its waters
I enjoy Hal's videos. A thought keeps coming back to me, we keep seeing pictures of people eenticing sharks with bait. Isn't this likely to get the sharks to associate people with food?
If they did i think there would be a noticeable increase in attacks. They stay relatively stable the last few decades with more people and sharks in the waters
Good one, Hal. At what point do you think it goes beyond an attack and becomes an attempt to predate? Id say the 3rd test bite is pretty close. I think this shark needed a meal.
i feel it was an attempt tp predate. he couldn't get one surfer, so he went after another and took his leg. he would have finished him off if not from helpful friends.
I just saw a Shark Beware video covering an attack where a single great white ripped apart 3 women in Cairn Australia. I couldn't find anything about it on google. Did it happen?
I just dont see how people get into some parts of the ocean, especially south Africa, Australia, parts of the California and Mexican shorelines. Yes, i see the stats saying its "safer" to swim in ocean than fly or whatever. However, i dont believe the stats are anywhere near being correct and even if they were correct after knowing you can be eaten alive out there i wouldn't care if only 1 person a year died, i still want b putting myself on the menu.
@@zipmegolden Sure some species of sharks are opportunistic and will sometimes eat whatever they can to survive. But, very rarely does that include people.

Going by other attacks by same size and species. Multiple bites, 12 as with Ahoronovich in Israel no removal of flesh, just bites. Where as a single bite with removal of flesh and and intent to continue would be an attempt.
It does seem like territorial attacks, which often involve multiple bites. Just technically, Andrew had two bites attempted. The third bite, second attack on Bruce, removed flesh. It can get tricky for me to judge the nature of some of these attacks. This shark seemed to want them out of the water.
