After the Japan-only GBA game F-Zero Climax, Nintendo retired the F-Zero franchise in 2004. I demand that the franchise be brought back on the Nintendo Switch. The producer of F-Zero GX is open for it.
Despite being fairly simple design-wise, Outer Space has to be my favorite course in GX/AX thanks to its visuals. You’re racing through an active meteor shower on an abandoned space colony above Earth.
my favorite part about the ax cup is that the game forces all the ax pilots to be some of the 29 other racers throughout the races very small detail but i absolutely love it
Shame Thunder Road is so hard to unlock because I think it's the only Lightning circuit that's long enough to hear a full loop of the main theme on a default 3-lap race, which is probably the second-best theme in the game (behind the main theme for Mute City).
I am genuinely so sad that I was never able to beat the Diamond Cup on Master to get to see all of these tracks when I was younger, the bar to unlock them was really high.
Port Town- such an amazing sound track!! F- Zero clearly is ahead for graphis as it should not surprise anyone who knows GCN>PS2! Soundwise its different! F-Zero has a good techno soundtrack, but Ridge Racer is clearly ahead as it has the better remixes and collection of tracks. But that in no way downplays F-Zero!
While Aeropolis Screw Drive is boring and too short, I find the rest of the tracks in the AX Cup to be fun and challenging. I can't wait until I unlock it again.
Aeropolis is too short because it wasn't made for just 3 laps. In AX it takes 6 laps instead of 3. I wish they kept that lap count along with Outer Space's (it's 4 there)
@@ShadowSora8491 I haven't played AX either, but I've seen a few videos of it before to check the differences. Mute City Sonic Oval also is a track there and it has *8* laps instead of 3, it's basically AX/GX's Baby Park
@@NessBrawl64 Cool. I knew about Mute City: Sonic Oval, since it's still available outside of Grand Prix Mode, in GX, but I didn't know it also has 8 laps, in AX.
@@ShadowSora8491 If you have a PC you can emulate this game pretty well (except sand ocean) and there’s a hack built in to it (GameShark/Action replay) that changes GX to AX and you can play, with controller) the arcade version of the game. I think I might have a video of me playing said hack on my channel. I’m not looking for views, it’s mostly for archival stuff but check it out. It’s really easy to do.
I know the primary way to unlock this cup is to beat the main 4 cups in master, but I read a few guides on this game, one of which states "To unlock AX Tracks, get first in AX Machine Tracks or beat all the grand prix on Master." I dont really understand what the author meant by this, like beating the other cups with an AX machine? I have been in the process of unlocking all the AX machines in the hard story first.
If I'm not mistaken, it's referring to coming in first place on the F-Zero AX arcade cabinet, since it did have a feature where you could unlock things and save them to your Gamecube memory card.
I consider it a lot easier to get first place in all races with the Phoenix, but I actually prefer using the Blue Falcon. I used Captain Falcon for this cup because I found that I was still able to get first place on every stage despite it being more difficult.
@@arronmunroeah i see, nice job. I started using Phoenix a lot after watching your videos and its been my favorite vehicle since. I finally 100% the game after a few weeks
I have a Wii, but not F-Zero GX, I can’t find a copy anywhere at half-price books or anywhere that sells GameCube games. I’m not giving up my quest to get a copy.

Oh my gosh, Captain Falcon killed Jody, even though he saved her in the story mode.
I'm not even an F-Zero fan, and I'm still upset that the Switch will seemingly come and go without a new F-Zero game called F-Zero NX
I'm not an F-Zero expert...

I never even knew AX mode existed, 12 year old me could never beat diamond on Master difficulty.

Good display of skills here. Very good looking game in 1080P. Still no sign of a successor, unsurprisingly.

@aaronmunroe how did you get your quality of the game so high ?
With the emulator Dolphin, you can play the game at a higher resolution. A direct capture just wouldn't look as sharp.
