I love how, every time I watch these episodes, I discover more must see movies.
Twister is awesome in so many ways. As a meteorologist, I find the use of the terminology hilarious. They use real weather terms, but not accurate in most ways. You can tell they had expert advisors on the film. They had a list of technical weather jargon that the writers just mixed up and pasted wherever they saw fit. Yeah, it isn't a 4 star movie, but it certainly isn't a bad one. The special effects and production value are excellent. The plot is fine. It was easy to follow. There are so many quotable lines and fun characters. It is one of my favorite action movies. I respect the hell out of Siskel and Ebert, so I just have to laugh at their reaction to this film. I'd give it 3/4 stars in my book, mainly for the production value and great actors. RIP to all of the wonderful people featured, Bill Paxton,Philip Seymour Hoffman, and certainly Siskel and Ebert. You left us all too soon.
You can tell it’s a Michael Crichton script with the broad strokes he gets right, the “science for business versus pure research” conflict common in his take on the physician scientist movement postwar, and the characters as exaggerated amalgamations of people Crichton met over his travels.
Yes, it's well produced but it fails to be a good movie.
The "cone of silence" reference gave me a good laugh
The couple in the Hallmark commercial at 9:17 is Kimberly Williams & George Newbern from 1991's FATHER OF THE BRIDE. I guess this commercial is a meta-sequel after the 1995 sequel? 🤷♂️
Oh man, this whole time I've been pronouncing it "TORE-nuh-DOO." No wonder I get those looks.
Bill Paxton Is Missed🌪
#TheTruth -- 💯%
And so is Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Their review of Twister tho...lmbo
" A midway carnival blah blah blah "...lmbo
Twister was a favorite of mine when I was 9. Now ? I find it to be pretty stupid but I see an interesting film that could have been made. Hunt's obsession could have reached Herzogian levels of brilliance, mankind's turbulent relationship with nature.
Twister was the first movie I saw with my first boyfriend. I really didn't like it. I mean the special effects were good but I thought the characters were really stupid. I wanted to like the movie Boys because I like Winona Ryder but it was boring.
With all sincere, I enjoyed Twister as a no-brainer 90s action film and a lot more fun than that absolutely overrated Hunchback Of Notre Dame garbarge that came out later that summer of 1996.
I actually liked The Hunchback of Notre Dame not as good as Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and The Lion King.
Twister was garbage, but Dead Man was good. Ebert is right about Dead Man, the soundtrack was annoying and repetitive.
Twister is an absolute stupid, over acted movie. Complete garbage
When Helen exclaims "Right! Left!", it's the most embarrassing scene. At that point, the movie dissolves the line between movies and video games.
Another bad review by siskel and ebert
