This is a game changer for me. I never even thought about using parchment paper between the flowers and cake! Thank you so much. I think I'm going to do a practice cake this weekend.
Thank you! Total game changer with the parchment paper. I have been hating wrapping the flower stems and sticking them into my cakes. Most of the time the floral tape will get stuck in the cake when they’re pulled out. Absolutely beautiful cakes and very practical tips!!
Aww parchment paper in between on top of the cake and the flowers. Brilliant idea. I will definitely gonna try this. I'm a cake decorator from srilanka who follow many of your wedding cake videos. Thankyou so much ❤
I like how you demonstrate your tutorials plain , simple direct to the point - can't missed to subscribe to this - Congratulations and more videos to come 🥳
Rosie 💕💕💕 it's a marvellous cake 🍰🍰🍰 very beautiful tutorial video 👌👌👌 simple and brief description of Mother's Day cake 👍👍👍 Thank-you 💜💛 so much for sharing this lovely video 💋💋💋💋💋
Love your tips and how detailed your tutorial is! This is the best tiered cake tutorial on youtube. One question for you. Is there a reason why you didn't use the centre dowel to keep two cakes together? I would love to not use it, but I wanted to make sure if the cake stayed fine without the dowel. Thanks.
They are so pretty, do you have a rule of thumb when it comes to how much cake batter you need? eg how much cake batter for the 4 and 5 inch cakes. Thank you! 😊
Hi Rosie, your videos are awesome! I love watching them, and learning new techniques. What type of lighting do you use for your filming and photography?
Thanks so much Sheri :) I got lucky, my mums kitchen i directly in front of 5 windows in an arch, so the natural lighting is perfect. Otherwise I would have used 3 soft boxes to light up the set (which is what I do on a rare occasion if it's dusk)
Tell us about the scraper. Great idea!!! You said you made it or did you mean you had someone make it for you? I assume you drew out a template first and then gave it to whomever cut the plexiglass for you. Is that correct? What are the dimensions?
these are made out of plexiglass / clear acrylic :) I design these on Illustrator and then send them to print to my laser cutting machine. They are available for purchase here if you'd like one :rosiesdessertspot.com/product/scalloped-edge-scraper/ there is 30% off at the moment too ;) the coupon code at checkout is gimme30 xx
Hi Rosie! Thank you as always for you magnificent tutorials. My question is, do you put your cakes on the refrigerator after you crumb coat or in the freezer. I don't quite understand in the video if you say freezer or fridge. Thank you!
Hey Rosie, first of all lemme tell u this. I just love all your videos sooooo muccchhhhh. Honestly, I found your channel recently so I keep watching all your old videos & go like OH WOW THIS GIRL IS SUPER TALENTED!! I just wanna know how many kgs is your 5 inches cake & your 4 inches cake which u using in this video. I'm planning to make this same cake for my sister's bdy this month. Please reply Rosie. Much love for u😘♥️
Hi ..I am always getting confuse about 2 tier cake ..I don’t understand about cake tin sizes?can u plsss share tips..if I want to make 2 kg cake which size should I use ?
haha thank you ! Yes you can :) they are listed just here: rosiesdessertspot.com/product/scalloped-edge-scraper/ there is 30% off at the moment too, using the coupon code Gimme30 at checkout :)
If you do this, stack the cakes where you plan to serve them. I'd also recommend buying the whipped topping, you can find it in the cake decorating section of the store, or, you can also ask your bakery section of your supermarket to sell you a bucket of it. Sam's will sell you a very large bucket for less than $20. You can also freeze it for future cakes.
gorgeous cake......I'm living in Asia...the weather here is hot...i coudn't grab the cake after i frost it with cream, even if it's buttercream...There will be ugly finger prints there :(
Oh no, sorry to hear hun! I wonder if using an all vegetable shortening based buttercream will make a difference? This is what I recommend in super warm climates.
Hi hun, this is a very good question. I personally wouldn't sell these for anything under $70 Australian Dollar, but that's because I am a boutique and I would make to order. If I were an established bakery and I know I can make bake 40 of these at once and decorate them all within a few hours, then the price would immediately drop to $35 each. Home bakers should be charging more as they don't have the capacity to make these in bulk, and what we make is custom made and unique rather than the same generic design :) sorry, it's a complicated one to really answer properly. I hope that made some sense!

I love your UA-cam channel, your videos are very easy to learn to decorate. I love it.
So simple, yet very delicate. Also love the idea of that parchment paper on top so the flowers don’t touch the cake💕💕

Hi ..I am always getting confuse about 2 tier cake ..I don’t understand about cake tin sizes?can u plsss share tips..if I want to make 2 kg cake which size should I use ?
Hi hun, I normally use 3 inch tall cake tins. 2KG would normally make 4x 6 inch cakes, or 2x9 inch round cakes.
Very elegant

Can you please tell as to how many pounds are these cakes? Because here in my country, the cakes are measured in terms of pounds not servings.
Thanks

How much should I sell them for if I make them? I live in Dallas Texas.

Hi there, these are made out of acrylic. You can design them on graphic software like Illustrator (which is how I designed mine)
What's the height of the cake? 4 inches or 5?
Where can you purchase the comb that you used on the cake?
They are beautiful
Thank you! You can grab one here at 30% off (coupon code Gimme30): rosiesdessertspot.com/product/scalloped-edge-scraper/

Hi hun, these are real flowers, the fresh variety :)
Hello ma'am..what is the weight of this cake in kg or in pounds?
hi hun, unfortunately we measure in inches here rather than weight for cakes. Sorry I couldn't be of more help here x
@@Rosiesdessertspot if you could please help me with the height of each layer of the cake you have used?
What size are the cakes?
Hi Emylee, these were 5 inch and 4 inch cakes :)
👏👏👏👏❤😍😍😍
May I know if the scrapers are made in Australia or China?
Hi hun, I make these myself (so within Australia) and sell them worldwide :)
