Brad actually inspired me to purchase a piano and start playing after a hiatus of twenty years essentially. I suppose a debt of gratitude is owed. So here it is :THANKS BRAD .
Yes ça fait bien plaisir ! Retrouvailles en période covid avec le fameux Félix, qui déboîte tout. Répertoire sympa sur les 4 concerts, à consommer sans modération :))
He won't be remembered in another 15 or 20 years. His playing has always been clever and sophisticated, and nearly dead. Every tune becomes an etude for him to demonstrate his technical facilities and sophistication. He rarely swings and his conceptions or renderings of pieces lack power, passion, and feeling.
I've been listening to this all week, every day and I gotta say that this version of Straight Street is ridiculously good. The best I've ever heard anywhere. Completely lucid playing. Brad could do a whole master class on this bit of solo starting around here 46:19
As a bass player I was at first a little desapointed not to see Larry on bass I love so much his play. Afer few minuts I was happy to discover this young bass payer he's really good.
Many thanks! Listening to this feels like a soothing, balmy breeze in stormy and crazy times. So good! I love that strong kind of Jimmy Cobb Cymbal Beat with all kinds of creative ideas embedded. Wonderful Trio anyway ... is the Q&A part available also?
Such beautiful deliberation. Mehldau asks each chord as it's played: "You right?" Yeah, says the chord. I'm right. This is a fine trio. maybe in another ten years I'll be okay on the piano.
Was Moseholm a student selected from the master class to perform w. Mehldau & Rossy? Maybe not, since I expect it was a piano master class. But then, Rossy has been known to play piano. In any case, congratulations, Mr. Moseholm.
Felix Moseholm was a Student at Juilliard at that Point. But he wasn‘t asked to join as a Student, he was just playing on a very high Level already. I beliebe Jorge recommended him, because they played together before.

Love to see Jorge back with Brad!
It's amazing !

Mehldau! One of the greatest pianists 🙏🏻

This is just pure musical fun, masterfully on display :)
Oh my, Baby's in Black is so good... Hank Jones spirituality vibe and Mehldau cool-i-fiction. Brad is my GOAT jazz muse shaman.

Nice Paul Bley vibe on the first blues, maybe..
A Paiste Masters Flat Ride as I got it from previous clips? Sounds very good.
What a nice performance. Deep water but Moseholm swim beautiful together with Mehldau and Rossy!

Very nice! Thx for the upload! Do you also have the Q&A?
Yes, few words after each gigs but I prefer to put the music online.
I hope my subscription to your channel will allow you to never see 666 again. 😆
Hahaha ! Thanks :))
@@jeremybruger1983 I subscribed, of course, not because of 666, which I do not believe in, but because of your noble taste in art.

My people have been ruled by a tribe of savages for almost 500 years. The world doesn't know about it...
Jorge is great but why these plastic brushes? No sound at all...
Interesting.. I hear them fine.. maybe a slightly different, dryer sound than wire. It’s almost like he was going for that sound. 🤦
Sounds fine to me
