Exactly mate. This is what I thought when I watched his old Nike The Switch advert if you remember. That motivation, that work ethic, that love for the game sets him apart. Tomorrow if he lost all the money, all the fame, all the fans, his mentality will only push him to start from the scratch again even at this age with out an inch of a doubt. What people fail to understand is that some may hate him, some adore him but no one can deny how much he can inspire anyone.
One has to admire his mental strength. Forget his obvious talents as a footballer, he genuinely seems indifferent to what others think of him, and that ability to be totally impervious to criticism is a quality in itself
Actually no, he's not indifferent to criticism and what others think of him. But he has the mental resilience to draw motivation and drive out of that better than anyone else. It's like the more he gets criticised the harder he works. When he was accused of being a lazy pressing player he followed up with a good pressing performance against Atalanta. Regularly ran for the ball, made runs in behind and showed the people they were wrong, yet again
Cristiano Ronaldo essentially has the competitive mind that rival the King Micheal Jordan. When someone ready to criticize when he fail, he was like "Ok fine... I come back next week trying even harder to prove them wrong".

@@zikzag100 Don't wanna argue. But your points can be said literally about any player, as football is ultimately a team sport. However, my point is that even after Ronaldo won the UCL 3times in a row, even after Ronaldo won the Euro Cup, he is still criticized after every single time his team loses a match. Take his first season in Juventus as an example. He literally scored 5goals in Second round and QF of the UCL. Because of defensive error, Juve lost out to Ajax. He was ridiculed because he couldn't deliver the UCL. If the same thing happened with any other player, the entire media would say how unfair it is to that particular player because team couldn't live up to the standard. The entire media criticized the Argentine team for so long saying they let Messi down. However, the media didn't do the same thing with Ronaldo, when he was in Juve. My point is that there is always a negative bias towards Ronaldo, by the media, no matter how many times he achieved/achieves things, breaks records, etc.
@@Abhilash_Jena it's true. But it's still disrespectful the way the entire media, even fans of other clubs treat him. I was a kid when he first signed for man utd and, as an Arsenal supporter, especially in that era, I never liked him. As an adult, I am in awe of his focus and desire to be the best he can be. It is amazing to me. I imagine he has sacrificed a huge amount to achieve what he has. I have nothing but admiration for him. Fair play to anyone that decides to commit their whole life to being the best they can be. He deserves every accolade that comes his way. I truely hope the assault charges against him are unfounded because, if so, he is an absolute inspiration to everyone, in whatever career you choose.

But for him to come to the toughest league in the world, to put his United legacy, his career on the line is just unreal. Shows a lot about him and he’s still performing!?! It’s just absurd, we all knew he was a born winner but this, this is true levels. We’ve never seen this in football. we’ve seen talented greats but not someone who’s literally just mentally superior than the rest. That’s his greatness.

He’s always conducted himself as a professional, has been gracious in both victory and defeat, has a next-level understanding of the game and of the supporters, and never gives up in game or in his preparation for them. There will always be a pang of regret that he plays for United, but I’ll also remember him clapping the Anfield supporters after he almost single-handed demolished Liverpool with Madrid. He’ll always have my respect

The older I get, the more respect I have for this guy
Unbelievable this guy is. Mentally and dedication is on a whole other level. 🐐
He is in a league of his own. He can play till he is 45. The dedication and motivation and spirit he has are second to none..... One day he will be looked back at as the greatest of all times.
Maybe he will play till he is 55,only he can set his limits.
when talking about his international goal scoring record gave me chills, he wants to set the record even higher he said, like it isn’t already going to be nearly impossible to pass him now is insane lol
someone will pass him .... that Iranian guy he started to score more on his late ages ... imagine a guy like Mbappe when he become more mature he will surely trying going for it .
@@nakimteti7249 I don’t think so to be honest but not saying it’s impossible but that record will be unbroken for hella years like so much
@@nakimteti7249 depends in he stays in Ligue 1 then yes
@@nakimteti7249 bur he is the first player for so many years to reach that mashallah
It's so fascinating to hear Ronnie talk - passion, drive, focus, intensity. He's utterly magnificent
I love his confidence and immodesty- "I sleep good everyday, regardless of what they day about me" 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
“I hate when we lose.”
“It was a draw”
“Same thing”
Sick.
I’m a gooner and this man has all my respect- for me, his mentality is everything and he deserves every success in life.
Yeah that alone tells you a lot of him very impressive. I am sure Roy Keane looks at him and is smiling. What a great mentality. I think this kind of mentality is what you people in Arsenal miss.
Time stamp please

Really man really. This is exceptional. This is what made him one of the best, rather the best ever to grace the game.
No one's as motivated as this man ......He once lost a table tennis match and he bought a set and trained for 2 weeks and won the next match😂😂........His mentality and consistency is unmatched, Simply the GOAT👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑
