I couldn’t agree more! The issue is limited tracks. I live in Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. Like many places we don’t have space that could be used. It would be great though!!

I use to really love this race. But now with GPS dashboards, cell phone headsets, intercoms with the pits, pre-planned maps, ext.
It seems that the race has lost it's "Man vs Dessert" theme which made it so amazing in the first place.
Haven't looked into it much, but you would think there is different divisions prohibiting technology.

Mlg Dank rc Get some experience under your belt, wether that be fabrication or mechanical...and just start sending out emails to shops you want to work for...it won’t happen overnight but keep trying, stay consistent and motivated. You gotta want the job, you are gonna be a shop bitch for a long time till you do the fun stuff. In currently in the shop bitch stage myself lol. But hey nothings better than working on race trucks all day.

Here’s my story, so I took metal and auto shop in high school, which was the initial start for me, anyways...right outta high school I got a job at a local sheet metal shop...they built flat track bikes on the side which was awesome and something I wanted to get into...so they told me if I work my ass off with in 6 months I’ll be an apprentice for the shops frame builder...2 years go by I leaned everything in this shop, from press breaks to taking a training class on how to operate cnc lasers for them...I mean I did a lot, learned a lot, I was hungry to learn everything...so I did. Getting off track here lol. But so yeah 2 years go by and no apprenticeship yet, I still had hope. So I get called in the bosses office, and I’m like this is it! It’s happening...nope got a big fuck you to the face, basically got told to not be back in the fabshop anymore and only to run the cnc laser...his words exactly was “if you want to do fabrication go somewhere else”...that sucked to hear really did. I was pissed and made that my last week at that shop. I quit. So a few months later I ended up moving and when I got all settled in I was like okay need a job fast...so it’s like okay what do I know? Pretty much everything in sheet metal production and cnc...found a production job on Craigslist for a machine shop, it was good money and I needed money. So I’m working 50 hours a week running a lathe and I’m about dam near losing my mind, literally going insane...no music, no talking, nothing but the sound of a lathe for 10 hours a day...3 weeks in I couldn’t take it so I quit. I really started to rethink a career in fabrication/offroad and started to think I should just take the family construction business serious and make it my career. I was kinda a mess, the first time life hits you it’s a fucking hard punch to the face. I didn’t just want to throw away all the years in high school I spent leaning fabrication and mechanical stuff. I sure as hell didn’t want to throw away the 2 years I spent in production fabrication, so I wrote up a resume and sent out a mass email to company’s like tsco, Stewart’s race works, etc. 2 weeks go by nothing but a email back from Craig Stewart saying they don’t need anyone right now, but will keep my resume just in case. I was bummed out to say the least. Then one day I checked my email and say something, I clicked it and it was jimco racing, I kinda freaked out lol. But it said bring a hood and gloves down for a weld test. So I was like shit I don’t have gloves or a hood and I haven’t welded anything in over 6 months, what ever fuck it, it’s a chance at a life long dream, so I leave work right then and there go to air gas but a cheap hood and a pair of tillmans, gotta have tillmans, show up nervous as fuck...like I’m shaking uncontrollably trying to tig weld 2 pieces of pipe together lol...it looks like shit, functional but it was super burnt. I’m rusty af and didn’t find out till after that the bottle was low...so almost no gas too. So there like alright got a few more interviews next week...I’ll give you a call before tuesday. I’m leaving this place a nervous reck, and was for the whole week. Tuesday rolls buy and I get the call, hey when can you start. I’m freaking out at this point, on cloud 9, started the job pretty recently and have just been the shop bitch rn to prove I got what it takes...it’s not too fun washing dirty ass trucks all day but hey at least I’m in the field I want to be in. And getting to drive the trucks is badass, granted it only like a 100ft at a time...it’s still fucking sick!!! But yeah that was basically my whole journey from 16 to 21 😂 Anymore questions just let me know

Ive never seen a trophy truck in real life because its las vegas and here in vegas theres not allot of it here. But man what i would do to see one of these at least wash them like you do. But RN i just wanna focus on the racing career stuff and imma keep searching till i do find the answer to my question. But hey i really appreciate on you answering my questions
