Leona's Workshop does garage kits but she does some 3D printed ones too. Some of the methods she uses to do her figures might help you out. She does shading with pastels, uses watercolor pencils for fine details, airbrushing, & explains the base and top costs to use for what she does. Her description boxes give a lot of info on what she uses. I don't do kits, I just like her art & personality lol. But I do crafty stuff & enjoy watching artists do their thing too 😊

i'm pretty sure there's transparent resin for printers. if you're interested in seeing a transparent doll, moonlight jewel recently made one in her 10h vs 100h doll video. just based on that one, transparent bjds do look incredible and i'd love ettelan to make one like that.
This one came out super cute! I really appreciate more people making and documenting the process of custom 3d-printed dolls. It opens up soooo many possibilities for the kinds of dolls people can make in the future, and also more hope that some of my favorite dolls will expand from super limited manufacturing runs to dolls I can have printed myself when the main stock runs out.
