I love how your ambitious decision to print out the entire body was prefaced by "Well I'm in lockdown anyway". Your incredibly high level of craftsmenship and level of perfection you bring to your dolls always takes my breath away. I'm so glad we could work together through collaboration at last!

I also noticed this and laughed, because when I was studying on university one couple meet in similar way - my classmate asked one boy to teach her how to use an airbrush, but he is not a miniature painter but works with custom bikes/motorcycles. 😆 They are still together.

@Chelsea Kirk true! I don't have my channel but I learn how to grow up with art and make my art better and better! My new 3D and paintings are very different from three years ago, Etellan is one of the few who have the gift to inspire others and me of course

i thought the easier idea would be shrink/print the head and use apoxie or smth to add slight mods to the body but apparently etellan doesnt work “easy” which is cool to see (the main doll customizer i watch is dollightful so im used to her way of working, simple but effective)

I kind of love that the crew doesn't have a captain. Like, it feels like a small group of friends who decided to explore rather than coworkers (the fact that there's no uniform also makes it feel like they all got together and brought their own stuff and decided to get a spaceship)

I just love imagining the diverse backgrounds and character designs for this crew. It reminds me of a DnD campaign, with everyone’s personalities shining through on their dolls. I can imagine the unique technologies that your dolls race had to come up with to navigate and survive in their challenging environment- and how they could see the impact of changes to their ecosystem, and would find that a valuable area of research. The rainforests on earth are such a laboratory for climate change, I can only imagine what it would be like on a forest planet.
Dollightful’s Bibi obviously comes from a race that has been interacting with other planets for millennia, and their culture is a melting pot of design. They also have the security in their own lives to create art and fashion!

Holy christ, Eres is gorgeous. And I love that you rooted her so deeply in her culture with the hair. I can imagine Bibi (from Dollightful) knocking on Eres's door, worried why she hasn't joined the others for breakfast, then opening it to see Eres braiding her hair and fixing it.

Absolutely stunning! Personally, I like aliens that have been based off of entomological and/or botanical designs, so she's absolutely my idea of an alien. (Personally, I always thought it would be cool to use an Orchid Mantis as a reference, but your partner's Leaf Bugs have inspired a really fantastic doll! And they're very lovely bugs, so congrats to your partner on their hatching!)

I loved listening to the backstory of your doll. I love how it makes her seem more intimidating, even though she's still a sympathetic character.
The fact that her crew members could be putting themselves in danger just by trying to have a sleepover with her makes her seem more alien.
If you wanted color changing aspects of the face up, I would recommend color shifting pigments in make-up. These can be pearlescent highlighter, duo or multi chrome powders, holographic shimmers, etc!
I discovered you through this collaboration and I've only watched a few of your videos but I absolutely loved them all. Your style is so unique and all the customs are beautiful. The music really goes well with the video and your voice! I'm really glad you did this collaboration that probably led many other viewers like me to discover your channel.
I love how you balanced a futuristic space suit with traditional-themed hairstyle. Eres is a beautiful doll, and I adore how her body type and size differentiates her from others, like a true alien. Very well done!

That's so interesting, I actually did get a notification. I love watching the detail you put into designing the species; to be honest, it was nice to see someone else who looked to nature and thought very in depth about what their creature was like, how the species evolved, what made them how they were.

Something that I absolutely love about the doll making community is how they are so very detailed and so unique and beautiful. The detail and effort put into these individual dolls gives them so much more character and personality and I love how creative you all are with your designs and I love how you make a character into something tangible and it makes it seem like the character is actually real. This entire community gets creative and innovative when it comes to creating the doll. It’s truly a beautiful process to see and as an artist myself I thoroughly enjoy these videos. The hair and braids were the first thing that got my atention when I saw your doll's preview in Dolligtful's video, then it came the armour and her face, I really loved the cretivity of the desing and lore, a very gorgeus, regal and unique doll, loved it!
This just cemented my opinion that you are a true artist. A high end designer of the doll world. I think this is my favorite project I’ve seen you do, it really allowed your skill to show through. From design, to printing, to construction, and execution it was evident just how talented you are.

First off, I love this doll so so much! Second, Color Out of Space is my favorite Lovecraft story!
