    I really like the cable/glide board level options. I have an XLS and just found a strong wooden stick to use before ordering the bar. Its been fun, amd holds 100lbs no problem. I even added a resistance band, and some dumbells and kettlebells towards the bottom of the glide board. Its been a great work out week so far.

      That sounds awesome. Very curious what kind of stick it was.

    The best attachment TG could ever make. Is something similar to what bowflex made when the power pro first came out 20 or more years ago. Called the purvis bar. It basically gave you the option to change the width of the pulleys. Something like what’s on the side of this machine shown in the video. Thats something I’d pay money for

    For those tricep push downs you can just set up the cables on the outside part of the pull up bars so they are wider apart, feels better

    Like this way of training, feels like u gonna get more out of the reps than the fast paced ones. Kind of same approach as in the Skyler King videos. Big thumps up, keep the videos coming.

    Really enjoyed the workout.... but pushed it to 4 sets....we did order the Encompass! The fit is well worn .....cables had to be replaced, new wheels so we figured it was time for an upgrade

    I’m new to bench slider training and really appreciate your videos. I have less joint pain from doing less heavy weight and am feeling great. Had a few questions….
    Do you do this upper body routine 2 or 3 times a week?
    Regular chin-ups with a slider bench finisher??
    Do you actually train legs with the bench? I don’t have a high end bench and I’m really trying to figure out how I can work my legs. I’m thinking I might go body weight with some small kettlebells.
    Any advice would be appreciated

      From 2020 to about 2023 I did an upper body routine similar to this about 4x a week. Definitely could do regular chins for sure.
      I've made a bunch on videos on legs talking about the pros/cons only at this point, I prefer to legs with other modes. Supplementary (but small leg tools) would be some resistance bands, vertical leg press, or barbells / DBs.

      Thank you. I made a video awhile back where I showed you can still get results with no attachments or handles here ua-cam.com/video/0-BoT2siW3w/v-deo.html But I should replicate that into a workout.

    I recently got the Costco version (Xtreme) and love it. One question though. On some of your sliders that have the weight bar hole, does the hole pass through the outside finger protector(mine's plastic) and the metal frame of the actual slider? I'm thinking about drilling holes in the thing but I think it might weaken the frame too much. What are your thoughts?

    • @hybridresistance
      @hybridresistance  Рік тому

      I have heard of people doing this but don't really have a comment on it. I'd say it might be easier just returning it to Costco and getting an Apex model cheaper on amazon.

      @@hybridresistance thanks for the reply. I'm at the point where I'm looking into adding bands for extra resistance. Your videos are the reason why I've focused on Total Gym again. Through many of my work injuries and PT, my therapist always put me on an old school Total Gym and it was amazing back then. So underrated. Thanks for the videos!

    Thanks! Would you consider for a fee making videos of exercises by body part using the GTS only?

    • @hybridresistance
      @hybridresistance  8 місяців тому

      Thank you so much for that super thanks! I am in the process of making a Sliding Bench Training Course that will have a detailed exercise library. Unfortunately, I've given away my GTS to a family member. But I will say that whatever you can do on a GTS you can do on any of the other popular models such as the FIT or GR8FLEX machine.

      May I ask why you got rid of the GTS?
      If you decide to follow through with GTS exercises for mass and toning I will be glad to pay you for the service.
      Also do you have any thoughts on Oxfit and Tonal?

      @@gianlucacerri4398 I just wasn’t using it and preferred the FIT more. With regards to the E gyms, I think the Speediance gym monster is the best. I did a couple videos on this on the channel if you’re interested.

    Love this workout! 💪💪💪 Is there a way to perform a chest press on the TG while lying down on the slider bench? If so, can you please post a demonstration? Much appreciated 👍

    • @hybridresistance

      There is a way where you rig the cable under an XLS weight bar, but I find it’s a little cumbersome. What I have done is done a resistance band press under the board attached to a bar and that feels great. I got a few videos where I did this, but one recent one was my “total gym with x3 video”.

    Can you recommend a upper body workout to gain muscle size and definition?

    • @hybridresistance
      @hybridresistance  Рік тому

      This would be one such workout I'd recommend. At the end of the day if you consistently (over a long period of time) repeat foundational movement that stress the major muscle groups, along with progression (more reps/volume, more intensity), the gains will come. I know that may sound simple, but on the surface it is, just a lot of variables to consider (age, diet, training age, form, etc).

      @@hybridresistance I’m 47 years old. I try to eat egg whites and ensure max protein which has 30 grams of protein. I am about 250 and I intake about 180 grams of protein since I want to lose weight and gain muscle mass and definition. I want to be able to take my shirt off and have the women notice lol.
