Extremely helpful video!! After much research, I decided on the X-T3 to satisfy my “amateur enthusiast” photography/video desires. The body and several lenses arrived this past week. This video was invaluable regarding the menus and where to begin. Your efforts in making this available are deeply appreciated!!

Very informative video. I like the way you went all the way through the options - thanks! I've been shooting with Fuji for a few years now and just retired my trusty X=E2. Snagged the X-T3 for $999 last week! I especially liked the video section because I haven't even dabbled in that. I too love to adapt lenses. I've got 7 old film-era lenses, Nikon, Asahi SMC, Yashinon, etc. I've subscribed to your channel as well.

Well done vid. Shooting in RAW unfortunately eliminates the Fuji film simulations in the photo mode. I recently started shooting in the ASTIA mode. I find it amazing and no need to spend time in post as well as being consistent in the way I like to shoot photos and video as well.

Depends on what’s more important for you: Image stabilisation (X-S10) or weather sealing (X-T3). The image quality is pretty much the same, with the X-t3 having a bit more options for CODEC and bit rates.

Hi, thanks for the helpful video. I have Fuji X-E2 bought first many years back. I also recently bought the X-T3 but for some reason the photos are coming out way darker then initially shot. Would you happen to know why this might be happening?
If I use the same lens on my X-E2 with same settings, the photos are perfectly fine but on X-T3, the photos are much darker.
Would appreciate any help / suggestions on this. Thanks alot in advance.

Thanks, I’m glad you found the video helpful! As for the “darker” photos on the X-T3, not sure what’s happening here, but make sure you don’t have the exposure compensation dial engaged when you take the photo or the LCD screen set to a brighter setting. Hope you find a solution. Cheers!

Thank you so much for the kind feedback!
You could definitely use single point, but I prefer using the Zone focus settings for landscape (depending on the situation). It will allow you to identify the portion of the image that should be in focus (vs only 1 point). I would also recommend putting the zone focus 2/3 into the image and using an aperture between f/8 and f/16 (or even smaller if you lens permits it).
