That’s the whole point of marriage tho being validated as a wife instead of being among the concubines. Let’s not water down marriage coz we ain’t there yet. It’s stil something glorious that all should strive for just like success.
Im 32. Single and Child free. I started my dream career 9 months ago and im in the process of buying my first home on my own. No help from family, no partner. All my own dedication to my own life and my own stability.
If I had have listened to my Mum, past partners and other people I've crossed paths with, I would not have been in this strong, stable position im in today.
I would say instead of concentrating on romantic relationships and children, SAVE YOUR MONEY LADIES. It is so important because then NO MATTER what happens with men etc, if you're financially independent and stable YOU ARE FREE.
And after that, learn about yourself. What do you really like? What are your hobbies? What makes you the most authentic version if yourself?
Also, find yourself a suitable skin care routine and stick to it!

@@jozzz222 Well everyone's skin is different. What works for me may not work for you and vice versa. But I would say to everyone to find a cleanser and moisturizer that works for your skin type and ALWAYS take your makeup off and use SPF everyday. 👌

I got married at 23 and became a divorced single mum by 26… I have learnt that all I was doing was requiring things I.e the title of being married. Instead what I should have done was build an amazing relationship with someone I want to do those things with. People focus too much on getting married vs who they will marry. Who you marry will shape your entire marriage experience. Don’t pray for marriage pray for a partner that will love and value you then and only then your marriage will be truly LIT 🔥

Exact reason why I got off of social media and only check in every blue moon and thats only to check MY notifications, i do NOT scroll because I found myself comparing myself to others and downing myself and since I’ve been off social media and I’ve felt so much better since. I’ll be 35 in March & despite attempts of being discouraged about not yet being married or having kids, I thank God for all the blessings HE’s given & the protection throughout my foolish 20s. I’ve been doing the inner work since I turned 30 & whenever HE feels I’m ready for the next level then so be it… I’m no longer rushed by society’s “expectations” & I have much more peace within 😌

I thought by now I would’ve been in a relationship that led to marriage. I would meet guys and for some reason it never worked out. I’m 25 and I’m realizing that I shouldn’t feel inadequate just because I’m not in a relationship. I’m taking life one day at a time and enjoying my singleness. My plans might not been what I hoped but everything happens for a reason.
I always try to remind myself that singleness is a blessing too, because it really is, take this time to develop a relationship with yourself, it's such a beautiful thing to get to know yourself, learn how to take care of yourself and love yourself unconditionally ❤️

Most of the women I know that are happily married it happened because they first worked on themselves and were not looking for love. It happened when they least expected it, they were ages 27-60 so it is never too late to find love.

My Tipp for social media, clear up the sites that you follow and I do take my extra time to "block" (no interest) posts that I don't want the algorithm to show me and also I did turn off the notifications. I only use Instagram and that every few days for like at least 10 min 🙏
Also to catch up with you guys: I'm 25 and I just started my career, it's not my dream job but it's a step in the right direction, also just moved in in my own apartment .. all alone and I love it.

I've personally never felt this way. Since I was a kid, I was fully aware of the fact that God is in 100% control of my life and all of my days will unfold the way He wills them to. When you learn to let go of the need for control and let go of all of these arbitrary little "plans" we come up with for our lives, it's SO liberating! There are no deadlines, there are no time limits, there are no expiration dates with God. Just complete, absolute freedom.
The moment you're willing to say, "Lord, take this out of my hands" and actually let Him HAVE it.... sis, everything changes for the better. 🙏❤

@@elle_l808l When I'm confused or scared or trying to make a decision, I pray about it. I surrender all I am and all I have to the Father and pray that His Will always be done in my life. Trying to do things my way with no regard for God or what He wants for me always ends in disaster.
God is faithful. Always has been, always will be. When I trust Him with all of my heart and lean not on my own understanding, when I surrender my will completely to His, He makes a way for me. It's really that simple.

You have no idea how much this video means to me right now. I’m turning 33 on Friday AND going to a wedding. I was crying because I felt like such a failure in life…just so stuck. At the beginning of this year I had the highest paying job I’ve ever had and I thought I was going to be moving in with my bf. He broke up with me in April and I decided to give up my career that was poppin (beauty publicist) and move out of NYC and back home with my parents. I was miserable in my career but it I held on for a long time because of the status attached. Now I’m trying to create my own business but the culmination of living with my parents, jobless, going to a wedding single on my birthday….I’m just feeling terrible and this helped me a lot. I am back with my mother at 26 years old sleeping on a twin bed after graduating uni. No career, no place of my own, no bf/ husband. But The father knows the desires of my heart and his will is perfect. ❤️
I've been sleeping on a twin bed at my parents house for the past 1.5 years and I'm almost 30! Life is unpredictable but that's part of what makes it great... you never know what's just around the corner. After feeling hopeless for months, I finally got a job and will be moving out again soon. Trusting that this is all part of God's plan.

When our plans and expectations doesn't become reality then we think there's a setback. However, God knows when the time is right and when we align our lives with the plan that God has for us then everything will start to make sense. It's never wise to lean on our own understanding and I learned that the hard way. God timing is right and it takes believing in the things we haven't seen with our bare eyes.
I cried so hard last year when my boyfriend of 4 years and I broke up before starting our traditional marriage and he moved on 1 month after our breakup. After the break up I decided to stop idolizing marriage and just focus on myself. I started living. I can say I currently stopped idolizing marriage, even when I met my current partner. Marriage wasn't the first thing on my mind. Fun was. And I'm definitely having so much fun. I'll see where it leads us. But I'm definitely not ready for kids and marriage 😂😂 ... I definitely want to live my life to the fullest now before committing to someone. My eyes are now open and I can see the severity of marriage. Me is going to turn into us and the kids. I'm definitely not ready for that😂😂😂 .
At 25 I use to say my career over everything else, I even had a heart to heart conversation with my mom about not getting married nor having kids because of how hard I was hustling trying to make it in the music industry. At 27 I felt InLove from nowhere with the love of my life, lol got married, had my first child at 28 the second at 29.. still no record deal. No matter all my plans,..
God gave me what I Needed.. to help me grow and eventually prepare me to achieve what I want. Thank you for reassuring me tonight to keep working hard on my dream and to be thankful for my journey so far.

A handful of my friends are getting married. I too thought that by my age that I would be married and with a soccer team. Hm yes I am 40 not married so many woman have passed the so call age of marriage but all I can say is live your life pleasing to God enjoy your life and God will send u that special one dont waste any more time looking because God never had the woman to look we are suppose to be found.
I'm 40 too not married and no kids. Thought I would have had a family by now. But God has bigger plans for me. So I'm trusting him. I also work with children Infant and toddler's. It's hard work and by the end of the day I'm so glad to go home and chill without all the responsibilities. I believe God knows the best timing for everything. 😊❤🙏🏾

I definitely wasn’t grown til at least 27. 29 was a really “coming of age” moment for me. I never desired being married. I’m mature to admit I don’t want the responsibility of marriage nor than the annoyance lol.

Congrats on the 600,000+ subs. I'm currently 25 and not where I want to be in life. For me, it's not about marriage but about success in my career. I felt as though I was never going to be successful when I had first turned 23 but I've come to realise that I need more time to grow and I'm not yet ready for what I want to do. 25 is so young and I am starting to learn to not obsess with being successful before I'm 30. Its hard but I'll never be happy if I do.
