Its not THIS generation, before women werent able to study or get a job with neither higher or even equal opportunities and income! This is the result of years of misoginy. Men were historically educated to have the superior role, that's why nowadays most of them don't have the emocional maturity to treat women as what they are, equal human beings! Anyways at a certaing age it's no longer an external issue and it's their responsability to get out of that comfy child mindset and make the inner work to treat women properly! Just as we women have to do a lot of self re-education to be able to recognice our own value and capacities.

I am actually getting a PhD right now and I feel like this video was for me lol My ex didn’t want me to get my master’s degree because I was “always looking for the next milestone.” He wanted me to settle for marriage and pop out kids WHILE HE GOT HIS MASTER’S DEGREE. Make it make sense 🥴 Anyhow, fast forward 2.5 years later, I got my master’s and I’m on to my third degree. Never let a man limit you ladies. Your goals aren’t the problem. Needed this video ! Was just told by my now ex boyfriend that one of the reasons he didn’t want to be with me anymore is because my job is demanding (I’m a lawyer) and he doesn’t want a woman who works a stressful job such that I won’t always have time to be the doting housewife. He is less educated and earns less than me but I never saw that as an issue in our relationship and I loved him nonetheless. I think it depends on what's really important for you. Having a family is much more important than having a career to me. And from my experience, I realized men don't care about my degrees, my lack of career... I used to be ashamed to go on dates because I had nothing great going on in my professional life but they really do not care about that. Men and women are not looking for the same things. If your career is really important to you, you should definitely find someone who respect that though. I just don't want women to miss out on having children, marriage if that's what they want because they think having a career, being ambitious is a quality a man is looking for. I was talking to my ex and he didnt understand why I went back to school. He was making jokes like how long I'm going back to school I'm to old .
I'm in my 30s and went back to school. I am proud of this decision. I remember some people trying to use that in an argument if I was a loser by doing so while they had no education and didn't speak foreign languages. I'm not judging that but it was weird move of them thinking that I was a loser for having real goals and ambitions while they literally did nothing about their own lives. You can't educate people about such things if they are empty personalities.

Thank YOU Breeny! My ex always made me feel like whatever I said had no substance to it, even when I was talking about things I was specialised in. He was annoyed by my ambitions, and tried to justify his cheating and taking another girl on trips by blaming ME for being busy with school and work. When in reality I made so much time for him. But hey, the joke is on him though, I’m getting my PhD in Sociology and he’s still lost in life.

It all boils down to knowing your worth! Something that I know but sometimes forget.
It's crazy because with as much of the things that I do ("Jack of all trades"), I know that I downplay myself around most of the people I know. Eventually it starts to ooze out and people start to catch on to the "spirit of excellence" God has put within me. It doesn't take me much effort to do all the things I do but I sadly realized that I always shy away from just being me (in my full capacity) to avoid jealousy or making THEM uncomfortable. But all it tends to bring is frustration. It's either that I'm limiting myself, or two, that I'm remaining within an environment which isn't aiming for better but satisfied with where it's at.
This, I needed this. I’ve been feeling so down about feeling like “too much” being a “boss” a lot of things with men has held me and my business back personally as well. I’ve had times where men told me I had too much masculine energy. I’ve had to DIM down my energy of being independent idk it’s been hard

My ex boyfriend would accuse me of looking down on men. I once told him you feeling inferior has nothing to do with me. When he and I met I owned a home. He and his parents rented a home. Nothing wrong with that. He struggled with jobs in the beginning of our relationship. A yr and a half later I was able to buy a 2nd home. He got so upset. He said why can't we just go live in an apartment until we can buy a house together? That didn't make sense to me. I said work on a down payment and we can buy a home together, in the mean time we can live in my home. No need to live in an apartment.
My last two relationships were like this, I saw it and ended both! I have just started seeing a new guy and he is my first partner who feels like a real man. I can't explain it but I feel the difference. Biggest lesson learned was trust your gut, I think our intuition always somehow knows best.... Loved this vid hehehe
I am a successful South African actress, very ambitious, I do the work mentally, emotionally and spiritually on myself and i am on my purpose. Some1 I was recently dating displayed 2 of the points that Miss B mentioned. "You're too good for me" and complimenting other women but not to an extreem scale but I don't understand men who openly compliment other womens appearance when they are with their partner it baffles me and I never react because I know what they are doing. I recently ended the relationship after a couple of months and baby boy is on the path of rising up as he is genuinly a good and sweet person but for me, when I put some1 in the position of being my partner, I expect alot. In a lot of cultures you find that being a wife is the ultimate prize, generally speaking boys/men are not pressured to be their best selves because their wife is the one who represents them. We live in a time where women can do almost anything for themselves but culture has not adjusted to that way of living. So when you see all these successful women who have degrees/Masters/PhD shes a problem, shes too educated, she cant be fooled and you cant put anything past her, especially if shes confident within herself and know herself its a problem to insecure men! Sometimes its not the man who is the problem but it’s HIS FAMILY, they dont want his wife to outshine him it’s embarrassing for them. The whole concept is crazy if you think about it, mothers need to stop coddling their sons and raising strong daughters; having a son is not the prize but raising a child to become the head of the family is.
Social constructs DO NOT adhere to reality. You can try to change the culture but you can never change the way man are biologically. Man have never and will never adjust to something that they are biologically not attracted to. Man have never looked at woman for what they have or provide. That is why a man will easily take a feminine submissive woman over an educated career driven woman. I see your point re intimidation - might not be the achievements but the way she comes across pr what the accolades represent eg less family time due to careers.
