- This is truly one of my favorite recipes growing up. Actually, it's my FIRST ever recipe I made when I was 12-13 years old. I used to make this for my sister at least ONCE a week. I guess this is where Broke Boyz Recipe started from! =)

2 cup - Water
300 - Rice cake
3-4 TBSP - Pepper Paste (Depending on your spice level)
2-3 TBSP - Sugar (Depending on your sweet level)
Broke Boyz Vegetables
1/4 TBSP - Ramen Pacakge

YEEEEEEEP
BROKE BOYS REPRESENT!!!
really enjoying your content bro keep up the vids
Thanks fam. We gon keep on coming ✌️
Tried this in Korea when I was stationed there. It really makes me want to try it with my own twist.
Gonna smoke the tteok and Ramen in mesquite, then add some of my smoked brisket. Maybe the gochujiang with some of the stock from smoking the brisket, too. Ooh... if anyone reading this doesn't think that sounds good, you're nuts. Haha.
Yoooo i cant wait to see you make it happen
I make mine with chili sauce and reduced sugar strawberry or grape jelly with cocktail meatballs. My daughter likes hers with a Mexican flare with steak slices
AYYYYYY that sounds gooooood!!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Mexican fuses REALLY well with Korean.
@@ChefChrisCho There's this one I've tried that's a couple times both in Korea and here in a couple different cities with different groups in the states that's a fusion of a Jeonnam regional specialty that I think would be a huge high end food truck hit because the ingredients are just a little unusual enough to be memorable and unique, but simple enough to remember, and just luxe enough to pay for. And it's fucking delicious. Only problem is I don't know the food industry at all. I don't even necessarily want to sell the idea, a part of the business or anything. I just want to give the idea to someone who can do something with it. Like years from now, on the long shot that it blows up, I want to be able to say, hey that was my idea and go to a big time chef's channel who gives me a shout-out.
And the verb that's a better overall conceptual match that you're looking for (IMO) is "to release" in the overall sense of the word in that "loosen" doesn't really make sense in this context and that “풀어” is almost always used to mean that something is being opened, freed or unconstricted or unbound whether that be a belt, hair, sauce, noodles, shoelaces, etc. IOW, released.
It did have me like “what, foreal though” lol it was bomb had it without fish cakes
Lol I wish I had a tub that big of chili paste 🌶 🌶 🌶 I literally make this every other week
SouthCenter in Tukwila WA is good place to get ingredients!
Great quality video! Such a different experience than your tiktoks hahaha, but man I love it! It’s so easy to follow. Gonna make this someday soon!!!
Thank you thank you! Appreciate your feedback
쉐프님 완전 팬이에요~^_^*
ㅋㅋㅋ 감사해요~ 🙏
Chris you are super 여보세요!!! You make me proud to be Korean
I like your tik tok videos better. Straight to the point and they repeat every 15 seconds so I don’t miss any step!

Me eating rabokki while watch a video for rabokki: “I think I made that before.”
Yo thats 🔥!!!
So I didn't have pepper paste so I used 2 Tbsp chili garlic sauce. Maaaan, it was good!
best asia philly chef stamp

This video really just the best. I’m definitely making this with my bf
Just went pick items up and here we are 😀
More of these videos preeeeeeease.
Definitely trying this!! Love your tiktok
How many calories would one serving be?
Can you add less of the pepper paste and what kind of veggies can you add to it I normally see mozzarella cheese on it right
Looks awesome .. gotta subscribe to the homie!!💪💪
Thanks for the sub brotha 🙏
Is that track by Jones Jnr? If not, listen to Roses by them.
Bro thank you for uploading .
Thank YOU for watching
@@ChefChrisCho you make it real easy to learn how to cook some of these dishes. Hope that you keep the videos coming . Especially them broke boyz meals
can we also use instant seafood ramen instead?
🤔 never tried that but sounds like it might work.
🥰🔥
I need tteooboki
yo dud keep up the good work!!!
Broke boyz recipe! 😂😂😂
Haha ALLLLLLLDAY
What's the best brand of gochujang paste to use?
The cucumbers are one of my fav panchan! Any Naeng Ramyun recipes?
Truly one of the bests korean recipes. The true broke-boy dok bok gi has hotdogs, maybe onions. Literally any meat can be used, including that black-market favorite, spam. At least it was in the mid-1980s. Age give away. Spent 4 years in Korea. Some of my best memories. ALSO, this pepper paste on BBQ PORK... Astro... quality YUM!. Good job !!
I'll try this but with less gochujang.
I don't wanna die
Do you add the rice cake
straight from the freezer or room temp?
Room temperature just soak it in water
Are the tteoks already cooked or just thawed? Thanks!
so me and my friend decided to make tteokbokki, and we used a thick skillet... idk if it was the skillet or the temperature but our tteokbokki ended up being very and I mean VERY sticky. So uhm, you tell me what went wrong here 😂😭
Kaka try not to overcook it. Maybe 5 mins max on high heat??
you overcooked it.
Can you use store bought tteokbokki sauce as an alternative for the sauce?
한국어 풀 방송 보고싶어요
한국어로 한번 해볼까요?? 놀리기 없기 ㅋㅋㅋ
Do you normally buy the rice cakes?
Maybe one day see a Sun dae and SoJu episode!
Do I use less water if I have fresh rice cakes?
Can I make gochujang/pepper paste myself? Like whats the ingredients?
What heat do you cook this at?
Lmao Im 5 months late but Chef Chris it looks fire! A fried egg can also pair really well with RaBokki.
Put oil on the spoon the gochu will slip right off
Would any kind of Ramen work?
Works best with shin ramen but other ramen work too. Add a bit of soy sauce if it lacks flavor ✌️
Can you replace fishcake with anything else? I can't find 😫😩fish cake...
Om Ah Houm
bibimbap sauce next time pls.
Aiiiiiiite bet
I made tteokbokki and it turned out good, but it was sticky. (I did follow the video) What did I do wrong?
Just make sure not to overcook it next time. 5 mins top on high heat??
Chef Chris Cho I did cook it on medium high heat. So, was it was the temperature that made it sticky?
Dem i so wanna it this but I fear it is spicy...😭😭
same but i just add a ton of cheese
betchtable
What happened to the 1 more time babe
Next time 🤪
아....... 배고파
FYI..5TB of Gochujang on 2 Cups of water is too spicy for an ordinary person.
.
This could've been a shorter video.
1. talk too much
2. tries too hard to appeal to the "woke" crowd by using their language and gestures
3. talk too much
Fuck off that video was great
