I sold out of the New Earth charm packs but I do have Delilah charm packs still in the shop and trust me they are gorgeous!

Thank you I am particularly looking for bride and Deep Purple with teal and a packet of tail with purple. Thank you
Thanks for not editing out the "oops" moments. And for timing the quilt making. So much more realistic expectations. Cute fabric.
Glad you enjoyed it! It is so hard to tell how something will actually take when tutorials are sped up. I thought it would be something fun and different.
Love the quilt. I love that it is a quick one and easy. I definitely want to try it.
Watching you correct your mistakes makes me so happy. Whenever I make mistakes in the future I will remember this video and go forward and try to salvage my piecing. Thank you. 😊
I love this quilt and the way you acknowledge real life. ❤ Makes the whole process so much more accessible to amateurs like me!😊
I live in Kentucky ,in Amish country and there is a HWI hardware store that had a fabric department, bolt fabric and everyevery thing for sewing.
Fallon, I love it. Didn't look that way until it was all together and it is so charming, (charm-ing) Thanks for doing this. We sometimes get stuck in our heads what can and can not work out. Just gotta go for it.
I like the tip about backstitching the outside in case I don't quilt it right away. I love that you didn't stop the clock, it's more realistic. I'm glad you kept the uh-oh moment in. The fabric is great and I may actually do this one.
Thank you so much! It was fun for me to see how long it would take too.
Adding this to 1 of my toppers I want to make! The tiny foopah is nothing but so glad you showed how easy of a fix it was. ❤
Thank you Darla!
I like that you just chain pieced all the squares together--learned a new trick!
I have 2 charm packs waiting to be used! Yeah!
Happy sewing!
Fallon, I do like it! And I will probably make at least one. Many thanks!
I always say, "drop back and PUNT!" Thanks for showing how you readjusted on the fly!
Great idea! I plan to make this with charm squares that I just purchased. I was thinking that if the 2.5” squares were instead cut to 2.5” x 5”, they could be sewn on to the end before cutting the strips in half. It might save a bit of time and effort.
I love this quilt I have so many charms that I inherited can’t wait to take to my quilt retreat next week thank u
I love it. I will try.
That's fantastic to hear! I'm glad you're motivated to give it a try.
This is a very pretty, very quick sew!
I think if each row of 10 began with a 2.5x5" half charm, you could cut and flip and still have your offset without dealing with all of those little 2.5" squares.
Thank you for all of the great content!
Great idea! I agree that would be easier!
Love this fabric, you're sold out in your shop.
I love to watch something so novel...what a unique idea.
I decided to see how long it would take me with a layer cake! It took me just about 2 hours. I did cut my LC squares in half first. 😅 my LC version came out 52 x 67! A perfectly sized throw. Thanks for the inspiration!!!!
That is a great size throw! It really was fun to see exactly how long it takes. I might time finishing this one up too.
I'm so glad to see that you did do one with a layer cake! That was my first thought after seeing this. Glad to know the size it came out!!!
Ok, got up this morning, cyphered this out! Thought it was 5 blocks wide (plus the 4 1/2" finished block)-which came up to 52" by 7 rows-cut in half making it 14 rows-which would technically be 4.5" x 14-but that's only 63". What am I cyphering wrong?? LOL Thanks for any input 😊😊
It's a wonderful thing to not spend a lot of time sewing blocks in particularly when you're stressed and don't want to stress anymore just relaxing and fun project. But I am more interested in perfection. Not slapping things together. In the long run you'll have a prettier quilt and well done.. quality and not so much quantity🙂
I have projects that I spend more time on as well. It just depends on the mood I am in when I sit down to sew… that dictates what project I pull out to work on.
I definitely will make this quick and easy quilt. Love working with my charm squares!!!
I love charm squares as well! They are such a good way to get a nice mix of fabric.
Super cute quilt top. Thanks for sharing!!!
You are so welcome!
I like the brick pattern. I'm thinking of using 10" squares cut in half for a bigger quilt. Thank you for the video 😊👍 💕
Oh that will work great! Happy sewing!
I made one similar to yours except I put 2.5 inch white squares in between each 2.5x5 inch rectangle. I wasn’t thinking(and I know better) but I starched mine, bad idea because it didn’t turn out all the same length and I had to take part of it apart and add to it so I didn’t have to cut off quite as much on the ends to make it even. I was so mad, but I made it work. I did 30 rows and put a 3 inch white border around it. It looks cute.😊
How many did you do across? 30?
Yes, I can make this! Yay! Thank you, Fallon. 😊
You’re welcome!
I absolutely plan to make this quilt! Thank you so much for sharing all of your patterns. I have loved coming across your channel and how real you are.
Thank you so much!
I have many charm packs from my Sew Sampler boxes and this would be a great way to use them.
I have a few too!
What a great idea. I have a huge amount of charms.
Absolutely love your honesty, good nature and resilience…
I appreciate that!
Very cute. For an even faster quilt you could cut half your squares. Then sew 1 full square row, one half square row. This one would have less seams and be a bit larger. Thanks for sharing and be blessed.
Nice quilt. It was really quick for a whole top. Thanks.
You’re welcome ☺️
Cute cute
Just found you and I love you! I’m going to adjust my pattern for my bathroom curtains to this idea! TYSM ❤
Oh this idea would look amazing as a curtain!
That was excellent thanks Fallon❤️🇦🇺

Very cute quilt anyone can make. Thanks!

I love it! Gonna see if I can apply it to my small quilt in progress. I already have some sashing between the squares, but it might look good. I’ll see!!
That will be great if it works out! Happy sewing.
It's really pretty Fallon 😍 I love doing that pattern. It's quick and easy. Thanks for sharing. ❤

Great tutorial, being “real” is always refreshing. Add your design and personality makes for a perfectly relaxing experience. Will definitely be making this quilt!
Thank you so much!
What a cute idea. Love love love. Going to do this today.
I have some charms coming that I think I will do this and add a border
I think I may add a border too. It is a nice little baby blanket right now but I think it would be great as a lap quilt.
So cute! Can’t wait to try it! Thank you! Nana in Oklahoma. >^.^
I love it. Thanks for sharing.
Happy sewing!
I want to see the granny square quilt on your chair… it looks beautiful ❤
My mom made the quilt! I shared it on my channel!

Can you do this with cake layers the 10 inch squares???
Thanks for sharing! Love it!

You’re welcome 😊
That’s really neat
Thank you Esther ❤️🧵
Love this... Charms are the best... welcome any new ideas!
Love this quilt pattern and fabrics. ❤😊
Very pretty!
Thank you
So cute
Thank you.
Cute. Thank you.
Happy sewing!
Came out beautiful
So, to save cutting! Instead you could cut the 5” square in half and sew the 2.5” piece to the end as you are chain piecing. ThEN when you cut the 5” strips in half the end piece is a 2.5” square. 😀
Genius idea!
Beautiful
Thank you!
Love it! Thanks Fallon😀 Great idea and so well explained. Very clever. 💕🇦🇺
Fun!
It did come out very pretty!
This is just what i'm looking for... i have some JollyBars that will be cut in half TODAY!!!
This is just what I wanted. Thank you!
Cute quick quilt. I'll make one soon...
❤ Love this quilt! I've been looking for something quick, that helps with the # of charm packs I have at hand!😊
Nice that your taking your time to explain,, am interested on the Quilt you have on your chair. Do you have a video on it?
I think the one that you felt was wrong looks twisted on the right hand side so may have slipped while stitching.. unless it’s the cutting . Haha.do not worry it just goes to show even experienced sewers, still have problems, makes the new folk go,sewing feel a bit better. Haha. Really like what you have done thank you for sharing.
Like this pattern.
Very cute quit. ❤
Thank you! 😊
Love it
Thank you Jody!
Did you say what size this will be? I love the idea. So fast and really cute.
Don’t have charm packs but great idea for my jelly rolls!
I think when I make this I will use 1 full charm pack of prints, 1 full charm pack worth of solid/tonals (not all the same color) and find enough coordinating solo charms (these are the biggest stack in my scraps so far) so I can fudge it enough to not have a solid 2-1/2” square on either end. Maybe.
I’m not against solids on the ends except that when I look at quilt tops I’ve laid out, my eye goes right to them. Not in other people’s quilts. It is strange. I think I need to get over it and just finish a freaking quilt, LOL.
This is a great project, Fallon! It’s easy enough for a beginner yet looks harder than it is. More advanced folks can just use it as a relaxing in-between project breather if doing heavy piecing most of the time.
To save a little time, you could sew two rows together and then while they are RST, cut them in half, measuring from the stitched side. Then, you interchange them with others. I hope this makes sense.
Good tip.
This is a great idea! Combine it with my idea of half charms at the beginning of each row. Sew down BOTH sides of two rows (with one flipped, offset) THEN cut down the middle.
Thank you for this wonderful pattern. Your math was right, but you need to assemble the top differently. I put mine together - eight rows of charm pack fabric - each row having ten (you showed ten rows having 8 a piece). Then when I cut my rows in half, that gave me 16 rows, not twenty. The quilt might be perpendicular to the one you demonstrated, but I only needed the 4 remaining fabrics cut into 2.5" starter squares to shape the bricks, and didn't have to look in my stash for one more 5" square. Love this pattern. Thanks!
That turned out cute. Thanks
I love this! I found a sticker today that says “Pretty girls don’t do math” lol
I have some of that fabric in yardage. I’m going to make this soon! So pretty 💜
Love it!! That’s so funny!
@@sewbeitquilts I thought so too! Happy Thursday 💜
❤❤❤❤
Thanks for watching!
Thank you
You’re welcome! Happy sewing!
👍🏼
😊i want two delish packs
Before slicing your rows in half, you could have added a 2.5 x 5 inch piece to one end and then slice them in half saving a step. When you flip them over, you would still have a good mix. Just a thought.
Thank you
Seems easy enough! And helps me break in to all those charm squares I’ve been holding on to.
But I do have a question for you. If I make HSTs out of charm packs do I need a 5” or a 4 1/2 trim lock tool?
You would want the 4.5” trimlock tool.
You will love using this idea for your charm squares!
Oh, i forgot i had these! Needed to decide what to do with them. 4x4 charm pack. Thank you. Brenda sent me from Conquering Mt. Scrapmore!
So nice of Brenda to share my channel!
You could cut the extra charm squares in half only once and sew to the end of the 5" strips. Then cut the whole strip lengthwise. A little step that will save a little time.
To make a completely different look cut half of your end 5 in. Square in half and sew it to the other end of your row
Wouldn't it be simpler to cut your end pieces 5"x 2.5" and sew them on the ends BEFORE you cut the rows in half?
I thought about it but since the 2.5” squares are only on one side of the strip all of the leftovers would just go into the scrap pile. I was trying to find a way to have minimal scraps but use up as much of the charm pack as possible.
@@sewbeitquilts but you'd be cutting up the same 5" square, only into 2 pieces instead of 4?
❤
Instead of cutting 2.5 inch squares, cut 2.5 x 5 and add to 5 inch square when you put the 5 in squares together and then cut the row. Cute quilt
The one you trimmed was sideways but the one in the other set was not. 😊
Sometimes I’m just not perfect ❤️
Sometimes I open mouth insert my foot. Sorry I stated the obvious. You always have it under control.i look forward to learning.
