  • Here we have a full stripdown guide of a Aygo / C1 / 107 dashboard, to fix an Immobilizer fault - originally it was supposed to be a diagnosis guide for the typical B2799 / B2795 fault code which will either be a wiring fault between the Immo unit & ECU, as it transpires on our first scan it became apparent we actually had a non communicating immobilizer (Fault code A799). If you have an immobilizer fault on one of these & need to know how to remove the dashboard & find the location of the immobilizer unit to get it repaired watch this, it will make life much easier! - to remove the dash takes under 30 minutes when you know how!!

    May have to add if anyone else sees the video if you change the key case make sure you take the immobiliser chip transferred to the new case otherwise the car will not start. Thank you so much for the info on the video.

      Yes, indeed! Many DIY’ers often have no idea there is a transponder in the case & so exactly this!

    Hi, Citroen C1 2006, B2799 fault code when scanning under Aygo.
    Car was left unused for months so totally flat battery.
    Recharged without disconnecting battery.
    IMMO recognises keys, but IMMO not synced with ECU.
    I'm guessing IMMO got scrambled by the recharge, can it be cloned/fixed?

    • @JC-ECUConnection
      @JC-ECUConnection  Рік тому +1

      Yes, this could be scrambled data, first try the re-synch process, if this is not successful then send the Immo & keys to us for checking & file repair - follow the link in the description to our service page….

      Hi, thank you for your comment.. No, I’m afraid this will not work your keys will not be registered to the secondhand Immo, we can either clone your Immo if you have the old unit (providing the data is not corrupted) or virginise the replacement Immo and add your key data to it (or make new key transponders) & then it can be adapted to your ECU using the bridge wire, (This method is used when the original Immo data is corrupted or Immo has been lost) for more information visit: www.ecuconnection.co.uk - we dispatch to all European countries & the UK

      @ECU Connection UK (By JCcars) sorry to but in ..a friend has same issue and his stopped running after the horn started sounding at 6 am ..spark at cylinder 1 but not the others ruled out ignition coils. New plugs etc. New battery . Checked earth's I can see.....immobiliser I'd have said is the issue but how can we be sure ? Could be wasting money. No codes stored here either

      Hi, an immobiliser issue would generally leave fault codes in the ECU & immobiliser module - although not always as shown here in the video, make sure you have comms with the immobiliser unit & go on from there..

      What's indicating a possible fault with those is, when turning over the rev needle don't move . There shouod be movement when turning over

    Thanks for the video. My C1 has an immobiliser fault and the engine will crank just fine but it won't fire up at all, even for just a second or so. Do I have it correct that I'd need to send you the immobiliser to be virginised and then I can reinstall it and use a jumper to resync the key and all will be fine? Thanks.

    • @JC-ECUConnection
      @JC-ECUConnection  Рік тому

      Hi, there is a few very similar faults - firstly you will need to check continuity in the wiring between the Immo & ECU, also check for comms with the Immo - if you have no comms with Immo then you will need to replace the Immo unit, we can clone a replacement - if all the wiring is correct & you have comms with the Immo then the data may be corrupt, we can correct this - please click on the links in the video description to our website for further info.

      @@JC-ECUConnection Thank you, I thought I responded to this comment a while ago but it appears not. If I were to send you the original immobaliser and a donor immobaliser, would you theoretically be able to clone the old one onto the new one and then virginise the new one ready to be resync to the keys? I only have an old diagnostic tool and it won't tell me the actual fault code. Cheers.

    I have a question. I have bought an original central locking kit for my Peugeot 107. I want to build it in. But where can I find te module central locking box? Where is it places in the car? It looks exactly the same as the box in this video. And the key that i got with the kit is from another car than the central locking box that i got with the kit. How can I connect those too. Sorry for my english, im from Holland.

      Hi, the central locking module, if fitted to your vehicle is located under the dashboard on the drivers side approximately above your shins would be if you were seated in the car (This is for UK Right hand drive cars) I am not sure if this is the same for LHD

      @@C170784 Sorry we get floods of calls with people wanting me to diagnose cars over the phone, it’s really difficult personally handle the calls, to check for parasitic drain you will need a multimeter & check the amps being drawn at the battery & then systematically remove fuses to see which circuits are causing the drain, there should be lots of UA-cam videos showing how.. Double check the comms with immo unit & go from there…
