so many makers say something like oil never has to be changed as will last the life of the vehicle etc etc. my Victa lawn mower instructions say the engine oil lasts the life of the engine, yeah, right if life is 2 years. changed it the other day and the old stuff looked like $hite. worst I've ever seen after decades working as a spanner man
Bosch freely admits corrosion from moisture or wear from contaminants causes rough idling [ different to cylinder miss fire ] , higher than normal fuel usage ,, poor responsiveness typically less power . Not always easy to diagnose but reality is evidence eventually comes up . Injector Off car machine test / cylinder compressions etc etc
My 2010 hilux has original injectors and 96k km..no plans to replace them as it runs beautifully. I'll keep u posted if I ever have problems with whatever
First. I’ve got a 2006 1KD vx prado. One owner never been off road 270.000 no issues has been religiously serviced by ME using only the best oil filters ect. I use injector cleaner on a regular basis the car blows no smoke and is running fine. Zero oil leaks. I would say the injectors are original. Do I replace them is the question.

Too late when you get a cracked piston-though I’m not convinced it’s purely due to faulty/worn injectors. What are the injector feedback etc specs like on the diagnostic tool? Still, don’t risk engine damage. I got mine replaced at huge cost and inconvenience. It broke down $2000 tow job from home. Thank Christ we had top level RACQ membership. It paid for itself 10 times over.

Injector life is 7 years or 170k whichever comes first, so you do the maths......n get em out now.
