It is a 45 degree slope, some go with a harness, some without. I went without and was fine. The boards every 10 feet or so are helpful resting points as well.
Do not use harness. It gives u more trouble than worth it. Rather get in shape. That is the big elephant in the room: people overweight and out of shape will have a very hard time and since they are in their red zone due to being unfit they make easier mistakes or are more probable to collapse and that is a problem if it happens on the ascent to Half Dome or Subdome.
Well yeah, obviously. Our moving time was 6:15. We spent a total of around 10 hrs out there, 6:15 is moving time. Perhaps I should’ve put that in the video, good catch!
GoPro clarity is amazing!
Such a beautiful presentation my friend. Place looks great!
How steep is the way up? Is a climbing harness recommended?

No way you do the whole hike in just 6:15 hours, esp. when you walk back over John Muir trail. Fast hikers do it in 9-10 hours.
