Oh boy, I've dated someone like that for a brief time, like a little over a month, and the constant ups and downs, and the ability to pull you right back in was very frightening. I too, was fooled by that "yes, you are right, Ill be better" talks, because he was getting unreasonably angry when we fought, always blamed me and was straight up threatening me, so it was a relief when I started to pull away and all of a sudden he was understanding. Luckily I've realised early on that this was a toxic cycle that will never stop and broke up and blocked him everywhere. I wish her the best and hopefully she divorces him but the way she empathizes with him tells another story....

As a person who has been in several deeply abusive relationships and also as a person who has been on the other side witnessing my friends go through relationship abuse, AND as a person who’s now in an incredibly wonderful relationship for the past 10+ years, I hearing her say that her husband was “shocked” at “hearing himself” (because physically hearing your self is extremely different from being able to reflect on the permanent writing texts you sent and reread them? I don’t really know but OK) and it was a “wake up call” for him sounds like one of the most disingenuous things ever and tbh I am really scared for her still and I didn’t know if I accent believe that she is actually in control anything at this point, still. Oh boy, I've dated someone like that for a brief time, like a little over a month, and the constant ups and downs, and the ability to pull you right back in was very frightening. I too, was fooled by that "yes, you are right, Ill be better" talks, because he was getting unreasonably angry when we fought, always blamed me and was straight up threatening me, so it was a relief when I started to pull away and all of a sudden he was understanding. Luckily I've realised early on that this was a toxic cycle that will never stop and broke up and blocked him everywhere. I wish her the best and hopefully she divorces him but the way she empathizes with him tells another story....
I had this best friend from high school who always had a crush on me
we reconnected late last year, she's been with the guy shes with now for 12 years and has a 6 year old with him but she would tell me how mentally and sometimes verbally abusive and controlling he could be
we eventually ended up getting romantically involved for 6 months until she threatened to finally leave him, i hadn't heard from her in a few weeks until she told me that she was going to stay where she is with him because of their child and because he told her that she was selfish for throwing away their family for her own personal happiness

Also abusive relationships are a little bit more complex than you’re making it out to seem especially when you mention the situation regarding the cops showing up. There’s a thing in some abusive relationships where even though the other partner is abusive the victim still goes back to them.

If I was Amouranth, I'd yeet off as far away from him as I could. Having some experience in both psychiatry and GP, I've dealt with enough psychopaths and people working with psychopaths to learn that some people you just have to stay clear of, never give them the second chance once they show you their actual face. I don't really care about Amouranth, I've never watched her streams more than a minute just to see what kind of cheap way she's baiting her viewers for money (but honestly I'm impressed at how well she's doing for herself, she's by far more successful in life than I'll ever be, so kudos to her!), but that clip with the phonecall sent shivers down my spine, thinking there would probably be some article in the next couple days about her being killed by a psychotic husband. Time will show if she gets sucked back into his manipulative ways, or if she manages to distance herself from him.
