Best discworld reading order is publication order. However, Guards Guards and Mort will definitely sell you on the series! Almost done with Priest of Lies, great read! Trying to find out the wordcount for Priest of Bones, can't be more than 40k words, blazed through it!

I read books 3 and 4 of the expanse. I thought I'd hate book 4 since it was the weakest season of the show, but I honestly enjoyed it, surprise for me. I loved the interactions between Holden and Amos, that found family trope works for me. I started book 5 over the weekend. That's pretty much my tbr for the rest of this year, I fell behind with one of the short stories before book 3 and didn't read anything for like a month and a half which pushed my 1 book a month schedule behind, so little bit of playing catchup. I read slow and like 2 chapters a time during the week, so yeah, should be interesting to see if I get back on track by July.
I read all 6 Dungeon Crawler Carl books and loved it! Book 5 or 6 are my favorite of the bunch. I started A Game Of Thrones and I think the ending of the show has finally receded enough from my memory that I can enjoy the books. I tried picking up the books previously and the ending of the show just ruined the characters for me. George is such a good writer. I'm blown away by a lot lines and I forget that sometimes. The chapter when Jon and Tyrion meet for the first time and the " and for just a moment, Tyrion Lannister stood as tall as a king" line that ended the chapter was perfect I almost teared up.
I read 7 books in May. The best ones were Stones of Light by Zach Argyle and The Trouble with Peace. I gave both 5 stars. The next best was The Kings Blood by Daniel Abraham, Murder at Spindle Manor by Morgan Stang, and Monster Hunter Vendetta by Larry Correia. I also read a Firefly novel called Carnival. Those are always fun. I miss Firefly.

My issue with silverblood promise was about how many strong female characters this guy gonna put in ... nothing against female characters but sheeesh, i felt like a feminist wrote this.. even the head of the mob was female, just took me out of it..balance is key! loved lukan an flea tho!
I know you’re going to be tempted to read “Guards Guards”, but can you read Equal Rites first? I really think it’s going to pay off for you if you read them in chronological order
Guards Guards, Mort and Equal Rites are 3 of the best starting places, so it's fairly definite you'll continue after - one's bound to hook you. I agree about Silverblood Promise, it was very promising but also it's own thing. Don't think anyone's surprised to see King take BOTM, ha. Mine was James Islington's The Will of the Many!
I am glad that your favorite book of the month is a short story collection. It's a very tough genre to write well in. Maybe you getting hacked happened to make you not worry so much about subscibers and your channel popularity.
Hi Mike, glad you are continuing with Discworld. I was into the series from it's beginning so I had no choice but to read them in publication order and I enjoyed each and every one. That way you get the feel for the progression in Pratchett's writing. May's reading was excellent for me, with my first 5 star book of this year and possible/probable book of the year also. I read 4 books: Into The Wild - Jon Krakauer Morning Star - Pierce Brown One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest - Ken Kesey The Easy Life in Kamusari - Shion Miura and 2 comic books: Judge Dredd - The Complete Case Files 35 Judge Dredd - The Complete Case Files 36 My book of the month and 5 Star read was: One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. It is amazing, a must read for everyone.

One surprising thing about Discworld is as much as I love what Pratchett is riffing on in each book, it's really about the characters. I love checking in with the night watch, witches, wizards, Rincewind, Death & CMOT Dibbler.
Ship of Magic, We are The Dead & Wyrd Sisters!!! All 5 stars for me and Ship of Magic is in my top 10! Forget Farseer, Liveship is on the level of greatness, and I do love Kennit’s machinations, he tricked me too!! Boy put Kennit, Chade, Cersei, Little Finger, Farda , and Calidus in the same room together. We are the Dead was the nicest surprise, it felt fresh in its storytelling!!

The distinction between few and several is pretty mutable lol. I use few for 3-5, and several for 6-11.
