- This game is pure masterpiece. Many years of playing and I'm still here. But maybe not for long? The game in my opinion is getting worse with every update. I don't know if it's me, but everything seems like it doesn't belong in the game anymore. New updates are not as exciting as before and community seems WAY more toxic, leading to outsiders seeing game as childish and stuff. I feel like until beta 1.8 minecraft was on the right track. But now... Anyways express your opinion in the comments.

I remember the days I came home from school and turned on my PlayStation 3, and started playing Minecraft. The old music brings back memories. Minecraft wasn't just a game, it was therapy for me. After my mother passed away this game came through to me as something that made me feel full and happy again. Knowing I can explore and build inside a world possibly never seen by any other person. Hearing the music makes the memories flood back and tears reach my eyes as I see how much I have grown within the years. People say Gaming is useless, and negative to the brain, but I say gaming can be very healthy... I miss the old days when I had no responsibility, when I'd just play Minecraft for hours....
The good thing about minecraft is that the game only gets better. You can explore new versions or just stick on the others. Everyone just has one feeling while playing this game. Happyness.

I remember the herobrine thing. When I found out about it I was so scared I quit the game for a whole month. Then one of my classmates from way back when said he encountered Herobrine and showed us proof. Turned out it was just a mod, but it still scared me. 😂
Nicolas B Dude, I did too. I remember when Multiplayer was out on Pocket Edition. Me and my Cousin played, made a wooden house. Then we saw “Herobrine joined the game” I don’t remember. But once we saw him he had a diamond sword, we found his home. (Pyramid in the middle of a lake in the desert, it had lava and a bed. So we decided to break it.
Once that happened, me and my cousin went back home, and the leaves off the trees were gone. We were scared. We then went to go see if my cousins older brother was trolling us, but I guess he hid his phone making us think he didn’t do it. Once after that, we went back to our wooden house all scared, we even made an escape pathway in our house. I loved how creative me and my cousin was back then. 😪😪

my first house was in a small little valley. Very tiny really, was just in between two hills that really kinda surrounded it. It was a two story cobblestone building. just a rectangle, but I remember it so vividly. My sister had a tiny cave where she had a window and a cake that I remember she worked so hard on getting...

I just want to live in 2011 forever building mansions at 6am with my best friends in our iPods.
The first game I ever stayed up playing was in 2009 with Roblox and, later, Minecraft.
All I want is to be able to stay up late, but nowadays i feel so worked out that staying up past 1am feels more like a chore then anything else.
If I could rewind time, I'd go back to 2012 and play Minecraft, make funny cat ninjas in Oblivion, and watch yogscast or PewDiePie.

The year is 2011. You boot up your old HP laptop and pull up Windows 7. The loud fan starts spinning as you hear it blast air into your system. It's 9:30, and your parents are finally sleeping so you can play. You double-click on the crafting table in the corner of your screen and your cursor turns to a laggy blue circle. The small window pops up and you see the Mojang logo appears. The window turns white and the tab says not responding. You don't worry. The error goes away and it brings you to the home screen with the yellow splash texts changing sizes next to the title. "MINECRAFT" it says in huge blocky letters. You don't press anything, you just stare for a while. Once you come back to your senses, you click on the multiplayer button on accident. You see your dad left his game open, as he has a LAN server left open since you played with him earlier that day. You click back onto single player and select your favorite world, where you built your own village. The screen turns brown with dirt as the game loads. You appear floating above a void, but the chunks slowly load in. Once you're in, you hear white noise start playing. It sounds like the start of a record. Suddenly, the first beat of Sweden plays. You put on headphones and listen to the music, thinking about how peaceful it sounds.

You're lying in bed at 1 in the morning watching UA-cam. You look through your recommended and see a video about Minecraft. You decide to click on it out of curiosity. You open it up and scroll to the comments immediately. Right as you start reading a nostalgic comment, the first beat of the song in the video hits you like a truck. Tears well up in your eyes as you look at the amazing adventures everyone had and think, "Damn, life was good. I'd die to go back to the Minecraft days."

Things were simpler back in the day and not a lot of things we have today in the game was in it this forced us to widen our imagination which can be best described as playing an old video game it might not be as advanced as today’s games are but that was where it was at back in the day
But it’s not the same. Minecraft is no longer the good ol’ minecraft

The sandbox genre was a great innovation. Even if fewer people play Minecraft today, it is not dead, it is and will remain alive in our hearts. We will never forget the good times we had on this game. Besides, nothing prevents us from playing it again. Minecraft PE Lite. Yes, the free version (i got the full one soom enough though). All i did was break a piece of sand (spawned on a beach) and tap again, placing sandstone. Sadly, thats all i did. Was such a dumb*** at the time so i had to go to school i believe. Next time i found myself in third person in a raised platform of wood punching zombies from long range (i was a coward and was somehow afraid of zombies) holding a TORCH hoping they would burn. Soon i bridged to a mountain and caved a nice room, using blocks to represent crafting tables, etc. and "mined" the ores (items dont drop) and eventually heard a zombie inside with me. Got scared so much and covered myself in cobblestone. Closed the game and never seeing my first ever experience ever again. (it was pointless though, only thing of interest was a failed zombie grinder, just a 5x3 room, one hole window and made it dark as possible. guess what? Never worked.)
My first version was 1.8.1 but it's very close to the Beta or Alpha (forgot which one is first.)

I remember coming home in Grade 11 and going to my friends house to play Minecraft on this crappy old desktop. We'd take turns playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Minecraft since Minecraft was single player only.
Then we got moved to different places in grade 12. It came out on Xbox so I took a train down to his place to spend March break playing it constantly when he wasn't at work. We did that a few other times.
Eventually he got a new Xbox 360 and was throwing out his old one due to a short. I was over so his dad (airplane mechanic) fixed it as a surprise and gave it to me. For the next year, we played every night online (I was in college).
Now though, we barely speak because he's posted 14 hours away and has a fiancé.

I ran into the cobble stone hut and watched out the scratched glass window texture mojang had given us.
