Once again you make diagnosis and corrective action so simple 👊
Aye, see the guys a window cleaner, going around the doors, small runs stop and start driving. Doesn’t do any modern diesel any good.
Great fix once again 👌🏻
just picked mine up today same slit boost hose just under 30,000 miles (19 plate) fortunately i had taken the extended warranty probably wont be as lucky in another 30,000 miles
Another great video Jimmy - thanks for your hard work.
My pleasure!
Well done in getting to the bottom of the problem. Ford should be recalling vehicles for that fix, but I very much doubt they will given my own experiences with them...
Was that van not still under the manufacturers guarantee? Great fix by yourself as ever.
Love your vids, I've had endless probs with mechanics and my connect dpf - wish you were in Scotland!
Ford transit whisperer 🔥🐐
All those having DPF and NOX sensors issues stop using cheap diesel
I’ve been using shell V power diesel and all the issues gone no engine check light now 👌
Hi Jimmy, It’s always good to see your videos, my transit connect 2018 (68) plate has now thrown the same error, exhaust filter over limit, but this was within driving two miles after adding 300ml of liquid moly ceratec to the engine,
I was wondering if this would be a case of driving the van for a duration to force regen, or is this error something only an adequate scanning tool can clear, before a DPF regen can be completed.
I had a forced regen carried out last October, and the turbo inlet pipe replaced.
Van has been rattling since February, and despite 3 injectors being replaced, rattle returns after 100 miles.
What diagnostic machine do you use in this movie , i love your films.
You makr it so easy. One for algorithms
Thank you for your help much appreciated.
Well done Jimmy
what about the O-ring on the intake?
Needs to be ordered
I've done 3 this week
I think that is very effective.
I find it hard to believe how crap dpf,s are. And I miss the young lady blowing me a kiss from the end of your videos 😊
Me too!!
Jim what type of cost is this service to clean and reset the def
Gonna guess before video finishes
What is a rough cost for this on a connect ?
Do you know if I can do the Ford connect value reset on a Autel MaxiDas 808 ? Also what settings will it be ? Would it be special functions ?
Old connect yes new might not
I had my DPF replaced, do drives of around 45+ minutes - 2 hour motorway drives and it’s still blocked again!! Ffs
anyone know a good manual pressure vessel to pump dpf fluid in i dont have a compressor
No. Buy a compressor
can I use a garden sprayer?😃😃😃
nice easy one
Thank you! Cheers!

Clean it... reset it
All of those problems under 30k miles ? And it sound really agricultural. Ford went really bad since the PSA engine era...
We had a 2.5di banana transit , 300k miles. Engine fine, bodywork fell off in the end.. bring back those days!
sounds like tractor, got a 2017 connect tdci with 150000, doubt this one will last that long, if it does, wait til the cam belt needs changing, it'll be cheaper to scrap the thing, timing belt probably in oil, most mechanics wont touch it, only the main stealer will be interested at about £2500-£3000
@@craigthevyou’d be surprised. This engine is the same as the one in your connect (same PSA derived block). Main difference is these have a 16v head to meet tougher emissions standards at the cost of reliability. The 8v engine was used in transit connects up until about 2020 and is much less problematic and more refined. Still has the usual dry cam belt though
The psa engine is absolutely brilliant engine the 8v atleast, the last generation before the adblue stuff with general maintenance will go 200-300k regularly. Ford seemingly on the euro 6 diesel are using I believe their own dpfs and having massive issues with them all on their diesels engines. The psa versions of the euro 6 on the likes of peugeot/citroen/ bmw/somehow are working a lot better have far less trouble with dpfs from my experience.
@@bobsurrey6686for some reason I thought this van has the ford "puma" codenamed 1.5 with the wet timing belt.
You didn't mention launch once !
Is that a good thing or bad?
simple don't buy a modern car or van there shit mk6 transit all the way lol
0.5 mpa normal idle pressure
I have the same shed
let the owner clean his brains to operate this car! any questions? turn around!!!!
Do you have someone who looks after you?
@@number6ix929in our country, a person who cannot normally drive and maintain a car is called a gasket between the steering wheel and the seat
the owner of the diesel, an oddball
