    I want to do this on my white sr5

    I have a trd off-road and I wish I didn’t have the valence. Everyone has their own taste - I just wish I could remove it without worrying about all the holes.

      Ah ya, depending on the color 4Runner some don't look as good. I'm actually debating right now to get one of the hybrid metal bumpers and cut the whole section out.

      @@ForeverARide I'll make one if I get one but there are already a lot of videos out there for that.

      Sorry did not measure but you will see the squares on the back of your factory bumper when you take it off

    Do you have a video to install the rear black valence as well?

    • @jeffsteffens
      @jeffsteffens  3 роки тому +1

      No I do not sorry. I only wrapped my factory rear bumper to mimic the valence. Haven't got the valence yet to install but Im sure it is the same basic install. You can google and see how to remove the rear bumper so you can cut it like I did for this one.

      I guess if you wanna look OEM that's cool IMHO it's a waste of moolah because if you already afford a 5th gen might as well get a rugged on frame bumper

    What is the purpose of the valance?

      @jeffsteffens  2 роки тому +2

      Just looks. The TRD's come with them.

      The valance adds some protection to your bumper cover. If you take an approach that’s a bit too steep, you could drag your bumper on the ground. With the valance there, you’ll scratch the valance, which can easily and cheaply be replaced. Without the valance, you’ll scratch your bumper cover, which is a much larger piece that will need to be repainted, repaired, or replaced.
