I just swapped the front valance on my 2021 TRD OffRoad Premium. Removed the silver and put on a black one. With Safety Sense, there is one more wire to disconnect and two more bolts holding it on right in front of the radiator. Also, the fog lights all disconnect on the driver side. Nothing to disconnect on the passenger as far as wires. Not sure if that is the same or not. I am not mechanically enclosed and it took me about an hour taking my time. Me and plastic don’t always get along o I was being extra careful. TRDJon’s directions are spot on for doing this on your own! Save the cash. I did the back valance also. It was even easier than the front.
So putting front and rear bumper back on is not hard? I feel like timing the snapping back in could go bad.

Thanks for the good instructions. I found that on the 2020 and 2021 you also need to remove 2, 10mm bolts holding the radar panel to the support bracket. You don't need to remove it from the lower grill itself.

Yes I would agree with anyone wanting to remove their bumper to watch this video. I kinda of messed up my bumper after I installed a C4 Fabrication bumper. I haven’t been able to get the part of the bumper where you first start to pull away from the body; there’s a small gap and I’m afraid that if I do any serious off-roading it (the bumper) might pop off. Thinking off doing some type of tap screw with a bolt on the backside for extra support. I think I must off at that section. So somehow I must of weakened the small tabs that help keep the bumper in place. So be careful when pulling away.
Is it not flush with the fender anymore ? You may just need to pull it off and the just re align it?

You should get a Warn semi hidden bumper with a warn winch that bumper and winch looks great and aggressive looking.

I have a 2013 different bumper.... does the bumper have to come off to change out the parking lights in the headlight assembly?
Very informative video. My 2020 4Runner has the TSS (Toyota Safety Sense) 9" x 3" Radar Panel in the center of the grill. I am planning on installing an LED Light Bar behind the grill, just below the TSS Radar Panel. The grill section below the TSS panel has a solid backing for some reason (which would block 9" of the LED Light Bar). Can the solid backing behind the grill, and below the TSS Radar Panel, be removed with a Dremel tool to allow light from the LED Light Bar to pass through the grill?
I wouldn't, it may throw off the radar. I'd personally run two separate pod lights
If you want to change the headlight assy, you would need to do this... dang.

The 2019 RAV4 bumper looks identical but I can’t find anything showing that takedown. Guessing it would be pretty similar however.
Yeah probably pretty similar maybe some extra tabs in the grill since they look to all be together

Yea sometimes that part can be a little tricky. And it’s not perfect
@@TRDJon I am going to use TSB and see if it works. Seems like it is a mold issue, and it doesnt fit for the clips to hold properly.. Its easier when I have it apart... No videos on the internet addressing it, yet.

You can yes. But you need fenders lights and all most likely
Thanks for the video TRD John. I have a 2021 TRD Pro and the fog light connections are different than previous year 5th gens. There is a single connection on the driver’s side. It’s some kind of connector I’ve never seen. Looks fragile. Any chance any you can find out through your numerous 4Runner followers how to disconnect that connector? The actual fog light connector harness looks like it’s part of the bumper. This has stopped me from installing my Nova series Alpharex head lights. Thanks again!

Looking to install two (2) LED Light Pods in a 4Runner with the TSS Radar Panel in the grill. Can both LED Light Pods be ran from the same OEM Dash switch, which is rated at 3-Amp? The single 32" LED light bar will not work behind the TSS panel.

Is doesn't look like there's a way to simply replace the chrome crops members on vehicles with them. Are they simply part of the bumper assembly and not replaceable without replacing the entire bumper?

@@TRDJon sorry! Chrome CROSS bars. One is at the base of the bumper assembly and the other is at the level of the logo, with a carve out for the base of the logo. I've looked online and they only seem to be available in chrome. I may be forced to completely replace the bumper. :-/

How do you disconnect the fog lights?
There is a disconnect on the light bulb housing. Or the easiest way is to just twist the bulb out.

Nope took it off for a hidden light bar. I’m in super crappy WiFi at our hotel so that one is still trying to upload.
