Hands down Keenan this is the absolute best Laundroworks video out here! Very informative. It looks like we made the right decision going with Laundroworks as well. Thanks for the video and Laundroworks should pay you for the promotion!!
The more that people share prices, information, etc., the better off the operators will be across the country. I’m currently working with Danny on my 1st store and have to say your channel is by far the most informative when it comes to fixing machines, and just the actual day to day operations… The shit I actually need to know. Thanks for putting out good content and not just quarter counting videos like others do.
Yup keep the cost low by .01 cent yes, they will come across town to your place . We go over all prices on all stuff need to run a laundry business you have to check around including the internet for lowest cost .To bad about the other companies try to sell hight prices I hope all other laundry business see this and wow what he did for a lower cost on things for laundry business!
I would recommend doing it yourself instead. Buy TCP/IP readers from avea, and as long as the laundry machines and dryers can accept a "dry contact closure" as means of payment, then you just hook it up to a web server that handles the refilling and debiting of cards. Setting up a kiosk for refilling and dispensing the card is as easy, and a advantage is also the card only needs to be tapped once to refill it, as the value is stored in server and not on card.
This is a great video for laundroworks! You did a great remodel on that mat. I remember the earlier videos. I think the card will definitely sweep the industry over the next ten years. Float can be awesome, when I priced on the 9s, I made about $1k a month. I got a lot of questions and complaints from customers and switched to quarter pricing, dropped float significantly, but still a nice little chunk of change. Get the APP, I'm pushing it to reduce card usage. Plus ALL user are registered.
@ you made a good point about getting prices from different dealers. That’s the quote I got from my SQ dealer. I will check with my Dexter and Huesbch dealer.
I charge what I pay for cards. No complaints. You would be better off doing a double your money weekend. Or add 4 dollars for if folks load with $20 bills. Will add more float. Have to come back. But I would charge for card.
@@FollowingKeenan do you lock them in with the locking pin that comes with them around here if the inspector did his surprise visit and they love to do it we get fined for it i hope you haven gotten fined over it other trick is to put a cage over it that helps
I tried using one to do it. Zero luck. It can't get past the card encryption. If someone did figure a way. Always someone trying to rip off little guy. Sometimes stuff only keeps honest people honest. Like locks on a car!
Cost Speed Queen insights is very pricey. They charge like $6,000 a year just for subscribing fee. Laundroworks tech fee is $ 480. You know is got issues when your Speed Queen distributor won't sell it.
Do you need to buy a firewall for your network to utilize this and accept credit cards? Without it, I would think you're violating PCI-DSS compliance. Just a heads up.
The laundromat I go to has those exact same machines and I just pay through the app. And it takes quarters if you want to pay with cash. Why would you spend so much money for an outdated system?
@@FollowingKeenanbut this is so outdated. I’m not sure you realize that kiosk is extremely overpriced. On top of that those cards get lost and there’s no way to get the money you had on it back. You don’t have that problem on the app and it lets you earn points and you could get a refund directly to it. I think you should’ve tried negotiating better terms. Maybe it’s because I used the app it seems that way to me but if I’m being honest I would not visit your laundromat.
If I dont have the time to try and start from nothing. See now that I have one I can make my own. So the way I look at it. I paid them to teach me. Like any other education.
@@FollowingKeenanI can see that. It’s good to learn and it does come at a cost. My issue here is this system is not an advancement but the opposite. Could you have set it up for $1000? Absolutely. Now not sure what the app is costing you that you decided to go with this but I’m sure there would also be a much cheaper workaround for it. Atleast with that, it would still be an advancement. And sorry if I’m coming off rude but really I’m just being honest. You’re basically recommending this product to other laundromat and they’d essentially be wasting their money without actually making a technological leap forward.
Where’s Danny’s comment?
He commented using a few of his spam accounts. But he never comments under his youtube main channel name. Weird huh?
you mean danny the free laundromat guy? hes a scam
I loved that you pinned this comment.

I love the chaos in this video.
"If you have a mayt" and you just skip to the next bit, killed me.

Fantastic ! Answered every question I had, thank you !
Glad it helped!
really cool to see you moving into the digital operation just as you said you would
I am screaming at the way he is handling the spare cards. He didn’t ground himself then not holding the on the edges. Hope he didn’t ruin them.
Congrats with the 100k. When I joined you had about 1k subscribers. Have they sent you your Plaque yet
Not yet, it takes a bit before that show up.
Thanks!

I’m loving these videos keenan
LOL... love watching content
Hands down the best system out there.
Pay range does not need internet. Uses the users Bluetooth and their network connection.
Went with laundryboss to maintain hybrid
Do u like pay range?

I think prices vary by location. My dealer is charging me $290 per reader and $8400 for the VAC unit.
Unless that price is with install then that would make sense. I just ordered two more readers for 240 each.
@ you made a good point about getting prices from different dealers. That’s the quote I got from my SQ dealer. I will check with my Dexter and Huesbch dealer.
Is it really worth it to tech everything out to that degree? What about just having an ATM and a change machine?
Yea, quarters are huge pain in busy laundromats. Especially when you own multiple locations. Helps with book keeping also.
They got bought by Cents… good luck
Did you charge for your cards to your customers when you first changed over? I'm wondering if I should make the cards free for a limited time.
I charge what I pay for cards. No complaints. You would be better off doing a double your money weekend. Or add 4 dollars for if folks load with $20 bills. Will add more float. Have to come back.
But I would charge for card.
I think its nuts to pay the 8K when you could build a Keyos yourself if you have the tech skills.
It’s not always the skill. It can also be the time
i see the disconncted smoke alarm on the wall when you going to replace it
It was taken. I seem to lose that and toilet seats. At that location. Happens so offen we just get use to seeing it.

you want to know something funny, some one with a "flipper zero" can get free wash / dry!
I tried using one to do it. Zero luck. It can't get past the card encryption.
If someone did figure a way. Always someone trying to rip off little guy. Sometimes stuff only keeps honest people honest. Like locks on a car!
@@FollowingKeenan not really the card encryption, it a failsafe mode where the sever aka the main box can kill it if that is not a paid for card!
Do you think you'd build your own kiosk next time? That would be awesome to save $$ if it's possible
Which dealer did you buy it from to get those prices?
Century Laundry, out of Iowa.
When do you plan to implement this system in your other laundromat location.
I just order new washers and laundroworks from laundromat 2. Should have in 2 months February. 3rd location I'll do after that place is done.
If a customer wants to pay for their WDF with #Laundroworks, is there a counter version of Laundroworks' reader?
Not yet, but i would think it in the works. I know you can use laundroworks readers to do laundry lockers for drop off.
There is a counter version!
Did you look at any other card systems before you pulled the trigger?
I did, Fascard, Payrange, Speed queen kiosk, and Spider wash.
Why did you choose Laundry Works over Speed Queens Insight?
Cost Speed Queen insights is very pricey. They charge like $6,000 a year just for subscribing fee. Laundroworks tech fee is $ 480.
You know is got issues when your Speed Queen distributor won't sell it.
#Alliance will love that last part. LOL@@FollowingKeenan

are you making more money with card readers on machines ???
Yes, one factor is full cycle dry. Lower my dry time to 3 minutes a quarter. No complaints either, folks love it. There other ways.
What’s wrong with cash?
Nothing, it can also take cash. Just have the added feature for convenience of card. Only 5 percent use it at moment.
@ only 5% of your customers use the digital payment system?
Hey Keenan I will be starting a laundry mat from scratch. Im in Ohio can I buy you lunch one of these days and pick your brain ?
I've see laundries use nayax card readers
Yea, i don't like the idea of using a credit card each machine. With laundroworks I'm still getting cash.
The laundromat I go to has those exact same machines and I just pay through the app. And it takes quarters if you want to pay with cash. Why would you spend so much money for an outdated system?
Speed queen app cost 3 times this. Plus you have to pay huge usage fee a year.

$8,000.00 for $500.00 equipment that good marketup
Right 😂 I was thinking the same thing. This guy talked about being a savy businessman but really got ripped off with that kiosk.
