My area laundromats are switching over to machines that have a credit card reader on them so that there're less quarters to collect. One can even rent time via an app in one of those laundromats, but I know that the owner had to invest about $250k in new machines and instilation costs to get that done.

Here's my advice: When you ask someone to leave and they walk towards the door, just shut your mouth. They're already leaving. Why antagonize them? Why continue to run your yapper? Just let them leave. Next time you might not be so lucky.
I wanted him to understand that he was going to be trespassed the next time he did it. I had asked him a dozen times to leave already by the point the video flips on
most of the quarters were already yours, they came from quarter exchange. But some people bring their own quarters, so suppose you have to subtract the cash in the machine from the quarters to get an accurate #.
If you had washers and dryers that used those prepaid cards you add money too you could prob do some kind of redeem system on the coin pusher with tokens. Dont know what's all involved on that cost or if maybe dexter has a way to integrate that way with some type of system.
Thanks for your kindness Brandon. Perhaps you might let your support for the church meal program be disseminated to the patrons and the unfortunate ones in the area. Your patrons see some of their expenditure doing good and they can refer those looking for a handout to a hot meal. Win win
1. posting revenue instead of profit is very misleading 2. since you have security cameras you should just pay for those 3rd party security companies that monitor the cameras and if someone is sleeping in the place they send out a mall cop to tell them to leave. not sure how small your town is so maybe the mall cop costs too much, but a national security monitoring company can still monitor your cameras and then you can be the mall cop for free, or you tell someone you know locally to just run in and tell them to leave
Is why you need to get an intercom and link it through the cctv system so you can play police sirens loud af through the system or call em out from your cell phone.. if they’re sleeping then just play loud annoying stuff.. lol
@@InvestmentJoy That has nothing to do with things being hard, that's just people being destructive for some twisted sense of joy. Look at how people will loot buildings. They don't have to destroy the place, just take the stuff. But they will go out of their way to destroy the place. Even when destroying the place puts them at risk of getting caught.
Why not have an electronic code lock on the door and folks that actually use the laundromat register online - you give everyone unique codes, monitor via your cameras and if someone abuses you just cancel their code. also would keep the homeless out etc.
I'd like to know that question as well. If you read through comments on prior videos, people blame me for not letting them use the bathroom, so it's my fault.
Some areas don't have public restrooms. And many businesses won't allow someone to use their restroom without a purchase. So some people go where they can. Disgusting, yes. But when you gotta go, you gotta go...
Why don't you take the change bucket with to each machine, instead of setting it down and walking back and forth to it to empty each machine? Trying to get more steps?
Do yourself another favor. Instead of using a coinstar or cashing in the coins at the bank to get paid face value for each coin, partner up with a coin collector and get more of a coin's actual value.
@@InvestmentJoy team up with a robotics youtuber to create a conveyor with an optical sensor to sort any coins of interest from the rest. I reckon that would go viral.
Instead of coin pusher machines. Maybe you should have gotten arcade video games instead. I mean, you have homeless people coming in and sleeping on the floor in front of them and taking dumps in the trash can. What do you want to bet they're eventually going to smash the machine and take all the coins.
Coin pushers are illegal in Indiana, it’s considered gambling. There are exceptions, like in large arcades that only use tokens to redeem in-house prizes, but a real money coin pusher is a no go. Crane machines are legal as long as there is a fair chance to win a toy, but you can’t attach money or other valuables to the toy. They tried to get coin pushers legalized a few years ago, but they have a problem with putting in a coin, and not guaranteed on getting one back, which they say constitutes gambling.
I say no on the games especially with the homeless problem in your shop. And maybe there’s a local security company (I recommend cause they are a lot better then the large corporation ones) that you can hire to come and just walk in your shop a few times a day just to help deter unwanted activity. And they could go to your other rental and store property also. Or asking the local pd to come by or park an unused squad car outside. Security cameras are great for recording what’s happing for evidence and scares off the “new” or the criminal that are uneasy. But like all banks pretty much have cameras but there’s still robberies.

A new row of washers can set you back alot depending on whether it's 20lb machine or 60lb machine. I don't think people realize how expensive equipment is. Anyways unless you truly enjoy the industry it gets old
@@derrickwolter1 I'm glad you left and I hope the many others can follow you and pursue their actual dreams having a laundromat should be something on the side like owning properties where you rent.
@@MrEufemia it's definitely more hands on then people think
@@derrickwolter1 I agree with you
My area laundromats are switching over to machines that have a credit card reader on them so that there're less quarters to collect. One can even rent time via an app in one of those laundromats, but I know that the owner had to invest about $250k in new machines and instilation costs to get that done.
Spends more make less than that in return think about the only way you make money is with more than one laundromat
You can't underreport or overreport credit card transactions.
In buisness you can carry through your losses on taxes until they are gone.
May you be blessed Sir!!!!
They're not just calling coin pushers gambling. It's the simplest form of gambling it's a clear case.
Should still be legal regardless
Games of “ chance “ not “skill “
I got the joke.
@@zekebones34 legal with a license. Which comes with responsibility if anyone underage play. If he wants to put children's gambling games should put Pokemon card machines or plush crane games not cash money
Is it as bad as it seems in the USA.... people have to got to washing machine place and do not have their own washing machine at home.... or are they living in a small places so they can not have a washing machine..... or is it so that the landlord is not offering a washing machine for the renters.... just amazing that this type of business is thriving
Investment Joy making moves
Trying!
25 people a year is horrible 😢
Thank you for your generosity
Here's my advice:
When you ask someone to leave and they walk towards the door, just shut your mouth. They're already leaving. Why antagonize them?
Why continue to run your yapper?
Just let them leave.
Next time you might not be so lucky.
I wanted him to understand that he was going to be trespassed the next time he did it. I had asked him a dozen times to leave already by the point the video flips on
I like watching his videos, but that was cringe to watch for sure.
Dude stfu. He has every right to be upset that a dude is sleeping in his business.
Hes in his business he can say whatever he like to the guy
He also could also could get shot in these crazy days.
I would not show how much money on UA-cam!
They are not games of skill, you can set you profit percentage on the micro switch board, they only imply the need of skill.
It's sort of that way in Canada where a lot of big city homeless people end up migrating to small cities.
Fire hazard wiring
most of the quarters were already yours, they came from quarter exchange.
Yeah, this is a great concept, I've met the laundroworks team, hope to implement in the future
Thanks for your kindness Brandon. Perhaps you might let your support for the church meal program be disseminated to the patrons and the unfortunate ones in the area. Your patrons see some of their expenditure doing good and they can refer those looking for a handout to a hot meal. Win win
You saw me give money to the soup kitchen in the video right?
Should do a magnetic keytag locking system
No upside to lecturing the guy, especially when he is in the process of leaving
That one guy used it for a log drop off 😂
Well done
Ive always been interested in opening a laundry mat. Youve made 350k in quarters from your laundry mat?
1. posting revenue instead of profit is very misleading
2. since you have security cameras you should just pay for those 3rd party security companies that monitor the cameras and if someone is sleeping in the place they send out a mall cop to tell them to leave. not sure how small your town is so maybe the mall cop costs too much, but a national security monitoring company can still monitor your cameras and then you can be the mall cop for free, or you tell someone you know locally to just run in and tell them to leave
You should see the complaints when I break down cogs, noi and cashflow
Do you own a laundromat or any other business?
How are your ears after putting all those quarters through the machine lol, I'd have ringing ears
Not as loud in person.... Or I can't hear to begin with
I can't believe you let someone other than yourself empty the cash drawers.
Is why you need to get an intercom and link it through the cctv system so you can play police sirens loud af through the system or call em out from your cell phone.. if they’re sleeping then just play loud annoying stuff.. lol
People are struggling out here, rent is way too expensive
Doesn’t give them the right to harass or threaten people. I’m all for helping the homeless but he did the right thing here.
I agree things are hard out there, but I don't understand how things get so hard that you need to vandalize people's property
Why not have an electronic code lock on the door and folks that actually use the laundromat register online - you give everyone unique codes, monitor via your cameras and if someone abuses you just cancel their code. also would keep the homeless out etc.
oh and the code lock would make real customers feel safer as well.
i loved quarter pushers as a kid at 28 now I'd say keep them it's a solid passive income with little to no labor.
Why does dexter pay put a hold on your card for 5 days ? Even after they are paid
No clue, I'd guess some processors are just super slow
I'm sorry, was one of those guys crapping in the trash can...?
Out of curiosity, why do druggies/homeless choose to use a trash can for their business opposed to a public bathroom / going outside?
I'd like to know that question as well. If you read through comments on prior videos, people blame me for not letting them use the bathroom, so it's my fault.
@@InvestmentJoyif you left an open bathroom it would be a crime scene in one night. People suck.
I have, and it was, we've had the toilet & sink ripped off of their framing not once, but twice.
Some areas don't have public restrooms. And many businesses won't allow someone to use their restroom without a purchase. So some people go where they can. Disgusting, yes. But when you gotta go, you gotta go...
When are you coming back to Rockford
Don't do it...unless you are laundring more than clothes.
Hey man, be cool, be cool
Do all laundromats come with a shopping cart?
Why don't you take the change bucket with to each machine, instead of setting it down and walking back and forth to it to empty each machine? Trying to get more steps?
Have to hold camera too
can we have another car was collection and update on them, id love to know how the new touchless systems have been doing
Yes!
That laundromat looks so familiar
Great 👍 video!
Do yourself another favor.
Instead of using a coinstar or cashing in the coins at the bank to get paid face value for each coin, partner up with a coin collector and get more of a coin's actual value.
I wonder how I would do that with 300,000 worth of coins every year
@@InvestmentJoy Where there's a will...
@@InvestmentJoy team up with a robotics youtuber to create a conveyor with an optical sensor to sort any coins of interest from the rest. I reckon that would go viral.
@@Fanta.... And if a $0.25 coin can be worth $18,000 and be sold for $14.5k I'd imagine it's worth it.
How much is your monthly electric bill
Water too
Instead of coin pusher machines. Maybe you should have gotten arcade video games instead.
I mean, you have homeless people coming in and sleeping on the floor in front of them and taking dumps in the trash can. What do you want to bet they're eventually going to smash the machine and take all the coins.
Thanks for what you do😊
Can you hire an attendant? Off duty cop or hired security guard?
Is this a 24 hour laundromat? Why don't you hire staff? Once you lose a customer it's hard to get back.
It's obviously gambling but it's fairly low stakes on both ends so it's not super addicting
If it has a skill stop doesn't that get around it ...since then it's a game of skill not Chance?
I say no on the games especially with the homeless problem in your shop. And maybe there’s a local security company (I recommend cause they are a lot better then the large corporation ones) that you can hire to come and just walk in your shop a few times a day just to help deter unwanted activity. And they could go to your other rental and store property also. Or asking the local pd to come by or park an unused squad car outside.
Security cameras are great for recording what’s happing for evidence and scares off the “new” or the criminal that are uneasy. But like all banks pretty much have cameras but there’s still robberies.
Roman atwood is trying to find someone to fix his Claw machine that you guys gifted him hopefully you can help and great videos
