Important thing with this character is to NOT have any cold damage(ravenfrost etc.), because you don't want to shatter the corpses of the bosses you kill. Same for your merc - no vamp gaze or any cold damage.
@@Brian-yz8dj cold damage give you a chance to shatter corpses of monsters you kill. And you cannot use find item on them, because shattered corpses literally disappears instantly. And find item is the reason to play this build anyway, so cold damage defeats the very purpose you play this character. That's why even in multiplayer games, you should avoid groups with cold sorcs or necros(or at least ask them to not use CE)
I've started this character a few months ago but I struggled very hard to lvl him up as it was NOT fun so I just left it there for a while. I come back to the game and after one week I'm like "ok, I'll reset his stats for the 6th time and try again to level him up". (your guide helped but remember i was trying to have some fun with it while leveling). I managed to kill Ball in Hell with it and started to do a few trav runs after that... After a few runs what do I find ? A FREAKING BER RUNE. I was stocked ! I went to sleep happy this night (this was on the 25th of this month so, Sunday). ... Next morning, I woke up, took my breakfast yada yada yada and started D2R. I'm like "ok baby barb, let's goooo" and start doing trav runs again. 1 hour later: ANOTHER FREAKING BER RUNE. TWO BER IN LESS THAN 24H ? WHAT THE HELL IS THIS ? I was right to give him another chance !
Contrats man , i was doing lower kurast run yesterday , nothing for 200 runs on my 287th run I found a Lo rune.. I open the other chest a Vex rune !!! Rng is quite something
Too late xD but good point. However all is not lost. I think I will pick alibaba anyway. 30% MF less but u get a ton of gold find which is really nice. Few hours of running travincal and I get 15 min gold for gambling. Also u get 15 Dex which means you can move that to vitality for example
Grats on setting up your zerk barb! I hope the RNG will favor him on his grail. The berserker's my favorite character, he can be built for so many different purposes! He can adapt his gear to MF any high level zone, no matter the mob types, even undead magic immunes using azurewrath offhand (the physical ED provided by the aura will work even with berserk since the new patch) or a concentrate hybrid. I've been getting very high elite kills per hour in the swampy pit or the stony tomb, definitely worth a try if you're looking to mix things up. I think you varied your farming areas a lot on the sorc for your first grail, and the barb has the same capability. Good luck!
I’ve been following your holy grail from the very start lol. I play offline exclusively and I finally finished my pit zerker today. Had to cube up two Lo, four sur, and two ber just to get my jah rune. I wouldn’t have done it if I didn’t already have my grief and fortitude lol. Your guides have been extremely helpful for me to find everything and helped keep the game fun throughout the process! Thanks!
Nice! I am just starting offline mode and made a barb it’s my only character and currently farming meph but I’m realizing I probably need to make a sorc or something to truly farm and get those important runes
Mine is slightly different I have isted arreats and a Trang’s belt, with dual 30% nagels. I’m at the resistance cap and I find with dual wiz spikes my tele speed is still pretty good. I also have 20 in find item and find potion as that’s the goal of the build right so even though it’s 6% it adds up over time! Then the dump points in to battle orders. My merc is specced for trav running with eth guardian angel and kiras. 671% MF and I can do most areas without too much trouble. Just a slight variation.
I've played this barb all of this season after seeing your old video on the best mf char after they announced the synergy to item find. Few pointers I have, mostly regarding grinding players 8 on any area (mainly cs, not just pit): Max your damage! Go full howl and spend a few (4-7) points in natural resistance if you wanna deal with curses. LoH gloves will do more for you than chance guards. You really do not need more than like 50-60% chance to successfully find item. Using a stormshield has a lot of value. Super fun character to play, even though you cant clear CS as fast as a pally
I was crunching some numbers, and wouldn’t you be able to get an insane Find Item % if you managed to find and dual-wield those Heartrender (sp) knives that add +4 to Find Potion AND Find Item ?! 😜 The idea would be you kill the enemy however you want… then swap to the twin uniques for the actual Horking… and you’d have an..80%+ chance for the Hork to succeed ?! I’m def intrigued at the possibility. 💰
@@AlekTrev006 I'm about to be 100% anecdotal and not at all scientific. I found that my current setup grief and Ali Babba, swap to dual Ali babbas, was better off than dual renders. I made a barb specifically because I had found 2 of them. This is from memory but I didn't even max my barbs find item because find potion synergy was worth a static +1%. It was about 70% find item without renders and the 76% from dual renders meant way less gold and magic each hork. Just my feelings after probably 50 hours played horking.
@@AlekTrev006 The additional +4 to Find Potion doesn't add the synergy effect just like any other spell in the game. E.g if you get +3 to bone spear on an item it doesn't give bone spirit the synergy effect.
I started a fresh account 3 days ago. Running your build of Singer barb and building towards a Zerker MF like this. Am glad to say am just a Jah away from enigma and I can finally ignore those normie monsters! Again I started with 0 and ran through the game ez pz with singer barb. TY VM! your videos are a godsend!
Singer barb is the best trav farmer. It’s also a hell of a lot cheaper. My build only needs 2 vex and 4-6 ist. Run from WP to durance lvl 1, run back out, taunt to bring casters close then war cry then find item. Running mine on ladder with 2 hoto (rolled a 40 first time and traded for two 30s), skulders (need my jah for enigma), arach, Magefist, sandstorm trek, double nagel, Mara, 2 Ptopaz’d ik helm (traded first 2 shako drops). +5 fhr small charms for the break point, physical sunder, gheed, ani, torch, 2 war cry skillers and then +7 mf small charms. I have dual Ali babas on switch. Merc has non eth duriel shell, non eth insight CV, andys visage. Basically invincible when most everything is stunned and does decent enough damage. One point stamina, speed, iron skin, resist, find potion, find item, shout, battle command, leap. Max battle orders, war cry, howl, battle cry, taunt. At lvl 90 I have max resistances (only coming from 1 hard point resist skill, dual low roll hoto, mid anni and low barb torch I got for a keyset), 5 frame hit recovery, 8 frame cast rate, 2100 damage per shout. With just 1 hard point into find item and potion I have 52% chance before weapon swap. Switch weapons to Ali babas to find item and it drops to 48% (close enough) but over 500 gold find and magic find. Might just put my next few points into find potion for the find item % as kill speed is acceptable. I got all the gear to start by leveling and magic finding with my cold sunder blizz sorc up to level 90 running dirt cheap gear (except for um’d shako) and trading skiller gcs and bases.

The most important things i miss in allllll the d2 builds are the how to level section.for a barb like a berserker you got a few options but if you choose a sorc for example its easy..you picl blizzard and your good to go with any kind of gear but for barb however its another story since your main weapon will be your killer.if you dont have a grief or botd the killing part will not be as fast as the ones when you own those 2 weapons.soo when will someone make those builds when you start a new char to put some choices into that build with what to level .poe mostly got it and thats really helpfull for new players.for me its no big deal i know diablo out of my head but this is just an shoutout to the streamers who make this videos
If you wanted to do this Untwinked, what's the easiest way to start farming Trav for runes? Or would you just farm LK? Would you farm NM Meph for butchers pupil ect? Would you do a WC build? (I tried but even with dual spirit and 17 insight I had bad mana problems)
This build is best only at a very limited area of magic finding and that's hunting for unique, set, rare and magic versions of TC85 bases. For general magic finding, sorcs and other characters with either act boss stomping or screen wiping skills are much, much better. If anyone is expecting to drop hundreds of uniques and sets per hour with this build, you are very wrong. You will actually see much less of those in comparison to e.g. full clearing CS including Diablo but you will get a a real chance to drop that Tyrael's or Death's Web once during your 10k pit runs. Maybe you should mention this somewhere in your video, dude.
Playing this video's build would be like dying a painful death to me... At least clearing the areas, like you said, you're somewhat playing the game, not being a human Bot
If you have the 5 os ettin axe rune master with 5 ists and a goldwrap belt you get the same mf as a 6 ist'ed crystal sword and trang's belt but the secondary effects are better imo. +5 max cold resist, 80% gf, 10% ias vs. 66 to life, 50 to mana, and 5 to replenish life. Really just the 10 ias. And yeah I'm aware he mentioned it in the video.
Wouldn’t it also be the same as putting an Ist in a shako and using the rune master with 5 ists? I think this would be the absolute best option out of them all
I thought about this but another thing to consider is you’re maxing sword mastery and still using both weapons even if it’s on the off hand. Also in terms of usability if you wanted to use that ettin axe on another char or trade later the 6 isted crystal sword is more versatile across different builds in my opinion.
I’d really like this also. I know by now Grief is OP and for this reason best in slot. I refuse to play with it just because it’s OP. I would just like a viable Barb build without Grief or same old best in slot items…

shhh, don't tell everyone about my spots to get early hrs in ladder xD On HC, i changed out the 6 ist'ed sword with stormshield. And i've changed chansies for LoH. I was also running skullders ire before enigma and it still worked great. A bit slow compared to sorcs, but still a really solid build. If WW gets changed and becomes good, it can change out berserker. However, converting to magic damage is to good to ignore on d2. To teleport safe with berserker you have to have 120fcr (double wizzy and i use a crafted barb amu with fcr to cap it out), it's really something people ignore on HC and then they die. On top of that, a lot of WC/life gc's and 7mf/res sc's, ended up on 400mf regular and 600mf with two alibaba for horking on trav runs. Tbh though, anything above 400mf is not helping much. Oh and don't use ravenfrost or cold damage items. You will not end up with corpses to yell at for more items, they will just shatter on hit. Horrible cow runner or any place with lots of monsters like sanctuary. Can't do baal or diablo runs by himself (at least if you want to kill every monster). But the best character at getting hrs on, 100%. Oh and people will be mad at you in public games for not being a 100% bo barb, or bitch barb as i call them lol.
Alibaba is good to use lem runes for gold finder barbarians. It makes the magic finding secondary but still good. Gambling regularly keeps the dream of gg circlets alive but I've never found.
I swear I always have the best luck with just max run speed and full clearing shit, I understand the drop rates are way better on bosses but I get a majority of my rune drops from regular creatures.
i jsut found a crappy 5 os runemaster was was considering doing the 5 ists in there to save both an ist and a cham rune by using ptopaz shako... i know its slower but sure 5 ist runemaster is better than 6 soc crystal/phase.. its same results but save 2 runes.
Can you explain the differences between this and WW or Frenzy barb? Can they also not use Find Item? And why, even with all your gear you were getting owned in Trav?
He uses berserk so he can use the 6 ist'd weapon and so he can afford to put points into the skills necessary to make this build work (find potion, find item, howl, battle orders) while still having great berserk damage with all it's synergies.
1) big single target dmg 2) 8-frame teleport 3) horking . Basically, it’s the best setup to hunt down uniques, and crush them with 1-2 hits for double rewards.
If you have 2 Grief, WW is higher DPS, but since you don't have MF gear in your off hand, your MF is worse when killing. You can have MF gear on your weapon swap for horking though. Also, your leech works, so Trav won't be difficult at all. I find it much better than Berserk in Trav, but if you have Enigma and want to do the Pit, that would be a different story. I haven't tried Frenzy personally but it also has worse DPS than WW, even when they both have 2 Grief (according to Maxroll).
The difference was his fire res was at max and e had a dwarfstar and wasn't on players 7 doing the trav runs to begin with. Its all documented in his livestreams on the channel.
as a budget option I ran najs armor and staff on swap for 180 mf and you can throw a p topaz in armor and ist in the staff.. if you have enough gold find the 137k repair charges aren't so bad. I'll even zerk with the staff if I'm feeling greedy.
Yesh, the level of the gear / runes for this stuff, I know all the streamers do it, but what else do you farm for when you've spent all the time getting this junk? You've kind of already won the game.
I'm collecting items for a cheap version of this but I don't like all the trash mob skipping. He seems to know this build is mostly for trav unless you have all that invested into it.
I found a Lo rune and a ohm rune both just clearing trash in act 1 horking everything I kill using frenzy and WW so I run really fast with a fortitude on I just start in the cold plains and just clear every monster in every act... Recently act one is the most profitable....
Hey Mr llama why do most people recommend trang belt instead of goldwrap or cham rune instead of raven frost ring. I have read several guides and always get the impression of overlooking raven.
raven frost ring has cold damage on it so it can sometimes shatter corpses which you then cant use to item find. but you can use it ive heard someone say out of 10 runs they only see 1 or 2 shatter at travincal at least. so thats why most suggest getting cannot be frozen elsewhere
Have you tried this on switch? I have a pitzerker (nearly same gear) on single player switch and it really struggles. I am wondering if you need mouse and keyboard for the micro on this.
That works fine on SP but if you play online the Pit is a waste of time because of the time it takes to find the entrance on the map. You are really relegated to farming Trav, Chaos and WSK, but luckily a 90+ level barb with good gear can farm all those areas which are the best spots because you don't need to teleport around looking for the entrance, and WSK will be necessary later for getting XP as well.
I'm curious why you stacked a bunch of small charms when you could have farmed Andariel for Gheed's fortune charms. Even an average roll is higher than 3 small charms MF combined. I'm just a stickler for inventory space I guess.
With the new WW updates, you can 100% MF fairly quickly on players 5. I know this as I am currently using one, although I'm using last wish.... however dual cheap griefs will work great as well.
It depends on what you want to do and how much you care about farming optimally. Berserk barb will be the best for unique hunting. But if you're playing online and are fine with trading, running a WW barb on P1 Trav is fantastic value, and has a bunch of loot diversity between Runes, Facets, jewelry, charms, and gambling.
Secont sets of weapons i have two ali baba swords 91 mf each. So i kill monsters then switch to 280 mf and use find items. And this is without enigma. With enigma it will much more. So i killing witch base weapons with mf cca 100. Then switch to second sets and use find item for corpses with 270 mf. Andd i opened boxes and treasures with second sets weapons too. Bad thing is, i must nonstop switch weapons, its annoying but it works

my problem with berserker guide is every person have a fully stacked berserker barb with full charm inv... i mean... how is this build ever viable unless you swipe
I have tried this build out with the same gear that you have, and it is not an efficient MF build. Actually, my sorceress is more efficient at 225% MF compared to the barb at 568% MF. WHY? Simple, because the magic items we want are from bosses, and this build is a horrible boss killer where it takes 2-3x as long doing straight boss runs as my Nova Sorceress. This is also a very agonizing build to play. The theory is there, but it is the bosses that have the items we want and this build just does not clear a boss run fast enough, as compared to more devastating builds with half the MF. Just my thoughts after a weeks worth of testing.
too bad items on bnet and in singleplayer keep disappearing if you have more than 8kb worth of affixes on a character whats the point in farming for items if they could disappear on you at any moment?
Nope, technically you only need to kill hell baal if you want to farm cows. So long as you do your Anya quest for the final +10 All res scroll, you're good to go!
i can't afford an engima right now, jah and ber is extremely hard to find in single play. and i need to farm mephisto with my barb. what do you think about damage reduction against the self-explosive monsters? i find that with high defense, damage reduction and life leech i can ignore how many health i have. also if i want to fight the other bosses with this barb, max out berzerk is not the best option. i find it farming baal is usually more rewardful but yes slower than farming in the travincal.
@@kiss4luna I'm talking not about time that streamers farm. Streamers know how and where to find runes and can find runes very fast cause it's just random. Also they use higher ppl for it.

Quick question. When find item, I see some people have the 6ist sword out when doing it, and sometimes others with their wizspikes out when doing it. Which is better for mf?

Without enigma on budget I ran trav+pindle+shenk/eldritch and then new game. Worked pretty well

I recently made my first Barb - so nice for farming Pindle (with harmony)

The most important things i miss in allllll the d2 builds are the how to level section.for a barb like a berserker you got a few options but if you choose a sorc for example its easy..you picl blizzard and your good to go with any kind of gear but for barb however its another story since your main weapon will be your killer.if you dont have a grief or botd the killing part will not be as fast as the ones when you own those 2 weapons.soo when will someone make those builds when you start a new char to put some choices into that build with what to level .poe mostly got it and thats really helpfull for new players.for me its no big deal i know diablo out of my head but this is just an shoutout to the streamers who make

Just use a leveling guide like maxroll one and respec once you hit lv75 - 80 which you can attain in nightmare by doing baal runs

If you wanted to do this Untwinked, what's the easiest way to start farming Trav for runes? Or would you just farm LK? Would you farm NM Meph for butchers pupil ect? Would you do a WC build? (I tried but even with dual spirit and 17 insight I had bad mana problems)

A budget option would be Trav and Arachnid Lair. The latter is quick to get to and small. And 85.

This build is best only at a very limited area of magic finding and that's hunting for unique, set, rare and magic versions of TC85 bases. For general magic finding, sorcs and other characters with either act boss stomping or screen wiping skills are much, much better. If anyone is expecting to drop hundreds of uniques and sets per hour with this build, you are very wrong. You will actually see much less of those in comparison to e.g. full clearing CS including Diablo but you will get a a real chance to drop that Tyrael's or Death's Web once during your 10k pit runs. Maybe you should mention this somewhere in your video, dude.

If you have the 5 os ettin axe rune master with 5 ists and a goldwrap belt you get the same mf as a 6 ist'ed crystal sword and trang's belt but the secondary effects are better imo. +5 max cold resist, 80% gf, 10% ias vs. 66 to life, 50 to mana, and 5 to replenish life. Really just the 10 ias.
And yeah I'm aware he mentioned it in the video.
Wouldn’t it also be the same as putting an Ist in a shako and using the rune master with 5 ists? I think this would be the absolute best option out of them all
I thought about this but another thing to consider is you’re maxing sword mastery and still using both weapons even if it’s on the off hand. Also in terms of usability if you wanted to use that ettin axe on another char or trade later the 6 isted crystal sword is more versatile across different builds in my opinion.

Oath is okay, but that's the problem, it's only okay. Grief is just so far beyond that you can't really compare it to anything else.

On HC, i changed out the 6 ist'ed sword with stormshield. And i've changed chansies for LoH. I was also running skullders ire before enigma and it still worked great. A bit slow compared to sorcs, but still a really solid build. If WW gets changed and becomes good, it can change out berserker. However, converting to magic damage is to good to ignore on d2. To teleport safe with berserker you have to have 120fcr (double wizzy and i use a crafted barb amu with fcr to cap it out), it's really something people ignore on HC and then they die. On top of that, a lot of WC/life gc's and 7mf/res sc's, ended up on 400mf regular and 600mf with two alibaba for horking on trav runs. Tbh though, anything above 400mf is not helping much. Oh and don't use ravenfrost or cold damage items. You will not end up with corpses to yell at for more items, they will just shatter on hit.
Horrible cow runner or any place with lots of monsters like sanctuary. Can't do baal or diablo runs by himself (at least if you want to kill every monster). But the best character at getting hrs on, 100%. Oh and people will be mad at you in public games for not being a 100% bo barb, or bitch barb as i call them lol.

Alibaba is good to use lem runes for gold finder barbarians. It makes the magic finding secondary but still good. Gambling regularly keeps the dream of gg circlets alive but I've never found.
Why so many points into find potion and not find item ?
I swear I always have the best luck with just max run speed and full clearing shit, I understand the drop rates are way better on bosses but I get a majority of my rune drops from regular creatures.
i jsut found a crappy 5 os runemaster was was considering doing the 5 ists in there to save both an ist and a cham rune by using ptopaz shako... i know its slower but sure 5 ist runemaster is better than 6 soc crystal/phase.. its same results but save 2 runes.

Berserk got a huge Magic Dmg Bonus,so Physical immun Bosses goin down real quick too. Thats why 🙂
He uses berserk so he can use the 6 ist'd weapon and so he can afford to put points into the skills necessary to make this build work (find potion, find item, howl, battle orders) while still having great berserk damage with all it's synergies.
1) big single target dmg 2) 8-frame teleport 3) horking . Basically, it’s the best setup to hunt down uniques, and crush them with 1-2 hits for double rewards.
If you have 2 Grief, WW is higher DPS, but since you don't have MF gear in your off hand, your MF is worse when killing. You can have MF gear on your weapon swap for horking though. Also, your leech works, so Trav won't be difficult at all. I find it much better than Berserk in Trav, but if you have Enigma and want to do the Pit, that would be a different story. I haven't tried Frenzy personally but it also has worse DPS than WW, even when they both have 2 Grief (according to Maxroll).
The difference was his fire res was at max and e had a dwarfstar and wasn't on players 7 doing the trav runs to begin with. Its all documented in his livestreams on the channel.
as a budget option I ran najs armor and staff on swap for 180 mf and you can throw a p topaz in armor and ist in the staff.. if you have enough gold find the 137k repair charges aren't so bad. I'll even zerk with the staff if I'm feeling greedy.
Yesh, the level of the gear / runes for this stuff, I know all the streamers do it, but what else do you farm for when you've spent all the time getting this junk? You've kind of already won the game.

I found a Lo rune and a ohm rune both just clearing trash in act 1 horking everything I kill using frenzy and WW so I run really fast with a fortitude on I just start in the cold plains and just clear every monster in every act... Recently act one is the most profitable....
Hey Mr llama why do most people recommend trang belt instead of goldwrap or cham rune instead of raven frost ring. I have read several guides and always get the impression of overlooking raven.
ravenfrost adds cold damage which shatters corpses so you cant use item find on them
raven frost ring has cold damage on it so it can sometimes shatter corpses which you then cant use to item find. but you can use it ive heard someone say out of 10 runs they only see 1 or 2 shatter at travincal at least. so thats why most suggest getting cannot be frozen elsewhere

Have you tried this on switch? I have a pitzerker (nearly same gear) on single player switch and it really struggles. I am wondering if you need mouse and keyboard for the micro on this.

That works fine on SP but if you play online the Pit is a waste of time because of the time it takes to find the entrance on the map. You are really relegated to farming Trav, Chaos and WSK, but luckily a 90+ level barb with good gear can farm all those areas which are the best spots because you don't need to teleport around looking for the entrance, and WSK will be necessary later for getting XP as well.
It takes like 10-15 seconds to find the entrance of the pit, especially if you are teleporting.
OK but... how do I like, grind up the gear for it LOL

I'm curious why you stacked a bunch of small charms when you could have farmed Andariel for Gheed's fortune charms. Even an average roll is higher than 3 small charms MF combined. I'm just a stickler for inventory space I guess.
Good budget option is putting a point into Frenzy and skill the enigma You can run the pits pretty fast with frenzy

With the new WW updates, you can 100% MF fairly quickly on players 5. I know this as I am currently using one, although I'm using last wish.... however dual cheap griefs will work great as well.

It depends on what you want to do and how much you care about farming optimally. Berserk barb will be the best for unique hunting. But if you're playing online and are fine with trading, running a WW barb on P1 Trav is fantastic value, and has a bunch of loot diversity between Runes, Facets, jewelry, charms, and gambling.
I do WW find item barb for travincal runs. Very fast, very efficient, works like a charm.

Secont sets of weapons i have two ali baba swords 91 mf each. So i kill monsters then switch to 280 mf and use find items. And this is without enigma. With enigma it will much more. So i killing witch base weapons with mf cca 100. Then switch to second sets and use find item for corpses with 270 mf. Andd i opened boxes and treasures with second sets weapons too. Bad thing is, i must nonstop switch weapons, its annoying but it works

35 mf is the best you can get on a diadem. I think you got something pretty rare there but not sure the value or how desired it is.

I have tried this build out with the same gear that you have, and it is not an efficient MF build. Actually, my sorceress is more efficient at 225% MF compared to the barb at 568% MF. WHY? Simple, because the magic items we want are from bosses, and this build is a horrible boss killer where it takes 2-3x as long doing straight boss runs as my Nova Sorceress. This is also a very agonizing build to play. The theory is there, but it is the bosses that have the items we want and this build just does not clear a boss run fast enough, as compared to more devastating builds with half the MF. Just my thoughts after a weeks worth of testing.

But you might as well do that, as it's a quick way to level up your character beyond level 85, same for chaos sanctuary.
Nope, technically you only need to kill hell baal if you want to farm cows. So long as you do your Anya quest for the final +10 All res scroll, you're good to go!

why do you switch to your fcr setup to hork? Since the most mf is on dmg setup (grief and the 6 isted sword)?
i can't afford an engima right now, jah and ber is extremely hard to find in single play. and i need to farm mephisto with my barb. what do you think about damage reduction against the self-explosive monsters? i find that with high defense, damage reduction and life leech i can ignore how many health i have. also if i want to fight the other bosses with this barb, max out berzerk is not the best option. i find it farming baal is usually more rewardful but yes slower than farming in the travincal.
It's much easier to farm runes in single, just watch how it does streamers

@@kiss4luna I'm talking not about time that streamers farm. Streamers know how and where to find runes and can find runes very fast cause it's just random. Also they use higher ppl for it.
