I think the Torps are taking directly from Ostergotland. The low detect and torps seems like where it becomes competitive with Rupprecht. But, it seems like Ruppy is arguably the best T9 BB in the game, so that might not be fair. Good vid and by the way: "tah' ka hosh ee"👍
I think secondaries are viable in her, especially in ranked mode. The 10.6 conceal with 10.5 secondaries is a really nice combo. I find that she does best in tier 9 ranked though
You’re timing on the Kearsarge was off. Meaning, were giving a tad more broadside to launch torps as his next salvo was coming up. Try angling away from the smoke (always harder to torp a BB moving away) and towards the Kearsarge and torp him in between his salvos at point blank range. Then you could’ve used the island to shield torps from the destroyer.
If you think of it and play it more as a sluggish, super-heavy cruiser with good tankiness, concealment, torps and secondaries, rather than a battleship with small guns, it makes more sense. It's just a fun all rounder. Torps tend to get knocked out easily, but it has 16 and can reload in 71 seconds.
Karl Johan has a 32mm bow and stern, Rupprecht has what, 27mm? 29mm? Also has a good turtle back and better stealth. Its much tankier. Also while fewer secondaries, they're generally larger caliber and tear up destroyers good.
I dont know why all videos on youtube use her like Ruprecht even knowing the ruprecht is better brawler. KJ is not a brawler, her lack of hp, low caliber guns and so so secondaries are enough reason for me
I recommend it if you are looking for a fun ship. It’s an all rounder, just a fun ship to do silly things in.

yeah i agree, schliefflen is way better i think but rupprecht is ok
