The funny thing about the zao is that it doesn’t have enough horizontal armor to arm satsuma’s shells until it’s already gone through pretty much the entire ship. It’s the same principle on how smolensk getting overpenned at like 6km flat broadside works, just in a different direction.
zao can through the AP because she has low citadel and Tilted armor belt can ricochet AP if you ap has high speed ,it will through because of Short width i upload and analysis ships ,welcome to my channel!
The devstrike on Zao might be one of the over pens doing full pen damage - although it overpens at first it proceeded to do a full pen, thereby doing full damage but still showing up as an overpen (the ribbon only counts for what happens at first hit - that’s why you can occasionally see ricochet citadels)
@@derrickstorm6976 it’s definitely possible but very unlikely. But if it was a citadel the citadel ribbon should show up, which didn’t happen in this case
Superboats should be locked into TX-T11 matchmaker. Everyone's had experience of being a hammer and the nail, but ships like Satsuma/Anna makes it unplayable. I was in a team with 2 Ibukis and it is basically a Myoko w/heal going into T11. Brutal
I honestly don't have any problems with superships. They're mostly just T11's. I'd rather play against an Annapolis in Des Moines than against a T8 sub.
@@AllAhabNoMobySame i have zero problems with superships and play tier 9 a lot. Super bbs are really fun to farm on, but i guess some people should stay on lower tiers to get more experience.

If I calculated correctly the 510's overmatch 35.66 mm. So how is that worse for a Patrie than a vanilla Yamato? The only real threshold there is 32mm no?
@@MsYellow123456 My point is, for the Patrie it makes no difference who fires at him, the Satsuma or a Yamato. Well it makes a difference in damage because the Satsuma has a heavier AP broadside, but it makes no difference in overmatch.
@@generaldong-dong5635 Doubt Yamato can fit four triple-460mm gun turrets without compromising multiple ship's compartment, she's 42m shorter than Satsuma.

Regarding your point about T9s around the 6:30 mark, it's not so much WG trying to incentivize the grind into T10. It's more of a marketing strategy for impulsive spending players to throw money for FXP to skip the painful torture of constantly getting your aft kicked in by T10s and superships. Even if they didn't have to face superships, T9s can have a hard time against T10s. A blatant example is the Seattle - she is extremely underpowered compared to the Worcester.
I really wonder what they are going to do with the American BB’s.. I’d think make a hybrid of the Monty and Vermont line. Problem is, isn’t Vermont already the slower, more accurate, bigger gun T10? What could they even do with it? 15 gun 457? That would be cracked. Vermont with 28-32knots oooooof.
I do more consistent damage to angled ships with overmatch than full broadside shots too - it becomes very frustrating for both sides. The guy goes "I was fully angled - how can he do 35k!!" and you go "he was fullbroadsides how do I only get overpens?" definitely a feature not a bug of a very well designed game :(
@@danh7411 I play different ships at different tiers, not sticking to one ship the whole day. So it just happened that I played my Colorado (?) on a few occasions while my div buddy was on a T9, and got thrown into a few supership matches. Really difficult staying alive!!

I hate it. Probably due a lack of skill, but I fail in it in 90% of the time. If I stay behind, I can't hit anything properly. If I move up, I'm burned to death within minutes.
Yamato is fat and has trouble turning. However, this is a different level. There is no other ship as stupidly maneuverable as this one. If you want to turn the guns, go make some tea in the meantime. Terribly boring ship to play. You just sit like a duck somewhere and shoot at 20+ km, and then when something that can move comes closer, it rips you open like a can.

they should make a seal clubbing mode where 3 superships face off against 12 tier 5 - 7s
What I like about secondaries is they discourage the DDs from getting quite so close.

I thought I heard a rumor this was getting nerfed. If so, not sure I want to get it until I see how bad it's gonna get hit with the stick.
What monitor resolution are you using? And what type of video card are you running?
Seeing myself die in this video is simultaneously painful but also really painful
Adjust all ships range under 16km and see how much fun we would have !
speaking of stuff I'd like to see changed... spotter planes also boosting the range of secondary guns and not just the main guns
Can we talk about the early years of this game, monty vs yamma, there was not so much over match and ships still died.
My understanding is they died fast back then too.
Yammy overmaching Monty bow, so not much angeling for monty => world of pain!!! :P
Those were the days when everyone and their mothers would play Yamato and no one would touch the Montana.
Some super ships are broken. In annapolis I have a Unicom pr and 150k average damage. The dpm is soo wild.

Montana hull with 16-20 203 mm guns and short reload. Basically t11 illinois

Have a "special rules" tier where superships, CV's, and subs get to run.
I want to play Satsuma so badly but I don't know if I want to spend the money on buying / running it.
Crazy overmatch? Just like T9-10 Yamato-class and additional 35mm overmatch for entire Riga deck and casemate, nothing way too crazy.
