*i think It's not about language issues , 70% Asians with full of responsibilities like taking care of parents, grandparents, and Asians can adjust their lives , always think of saving for the better future, so Americans lifestyle is different*
I'm an Asian (I mean, Malaysian Muslim) and I want to live my life after I obtain my driving license soon! I will still occasionally come back to spend Eid al-Fitr with my parents though...
I am from Sri Lanka and my husband is from the midwest, I can relate to some of their stories. We have been married for 26 years, but still, at times Cultural differences get in the way of effective communication.🤣🤣
Food part was epic 😂😂 I'm an Asian & we never order individual food its always something that everyone shares even if its a cup of icecream😂😂 that was relatable af!!
Living with parents doesn't always mean being dependent on them. It also means sharing your happiness and sadness with them. Being with them during their second childhood. The family stays as family. And that's why we do it in India. Not because it's expensive. Make a visit sometime to understand how we actually live together, bearing the expenses together.
I see Indians claiming "family values" and "taking care of parents" in comment sections. However, I almost never see Indians actually living with parents at all. They typically buy apartments/homes and stay with their wives. Frequently the wife's parents (particularly the widowed mother) is living with them but not the husbands parents.
I related with that "depression episodes" part. Remember going through that when I relocated to America years ago. That feeling of being treated like the "other" and the social exclusion that comes along with it..
It also depends on personality and social skills, like i have some friends they penetrate n become part of social circles so easily as if they have always been part of it on the other hand its extremely hard for me to make new friends.😅
@@gamesong6600 For most Asians, its not a lack of social skills, its due to racial bias of Americans. I noticed they rarely make any attempt to cross racial boundaries and make friends with people from different ethnicities, especially if they are Asians. Usually other ethnicities have to take the initiative and approach and make friends with them.
This couldn’t be better. The best interpretations of both the cultures specially the parents one or opening the door, it’s really funny to see the differences in cultures.

I guess it all boils down to the cultural differences in itself? Also, I found myself chuckling at the "on my way" part because I'm sure some of us are guilty of saying to our date that we are arriving when we have barely arrived. 😅
We are international marriage. Japanese and an American. Asian and coaciasian. I have watched all your videos, and you are an adorable couple. Relationships face cultural differences and expectations as you spend more time together. Sometimes, it does not make bothersome at the beginning due to infatuation. But we accepted each other and decided to live an American style since living in America. We are open to talking and understanding and respecting and loving each other. It has been 30 years now. We are inseparable. We have no regret. We are in love. We love you😘.
The Asian way is usually better (e.g., thinking it is great to live with mom and dad, meeting the parents after 2 weeks). Being late is not cool, though. And a frugal first date is best IMHO.
I'm a Malaysian Muslim and I can accept meeting her parents on the first date but I decide to move out of my parents' house because I want my own space, especially since I want to enjoy my "me time" with the PS5 every weekend!
