Thank you for featuring this watch on your channel. As someone who has embarrassingly small wrists for a man - slightly less than 6 inches - most dive watches look cartoonishly large on my rather puny wrists.
Wow! I had the original 65. Loved it aesthetically. It was gorgeous. The dial finishing was incredible. But the lume was mediocre. The bezel was also aluminum and painted. Water resistance was 100m. It was more of a faux or skin diver. I knew they stepped up the depth rating but I didn't know until I watched this that the bezel was ceramic and it actually has real lume!! Wow. Hamilton needs to take notes from Oris and do the same with the khaki line.
@@Angry_Gnome Anyone who is reluctant to take a risk on innovations & designs will be left behind. Oris has become a kind of one trick pony and people wants to see something different and refreshing. By the way, Oris Aquis first came out on 2011. That was 13 years ago and they have been milking it until now. And honestly, the cow's tits had been dried up a few years back, ha ha. That is my opinion.
Yup 100% correct… a little bland currently. Love their super deep diver, if they could make that style with more mainstream dimensions. Also - looks like there is no anti-reflective treatment on the crystal?? The glare is awful - if that is the case, then Oris is crazy on this watches asking price 🤪
@@vce2103 yes. that is correct. it seems like Oris's price has been inflated 100% in last 5 years (pre-covid). And I believe that customers will take a notice of that, just like you did. PS: this watch should be around $1500 range.
They made some nice improvements but no way is that a $2700 watch when you think what oris 65s have come before but i guess most people will be buying it on sale around $1500 mark or less ultimately ..
Rob likes heavily tapered bracelets? Why? Down to 14mm is ridiculous. I don't want my watch bracelet to look like a girls Pandora bracelet from the mall. I also don't like stamped clasps like on my G Shock. Cheap, thick, and always scratched.
@ have an Oris in my hand. I measure the clasp at 15.7. And I also have a metal gshock and I can tell you the clasp is more substantial. Perhaps it may be stamped but it’s a really thick gauge steel.
@@Goose619 Check out the specs online for the Oris Divers Sixty-Five Date. It states 14mm width at the clasp. The part of the clasp that has Oris engraved on it with the double pushers and 5 micro-adjust holes is stamped just like G Shock.
@ 1) way too expensive for what you get 2) no micro adjust bracelet 3) weird polished ends on links that do not go all the way down 4) unregulated cheap movement 5) goofy bracelet width with too much taper 5) quick release strap system they have was not used. It is a $1500 watch at best. IF they would have incorporated all these features it would be worth what they are asking. They lost the market with that price. All microbrands are doing it better for less.
I agree they needed to add an on the fly micro adjust. I’ve owned and flipped a lot of microbrands. They always all short for me, even with all those modern bells and whistles. But when you hold an Oris in your hands, it’s clear which one has better finishing. They also never go full retail even at ADs. The whole value for money stand point is a race to the bottom. Tudor won’t add a micro adjust to the bb58 either. Omega has absolutely atrocious divers. Longines also has terrible divers. These are the most complete divers that are made by a true heritage brand. I got one 15% off and I’m waiting for it to arrive in the mail.

I love the look of this but oris need to up the game on their movement
they have the 400 in house movement for this watch as well.
Sellita is easy to regulate....
@@adamn389I agree. Charge sellita prices then.
should be a sw300 or cosc sw200
Looks like a perfect watch to see a homage of soon. Stunning!
Finally not a microbrand review ! 👏🏻👏🏻 👏🏻 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Beautiful watch. I wanted the bronze version but they are way to small for me. If they ever decide on a 42mm version I'm here for it.

Agreed, near perfect dimensions for a skin diver. Great job by Oris here.
Very gorgeous watch.
Beautiful watch
Always regret flipping my 1st gen Aquis. Absolute tank of a watch.
Stunning watch!
Milking it to the last drop! I think it is about time to come up with another hit from Oris. thanks Rob
Why? If it ain’t broke…

2700 for a non cosc sw200 is too much. Oris is being left behind.
$2700 😳
19mm lug width?
Ouch ...
2500...that alot
Wow, that's good lookin! Great job Oris 👏
38 mm? Do they make those in men's sizes?
Unfortunately it's the trend
this is so naive....dude...it's not your watch size that makes you a man....w compact sizes. I'll leave big unclassy watches to russians
Do they make you in an adult model?
@@44Magpie another one relating watch size to insecurity about the size of something else. 🙄
This just triggered so many people.
Absolutely love that creamy dial

It’s definitely milled and not stamped. The clasp is also 16mm so it balances out the taper.
