on the Funko app, they show the "fake box"-no cut outs for the pop. Why would they do that?
also what does the bottom look like? mine doesnt have the sticker that shows the year.

11:03 I just copped a General Grevious 129 without any sticker at all. It was apparently a first release from 2016
It must have fallen off or never had it in the first place as a mistake

The colors of the light sabers on the box are different, the cape is also darker on the box, the circle that has 129 on the side of the box is darker, the eyes are different on the actual pop, the light sabers are different color on the actual pop

Now you’ve got me scared ..as I just ordered a general grievous box from pop cultcha here in australia…and just checked the website and the picture they show in the add ,is a general G with out the small window in front bubble …it’s solid white like the fake…..pop cult ha don’t sell fakes do they….guess I’ll find out next week when it arrives…..thx for the heads up on fakes

So hi, I didn't watch this video ahead of time and I did buy a fake General Grievous Funko Pop... should I still keep it just to have it? Does it even *count* as owning one? It still looks 99% like it and you can't tell from a straight distance? Just curious
If you're happy with owning it and don't care to have a real one, then by all means keep it. However, if you plan on selling it one day, you'll need to be upfront about it's authenticity with potential buyers.

You didnt mention the black lines on the head the real one goes down to the eyes the fake dose not also the hand holding the green sabre is different 😉👍

Just discovered this video! And now I know mine is a fake 😂 tho the figure looks identical , apart from the Matt black eyes and the two lines on Chest isn’t painted black! But I only paid £20 for it! So into entirely disappointed 😂😂

Thankfully I was able to know which was fake within 3 seconds, but thanks a lot for making this kind of video, nothing is more frustrating than dropping 100$ or more and get a fake.

I just spent $154.00 on Anikan Skywalker $39.99, Jango Fett $49.00 and General Grievous $49.99, plus $11.00 for shopping. Also my girlfriend just bought me Mace Windu for $34.99. Thank you

Great video...in box that was a little tough to tell. Out of box, he looks a little derpy, not as clean of a mold. I’m a huge turtles fan but I know the common set is faked a bit and that has always kinda put me off getting them from Mercari or eBay.

Hello, a few months ago I commented on how I bought a fake Grievous and all that. Well now I was thinking of a getting a real one and I found a few that have a sticker that says “Special Edition”, in stead of the Walgreens sticker. Are they fake also?

I have a couple of that Boba Fett and I didn't think it was expensive enough to bootleg. I asked my echo how much it was before leaving this comment and I was pleasantly surprised. Watch out for fakes, he is a very popular character as we all know. Good luck building your collection!

Come on bra, it's hard enough moving these bootlegs without some busybody giving away all your secrets. Do you have any idea how much time and effort we put into the box alone? Don't worry, we have plenty of other expensive popular pops circulating in the community right now that nobody has any idea R fakes. The real and fake boxes are pretty close. sometimes really hard to compare unless you have a real one. I want to see Fake Bloody Hannibal and Real Bloody Hannibal.

If it was the Woody from Dollarama, then yes, you did get a fake....I saw a bunch of these in my local Dollarama and I bought one to compare it to the real one that I own and oh yeah, it was a total fake....

Unless it's the lighting, the fake pop has a darker color scheme on the box at the Cape and the PoP! Logo. (Darker blacks and reds)
Also very 1st thing I noticed was the shiny vs matte paint on the eyes.
