- In the continuing saga of Gran Turismo, we examine another set of "unicorns". But this time, we realize that most of the cars featured in this video were also in the PS3 GT games. As such, this is the "Standard Car" edition of "Unicorns of Gran Turismo".
Notes:
I haven't been able to record my own footage of GT5 or GT6 since RPCS3 is a resource hog. I'm sure one of these days we'll finish things off when either the emulator gets more optimized or I come to own a real PS3. Whichever comes first.
Corrections:
The Proto/Oullium Spirra also appeared in Forza Motorsport 2, where it's labeled as a 2006 model.

I’m surprised the MINOLTA Toyota 88C-V isn’t on this list! It’s been standard in all 3 games it appeared in, & was part of GT4’s “big 3”.
Always loved the 1000hp turbo'd Minolta
@@MrShidPasta who didn’t?😁😁😁
Was it part of the Big 3 though?
As far as I remember it was the Nissan, Mazda and Toyota GT1/Group C cars
@@Vulpes_Shinbi the fastest of the Group C cars on GT4:
Nissan R92CP
MINOLTA Toyota 88C-V
Sauber Mercedes C9.
@@BeAGoodDoga And? It's not part of the Iconic Big 3 of GT3/4
I was searching for a new video today..
Thank you Very much🎉🎉🎉🎉
Toyota Pod my beloved
The Ouiliam/Proto motors Spirra is not a GT unicorn, as it also appeared in Forza Motorsport 2
argh
@@squiddythekid3976 Don't worry too much, sometimes I make mistakes like that as well.
"Finally, something from Genki that's free of Genki driving jank!"
So true
Nice video.
How did you add motion blur in gt4?
applying ReShade to PCSX2
The Genki car😍😍 Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero will always be remembered as my favorite. That game has the best car list for JDM vehicles.
Amazing vídeo, man. Good insight about the Genki Silvia S15, by the way as a drifter, I can say that it's car comes with grip tune as standard. Most D1 cars also comes with racing tune.
About Genki games, TXRD2 and Kaido Racer 2 in Europe by Konami are proper localizations.
Id also like to defend the catfish Camaros, any of them looks amazing on sideways.
Totally random question, if you were to decide how much is too much or just enough in terms of Exhaust customization ? how many varieties would be just the right amount ?
I draw the line at bamboo pipes
The Formula cars in GT3 are actual F1 cars from the mid 80's to the mid 90's, they just didn't have their real names and liveries, but are alluded to. The Formula Gran Turismo '04 is unique since it doesn't adhere to any F1 ruleset. Instead it's what F1 could be if many technologies weren't banned, like ground effect
How will it be good if we got monaco in gt7/8
I believe toyota Pod was also available in choro Q games on GBA (Road trip : Shifting gears in the US)
that's a handheld game, it doesn't count
it's also not licensed in that game
Interesting how spoiled some people can become when there's too many cool sports cars available to them.
Hey Americans, if you don't want the catfish Camaro, I wouldn't mind having one*. Even a lower end one, like those in older GTs where they had like, different trims of the then-current Camaro (SS and Z28) and Corvette (Coupe vs ZR1).
*Though, more specifically, one as affordable to me as it is to all of you. Meaning a cool old car that costs a few times your monthly earnings, not a sub-100hp, probably even sub-80hp, 15-years-old hatchback that costs 10 times a month's of my wage.
Also, those (street-spec) Camaros were semi-premium in GT6, which ended up calling my attention to them. I think they might have been the first of those improved cars (of only a few) I noticed back in the day.
It took Chevrolet quite a while to finally Build Camaro for the le mans series, and it outperform GT2 cars
Would've been funny if they used the Toyota Pod's as a ''coffee break'' event or as a separate optional license test for a special price
Im surprised that HKS 180SX from gran turismo 2 didnt make it that far in the newer series
Or the HKS R33. Both are the fastest cars in GT2, alongside the (tuned) Escudo.
the gran turismo virus very terrifying
You have a channel dedicated to a racing game and don‘t have a racing wheel?
money and space are finite, which i have neither of
Toyota RSC you can buy GT 6 in car salon is not WRC car
