"When you have to tell your patient to live, when you havent even pushed through a little walk"... damn man. Thanks for sharing. Have you ever read Seven Story Mountain? A lot of WW2 vets read this, then used their own foot travels to get over their combat depressions in the late 40s/50s. -V/R, a random 68C
Hi Alex, found your channel through your ADT hike , have been watching your PCT videos, and man what a journey 😳👊 My heart goes out to you, and the friends and families of those that passed on the trail😔 I thank you sincerely for what you've done, and what you're doing. I lost a dear friend to suicide who was a veteran. One if not the most difficult things I've ever had to deal with in my life. Friends and family really helped me through that. You stay safe , stay well my friend 👍✌️Thank you🥾
I know this video is old, but I wanted to comment on this video because of my story. As a veteran who attempted suicide in 2019, this video would have helped me a lot. Your journey would have helped me so much during such a dark time in my life. I have been struggling with Depression since and only recently discovered my love of hiking. I am planning on hiking the PCT as my first thru-hike in 2024 or 2025. For now I am trying to prepare myself physically as much as I can. I just want to say thank you for bringing awareness to such a horrible statistic. I am going through all of your videos and I’m so happy that you completed this journey and many others by now. Great job. Wonderful accomplishments. Bravo Zulu!
Hey thank you so much for reaching out! I wish my video would have reached you sooner. Let me know if you have any questions in preparation for your thru-hike. I’m sure you’ll have the time of your life!
At first I thought I didn’t need to watch this video but after seeing it come up several times with nothing else interesting to watch, I relented. I am so glad I did! This caps off the real reason to watch this whole season of videos. Thanks for sharing, my depression is a lot less and I have realized I need to get out there, by my self to identify with the real me.
Alexander..You've been on a great journey...it is a pleasure to tag along on the trail (via Ytube) and see how you've grown and worked with your strong heart and good intentions. You've honored the brothers and sisters , with your awareness Mission & healing journey and helping others, with all the good medicine within you.. 15:28 Turn IMPOSSIBLE into *I'm POSSIBLE* 29:22 LOL...dog mobile..cool 🐶🐶🐶🐶 cheers
