In order to obtain this "Very Streamlined Citizenship process from Sierra Leone" Afro Americans must still meet the guidelines to receive "citizenship" First You Must Take A DnA test to prove that you have Sierra Leone DnA. (African Ancestry is the best because of their network with West Afrikan Countries) Then you must apply... Sierra Leone has the best citizenship process for Afro Diasporans in our Afro Diaspora.

To be clear, you need Sierra Leonean DNA to get citizenship in that nation. I know that the vast majority of black americans don't have that DNA, so people should know that African Americans can travel through West Africa in any case. Getting the requisite Visas is a simple matter, so no one should be discouraged. If all else fails, you are always welcome in Ghana.

Here is an irony. Sierra Leone was named for its mountains by the Portuguese. As a country the borders were created by the British so they determined who fit into the country vs not. Freetown is the capital and it was founded in part by African Americans. Therefore I would argue we should not have to pass a test to have citizenship in a country people related to us helped found.

A bit of an exaggeration, but the point is you can't fake your DNA, and very few of them will have SL DNA. Even if every one of those qualified moved to Ghana, it would barely be a drop in the bucket. Only a fraction of the number of Nigerians or Liberians in Ghana.

I have my suspicion as to why they would not want to do so Basically Nigerian is divided into mainly Muslim North and a mainly Christian South. Based on slave trade records and distant cousin matches people tend to get most of our Nigerian ancestry is from the South. There is tension between the South and North. The main tribe in the North is the Hausa or Hausa-Fulani. These are really two tribes combined by conquest and intermarriage. Now, most likely we being mainly Christian would be more likely to join with the South which would increase (maybe) the power of the South. Of course some of us are Muslim and might orientate towards the North

Absolutely correct . I mentioned that recipe for disaster to my brother / friend / mentor about 4 years before it happened , while we were on the ferry getting from the Targrin terminal at Lungi , as we approached the Kissy terminal in Freetown , looking at the calous ways houses were built on the mountains , along the Atlantic coast. I am 60 years old . About 95% of the huge tropical rain forest trees which covered the mountains when I was a kid , have been cut down , and no trees are being planted to replace at least half the number of the ones which were lawlessly destroyed. Chances are when it rains heavily as it usually happens in August ,(the peak of the rainy season) , loose soil saturated with rain might slide from the top of the slope .

I agree with you! Although I realize there's no perfect place on Earth and everyone and every place on Earth is not perfect. But I do know that some of the things that are going on over here in America, can really change and environment especially if you bring an attitude, disrespect to any country or anywhere or around anyone can actually change a situation for the worst. Although I would love myself to go to Africa, I know for fact that I have a great attitude! I love the continent and my ancestral African people . I have a very good spirit about me but I know that the devil is in some people and they got no business going nowhere... they need to stay right where they are! So, I agree with you and everybody is not perfect but some people just need to stay right where they are because they would mess up a whole situation in one second.... especially a positive situation that Sierra Leone is trying to create with us from the West. I'm not trying to be mean or anything tho....I'm just saying that there are bad people everywhere but certainly we know over here is a hot mess because there's no respect, bad attitude and everything else to go with it and we witness the everyday on the news it is terrible and foursome is in their neighborhood . So some people may be bringing negative baggage I don't know it's not for me to judge but these are things that have to be paid close attention to. I know the people not naive in Sierra Leone to what's happening in the West! They need to understand that everybody coming there may not bring the good that they're portraying that they're bringing ! I get what you're saying. But I guess we're going to have to see how it all plays out. But one thing I know for sure is that I'm a positive American woman with a very good attitude , the right spirit and I know that I put God first. So I could never bring negativity anywhere that I go it's not in my nature. Sorry I had to reply to what you said because I did agree but I wanted to add a little more about what I was thinking as well. And one more thing this is an opportunity for our people to pull together in a positive way we have no other choice. Our race as a people has made all types of choices but this time we should know how to get it right by now... .especially after all we've gone through. Such as slavery and separation and the list goes on and on.

Almost all the major construction contracts in the US are being done by foreigners. Do you know the number of Japanese firms that built buildings in the 90s in the US? It was so many Bruce Willis had to do a movie about it. Now, the Chinese are giving loans to pretty much every country on the planet including the US. Do you know how much the US owes China? Billions.
Now, do you know when the Chinese started coming to Africa and what the infrastructure was like before they came? Granted the Chinese have done major construction in Africa recently but it’s a very tiny amount compared to what was already there.

Mostly Mexicans and foreigners. So who is building what?
Africa is gradually getting its act together and I’m hopeful the youth will reshape the world…watch that space.
