I use a mix of oils (JBCO, grape seed, vitamin e, rosemary, olive) absolutely amazing in Manuka Honey masque by shea moisture. Just started doing this a couple of weeks ago and I'm upset that I haven't been doing it.
I add honey to my leave-in conditioner. Just about an ounce of honey per 12 ounces of leave-in. If you mix well- you won't have any stickiness, and it will not separate back out.
Why so I get super excited whenever you post a video?? You give your subbies such great info for natural hair. Your channel is absolutely amazing Shawnta. Thanks so much for always sharing such amazing tips with us.☺😊😍
I add honey to regular & deep conditioners any time of the year. I leave it on under a heat cap for 30 minutes rinse with cool water...curls be popp'n!!! My hair loves honey. Everyone's hair responds differently to certain products.
Great video. I've used most of these ideas, but adding hibiscus powder and/or amla powder is excellent. I did try aloe gel from the plants I have and that was a big mess where the gel became these little balls all in my curls. It took weeks to get that out, so I use aloe powder now.
Hey Shawnta :)!! Not necessarily an add, but I started steaming my hair with my deep condish in and I'm loving the results. My hair is super shiny & moisturized and my wash and gos look better, stay moisturized longer, and last longer.
I did a deep conditioner this past weekend for the first time that contained castor oil, honey, a little bit of lemon juice, extra virgin olive oil and some left over protein and moisture balance treatment and fresh water (next time I will try adding green tea water instead). I applied in sections because my hair is super thick. This was a messy application mainly due to the honey. However, my curls just clumped together so of course that was a good sign. I covered my hair with a plastic cap for about 2 hours. My hair was super soft with shine. Will try this once again with some of the same ingredients minus 1 or 2 for something else. Overall my hair loved this deep conditioning treatment.
Great video, thanks... You have helped me so much care for my daughters hair. I'm so glad I found you on youtube.. Keep up the great work, I get so excited when you post a new video. Are you going to do anymore videos on Noriya's hair?
@@dianneb2767 yes but actually I never use gloves anymore. I actually like that aspect because it shows me how strong the henna is and it goes away after 2 days. 😃
Great video! You are so right about that aloe Vera juice. My hair responds well to it. Congratulations with you subscriber count you a about to bump up another digit 🙌🏾
Omg I do all of these!!!!!! I only do tea rinses when I have excessive shedding and feel I need a strengthening treatment, but I do oils and honey weekly.
Hey!! Okay what are the Full Steps for growing/moisturizing/Caring for natural hair? Do I wash once a week? what are the steps to washing, co washing, deep conditioning etc..? thanks this will be very helpful! ;)
It might separate over time when left to sit. You'll endup mixing again either way if it does. I think you should put a small amount of the combination in a clear bottle, let it sit for two weeks and check the results.
I am going through the early transitioning of natural hair. I am so new to this. For the conditioner, do I wash the conditioner out when mixing it with these oils?
Shawntay HELP!!! My growth has plateaued and I don't know what to do. I've changed my diet to a complete plant based diet, I drink 64oz of water a day, I take supplements, I use organic coconut oil and I've started working out more! What am I doing wrong??? Maybe my body is just in shock because I took away all the crap! lol I don't know?
Not shawntay, but i went through that when i became a vegan. Not only did it plateau, it started shedding and my doctor had the same situation with her hair when she became vegan. It mostlikely is protien deficit, a common vegetarian/vegan problem. Once i put the protien back my hair went back to growing it went to my waist before i just cut it off this past november but it was going nowhere fast untill i replaced the protein. I tried lots of beans and such but i ended up just going back to meat, but only grassfed beef or cagefree vegetarian fed poulty. My mom is still vegetarian and she didn't replace the protien that her bloodwork showed she had a lack of and now hse has a balding. Protein is important especially since you are already eating cleaner and drinking water.
Lavona Edwards Thank you Lavona. For some reason, I thought that had something or a lot to do with it. It was growing nicely and then happened the switch-up! Maybe I'll start with fish!
If you can try using Horsetail and MSM powder together. I use a teaspoon of both in my tea or juice daily but you have to make your own judgement of how much you want to take. My hair has grown so much using this combination of herbs. Also, eat more avocados. They grow you hair like crazy!
Hey shawnta I'm zinneycole luv luv ur channel so much Want to ask,is it hair high porosity nd my hair is 11 months natural nd its growing but breaks a lot how can I get my hair to grow longer nd stop breaking My hair is high porosity nd it's 4a 4b help

lessie owolabi not all people can use jbco. So if it's causing you problems, please stop using it. My hair doesn't like coconut oil or aloe Vera. And that's just for starters!
Airionna Fordham Lol. I figured as much. But I thought that about beets and it's not. Well pickled beets still is, but plain beets is okay. I probably have to put the aloe vera in smoothies or mix with other juices.

Thank you so much for this video. It was very informative. I really like using oils in my deep conditioners.
Lellie Sosa same!
I add henna and Aloe Vera powder and juice to my deep conditioner!
Does this leave your hair really soft?
Elisa Okehie I would say it makes your hair strong as henna powder is like a protein replacement.
Does the henna powder color your hands?
@@dianneb2767 yes but actually I never use gloves anymore. I actually like that aspect because it shows me how strong the henna is and it goes away after 2 days. 😃
I'm ready to your mixture tomorrow. How many times do you do this in a month?

What deep conditioners/products do you use or make because products are getting really expensive
try aussie mega moist, coconut milk, honey, and your favorite oils. make sure you warm up the coconut milk a little. I hope this helps
You mix it together?
yes you do!
The ORS replenishing conditioner is $5 in Walmart/Target. Also, Queen Helene Super cholesterol is $5 in Walmart. 😎🔥🎉
